I'm the world's biggest baby when it comes to medical procedures but I did my ICL surgery with Dr. Rany and the only thing I regret is that I didn't do it sooner! I've had terrible eyes my entire life and was finally sick of it so I first went to Dr. Rany for a free LASIK consultation. Unfortunately I have terrible eyeball genetics so I was unable to qualify for LASIK or its red headed stepchild, PRK. At first I was disappointed and angry that Dr. Rany told me I couldn't do the procedure after finally mustering up the courage after so many years but this is the main reason I trust Dr. Rany so much. She was very thorough with my examination while the other LASIK places I went to were very fast and insincere. I know now that doing Lasik on my terrible corneas could have lead to very serious and long lasting issues so I'm forever grateful that Dr. Rany told me no and to consider an alternative method called ICL. I first thought there was no way I was going full cyborg and implanting a contact lens into my eyeball forever so I said no thank you. After doing some research a few years later, I read that ICL didn't have any of the things I was worried about with LASIK so I finally decided to commit and do the procedure! I went in for another extremely thorough exam to make sure my eyes were chill and then scheduled my procedure day. They made me feel very comfortable and gave me some Xanax to calm me down. The procedure began and was completely painless but I'll admit it was a very strange sensation. So strange that the amount of Xanax they gave me was not enough and I had to pause the procedure like a baby and take more. The main vibe with the procedure is that you have to stare super long into a super bright light. After you get through the first eye, which only takes about 5 minutes, you're off to the races and the second one is over before you know it. After I finished, I walked out and immediately had vision! It was blurry but painless and I could see. It took me about 48 hours to begin seeing well. For payment, they allowed me to split the procedure into 24 payments with no interest and no money down which was chill and then I was on my merry way. 10/10 no notes. read more

I could not have been happier with my experience here at Laser Eye Surgery! Romel my surgical tech was absolutely phenomenal! He noticed I was nervous and helped me calm and gave me the best care. He assured me it was going to be a great surgery. His attention to detail made the experience for me. After that it was so easy and the whole surgery took less than 10 minutes. I had my left eye done which had a -2.50 and a stigmatism and I've worn contacts for 20+ years. Now with this surgery there is a really good chance that I might not ever need reading glasses. That said, the options were way out of my price range so this will not be affordable for someone like myself who is on very fixed income these days. I did and do appreciate their time and it was a free exam but my priorities and expenses are more important than this "luxury" in my opinion. So for now bifocals are going to have to do. My experience with laser eye center was very awesome and appreciated the care and patience i received by the front staff at check in. Sandra was helpful with explaining what needed to be filled out. When it came time to be seen by the eye doctor it was a very great experience. Doctor Elhaj was very thorough with the eye exam and very patient with answering the questions I had about my eyes. I had my procedure done 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier!! This is your sign to do it if you're thinking about it! So I went in for a free consultation and qualified for lasik. Two weeks later, we scheduled the surgery and I only needed 2 days off to really go back to work. The procedure was really quick too. I'd say it took about 10-15 minutes. I first heard about Dr. Rany Woo at Laser Eye Center from a friend who had got lasik last December 2021. I had been thinking about doing lasik for a while now but finally decided to visit for their free consultation just to make sure I was eligible for lasik and luckily I was. Their office wasn't too hard to find and I had no trouble finding parking in their parking garage. Everybody working was really nice and after the multiple tests they walked me through the entire process of lasik and even suggested I do Contoura Vision as well. Once I decided to move forward it was a very quick and simple process. I scheduled a date for the procedure with Dr. Rany Woo and on that day she ran the same eye exams just to be sure everything was good to go. The fact that she was double checking everything made me feel even more comfortable moving forward with the procedure. The actual lasik / Contoura vision procedure was super quick and painless! They made it a point to make sure I was comfortable the entire time, which I was. There are multiple checkups after the procedure to make sure everything is going smoothly and there are no complications, so just be sure to have a pretty open schedule. It all happened so quick, but honestly I'm so glad I did it! It's pretty life changing waking up with 20/20 vision! I couldn't recommend this more after having worn glasses and contact lenses for most of my adult life. Excellent Quality and Service After consulting with two other laser eye clinics prior, a friend recommended I try Laser Eye Center too and I'm certainly glad I did because I got to meet the incredible Dr. Woo! After the usual eye exam by their excellent and friendly staff, Dr. Woo discussed all my various eye treatment options. I ultimately chose to get lasik contoura and set the date for my procedure. The clinic itself is located in Koreatown going toward DTLA. The building has it's own parking garage but I'm usually always able to find street parking too. The day of my procedure, they tested my eyesight again, and then prepped me for the procedure itself as well as the aftercare. They gave me a Xanax to calm me down a bit (I was naturally a little anxious), and then we began the procedure. They say the overall procedure takes about 15 minutes, but honestly it felt even shorter. Dr. Woo was calm, quick and efficient and her staff talked me through every step of the procedure. Before I knew it, I was done, and they sent me on my merry way. I had a follow up appointment with them the next day, and then another one two weeks after, and I can happily report that I have 20/20 vision. My whole time with Laser Eye Center and Dr. Woo was top-notch and I couldn't be happier with the staff and overall experience. He tratado muchas veces de dejar mi experiencia y no me dejan finalmente espero y pase hoy. Me operé con ellos y sigo usando lentes page $4mil o más y fueron tan no profesionales de decirme que por lo menos ahora soy diferente medida de lentes y no me quisieron devolver mi dinero. Sinceramente mis ojos jamás volvieron hacer los mismos y uso lentes, son oscuros porque queden muy sensible a la luz. No se de donde sacan tan buenos reportes, no creo ser de las pocos que no les sirvió la cirujia. Antes escribí un reporte que desapareció, igual que ahora, me escribieron para que quede constancia aquí que se preocupan y antes jamás se comunicaron, más bien me trataron mal. Ahora me llamaron pero no quieren devolverme mi dinero que sería lo correcto si a mi NO me sirvió para nada y más bien me afecto por la sensibilidad que tengo en mis ojos. If I could I would give dr woo & the staff at laser eye center A MILLION STARS! I went from just under -10 to perfect vision in less than a week, thanks to Dr Woos expertise! I underwent ICL instead of lasik and truly i can't believe I didn't go through with this surgery earlier. It's been about a month now and I have no symptoms nor do I even feel like I even went through any type of surgery. All I have now is a set of 20/20 eyes I've heard so many horror stories at laser clinics, especially with a prescription like mine, it's difficult to find the right person to fix your eyes. Dr. woo had me come in for 2 or 3 consultations even before deciding on the surgery because she is just that careful, mind you all consultations are free, so they do that extra work for you for free!! They just seem to really care about the health of the patients eyes so I'm just really really grateful on how my surgery turned out. I've been thinking about getting LASIK for years now - I grew up wearing hard contacts to sleep and switched over to soft contacts a few years ago in anticipation of getting LASIK. Fast forward a few years and two consultations later, I found Dr. Rany Woo and as they say, third time's the charm! I really liked how Dr. Rany Woo and her staff made me comfortable and confident in the process. What differentiated her from other doctors was really her in depth understanding of the eye as she is a specialized eye surgeon who specializes in cataracts and different types of eye issues. She was also very caring and took the time to explain the process with me and work through my nervousness as well. What I did not like about the previous consultations I visited was that the other centers felt like LASIK farms and people were constantly in and out. I felt like this company was much more thorough and actually took the time to ensure everything was okay. This center also does day of exams to ensure that your eyes are still consistent and that nothing has changed between the two appointments. Consultation takes around 30 minutes to an hour, and you come back a few weeks later for your surgery. I ended up doing Contoura which is a newer technology where the laser hits many more points in your eyes so your vision is more vibrant and sharp. They do take some time to do your day of exams, but for the actual surgery, it was quick and painless. The whole procedure took about 10-15 minutes and there is some pressure to the eye but no pain as they use anesthetic eye drops. There is a quick burning smell (like lasering hair off type of smell) but it was towards the end and not bad at all. After that, you are able to see but you do need a driver to take you home as a precaution. I just knocked out for the rest of the day and woke up with 20/20 vision! All in all, I was very thankful to have finally found Laser Eye Center and Dr. Rany Woo. My vision is now 20/20 and it's been a life changing experience to say the least! read more

The company continues their aggressive and deceptive advertising. Customer, beware! The company will do all possible to get you to do an (unnecessary?) surgery. They wanted to do it to me. Luckily, I got a 2nd - and then 3rd opinion, - which proved that I do *not* need a surgery. To remind, this Laser Eye Center facility also falsified the results of my latest test, and gave me wrong diagnosis. They said my left eye had a cataract, when in fact it did not! (the other two clinics confirmed). In fact, during a recent visit to an ophthalmologist - I was advised *not* to have any cataract surgery, to prevent further potential problems. (Again, the Laser Eye Center blatantly lied, pressuring me to do the surgery)... Please be careful! read more
