I have been getting waxed since I was in college. I have extremely dense hair follicles and since I began waxing, I had developed extremely painful ingrown hairs in my bikini area. Lynda is honestly the best out there! She is a registered nurse who will provide you with a consultation and tell you if your hair meets the criteria for the treatments. She is not the type of person who would lie to you to make money. After the very FIRST session, I saw a big difference. I'm already on my 4th session for underarm and brazillian. For my underarms, I honestly don't have anymore hair. I used to hate shaving because after a day my hair would grow and there would be ingrowns and pimples. My skin is the type where if I shave, I break out the following day and it's painful when my hair grows back, especially in the Brazilian area. So for a while I turned to waxing but then I thought to myself, I might as well put that money towards laser and not have to deal with hair anymore. I have been here multiple times for my laser treatment. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: -She is kind -Great customer service -Works with your schedule Cons: She takes a bit longer than most places but that is because she is very thorough and wants to hit every hair follicle You end up having to deal with the pain a bit longer but you are getting your money's worth. I would however recommend getting a test patch done and if you have olive/tan skin, request the settings on the lower side during the treatments. Overall she is knowledgeable (she is a registered nurse), has delivered great results, and is nice. I know there are salons who do it for cheaper but personally one of my requirements are that the person doing it be a medical professional, so if I do get burned they know how to deal with it. Thanks to Lynda, Every time I go to her, she's really easy going when I get my brazilian laser hair removal. The prices are reasonable, and affordable at her location and I've been looking for a good place to get my laser hair removal around NY area since I am from California, I found her on Yelp based on reviews & ratings. The location is not really that hard to find, It's past Madison Square Park, couple minutes away from where I live. Lynda gives you a confirmation for your appointment a day before the actual appointment and she gives a very quick response when you want to make an appointment with her as well via text. When I arrived to her office, She will buzz you in and check in with you; when I walked into her room to get my treatment done, She immediately gets started with the hair removal and prepares you for everything you need, but she always will do her best to make you feel comfortable (i.e. ask for ice pack :) , cool gel...). The procedure of the laser hair removal takes only 15-20 minutes, and it goes by really quick; Lynda lasered down every spot that was needed to be removed which I appreciate, haha. I was able to make my next appointment with her, and she recommend that I get my next treatment within 6 to 8 weeks. I have had her laser my underarm area, and I have had smooth and hair-free underarms since I started. My experience with Lynda was the best laser experience I've had. She discussed everything with me and answered all my questions and she really made me feel comfortable. There was redness after the treatment and a little swelling but it went away after a couple of hours.The hair on my arms never grew back and it's been 3 years. I live in Queens and getting to Lynda was a bit inconvenient so I tried Laser Cosmetica because it's closer to my home and I could drive there. Unfortunately I got suckered into a 3 year deal and I'm dying for it to be finished so I can go back to Lynda. Their machines do not work and their customer service sucks. Lynda is amazing! I started getting laser hair removal treatments on my face about 7 months ago. I noticed great results even after my first treatment. I would say after my first treatment, I saw about a 50% difference in the amount of hair and thickness on my face ( I had very thick hair that would grow on my face prior to my first treatment).
