This place is the most disgusting, unprofessional, dirty, old, moldy SCAM! I purchased Groupon for laser hair removal. Not only they NEVER keep their scheduled appointment times (made me wait several times for 30 minutes while she took a walk in) but once it was my turn, their laser machine (old piece of ...) overheated and wouldn't work! It happened not once but few times. This place is a disaster with the worst customer service I have ever experienced! They keep their doors locked from the street, and when tech/receptionist is in the back with customer you end up standing outside on the street like an idiot. Don't go to this place for something as delicate as laser treatment on your skin. I had a terrible experience here and walked out before I even had the treatment. Small, shitty little place. Closed when I got there 10 minutes before my appointment. Technician shows up to me and another customer. She is rushed. Makes no eye contact, no apologies. Starts to complain about how she never makes appointments at that time because she has other responsibilities. She has her son with her and is barking at him to put the signs up. She goes back and forth with other customer about the wrong appointment time and finally looks at me and says, " what are you having done." No regard to my privacy, no politeness. Just horrible. She tells me to take a clipboard and go the back but not before she pulled her kids arm roughly and asked him to stop playing with something. That's when I walked out. Late last year, 2016, I purchased a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal sessions in RVC. I normally purchase sessions in NYC for things like this, but after moving to RVC I definitely hate the LIRR and am making an effort to patronize local businesses more often. My first session I was doubtful I would see results. I didn't think the girl I dealt with zapped me enough times and I left freaking out that I dropped 200$ to be disappointed. This wasn't the case going forward and ultimately I am satisfied with everything. The girl I dealt with for my remaining 5 sessions in 2017 was great, we had several funny and interesting conversations and she was very thorough. I don't see that they offer the Groupon right now, but if you are interested I would give them a call in case I am incorrect. Yesterday I went to a specialist and after she asked me a million questions, she realized that The owner had used a HAIR REMOVAL LASER on my tattoo!!! I'm being nice by giving two stars because of the results I did see and also for Jewel who seemed very knowledgeable and makes you feel quite comfortable which is essential during a FULL Brazilian. But when you return for another session or call for an appt it's as if she's answering from a cell phone and doesn't seem to remember you. By far the worst facial experience of my life, absolutely do not go to this spa (if you even want to call it a spa). You first walk in to a dirty digusting couch only to be led in the back to a dirty disgusting room. The facial room has no sink, which should have been the first indicator of what was to come. The products were purchased down the road at the local CVS, the "techincian" was chomping gum as she was speedily applying multiple masks to my face which in between would leave the room. What happened to getting a scalp or arm massage while trying to relax with a mask on? Well she did massage my right arm but totally ignored my left. Very clean and very nice staff. I have never gotten laser treatment before. The staff walks you through everything and even ask midway if it's ok and if you want it adjusted. They are redoing the place but it never felt messy or unclean whenever you arrive. They are very understanding if you're stuck at a light or delayed, they're always available to reach and always send you an email or text reminder. The actual service I received was acceptable, however the aesthetician was unprofessional and rude. During one visit we waited over 15 minutes for someone to even greet us while the aesthetician's teenage son (I'm guessing) slept in the receptionist's chair. We were made to wait over 1/2 hour, after she stated it was a small business so I guess I had to expect rude treatment, a long wait and unprofessionalism? I have had laser hair removal several times on different areas and have no skin sensitivity whatsoever to it. I decided to try my arms and after just moving to the area went to this laser spa in Rockville Centre. I would echo the other reviewers that the place is filthy and unprofessional. To start, when you call it is as if someone is on a cell phone and they have no clue about appointments or anything that someone answering the phone of a business should. The technician was outside smoking several times when I would arrive, then would complain the entire session about money and work. On one occasion no one was there when I arrived for my appointment and they tried to ding me for a session. However, the worst came this fall during my fifth session - the machine seemed to start overheating during my process and my skin was really burning. The technician finished the pass and I noticed red marks all over my right arm. When I commented she seemed to care less and blamed it on the air not working on the machine (another red flag to the schottiness of this business). When I got home my fiancé was shocked to see I had burn marks all over my right forearm. I now have white depigmentation scars that may never go away. I have photos that are attached and I am actually looking into a lawyer for this. Needless to say, I will never go back there and I would never recommend this place. Are you kidding me? Who lights people on fire??? I purchased a groupon for a SWEDISH massage at Laser and spa techniques in Rockville Centre, hoping to try it out. I have passed it many times and from the store front it looked nice. Boy was I wrong. When you walk in the door, it is clear this place is worse than one of these new foot spa/massage places. The front is decorated with a old, dirty couch where 2 employees were lounging when I arrived. I arrived on time however was made to wait 10m before my massage. I was brought to a room that had a make-shit, folding type, uncomfortable, massage table covered in a thin fitted sheet with a small fleece blanket. I was told to take off my clothes and put on a velcro towel. My therapist entered the room and reached into my breast area to un-velcro the towel and took it off (strange). The massage proceeded ok, but I was never asked if I had pain, problem areas or any medical conditions etc. After a light back massage, I began feeling suction on my back and realized that I was getting light cupping (I did not ask for this). The therapists cell phone rang. She ignored it but then 2 min later just left the room, I was not sure where she was, but she came back with a warm, wet washcloth. She washed the oil off my back and then began spraying me with what I soon recognized to be rubbing alcohol. I then heard a click and felt my back burning!! I jumped up and realized that she had lit the washcloth on fire and was now briskly shaking the towel to put out the fire!!! I screamed at her- asked what the heck she was doing and why, or at least why I was not warned about this. I added that it is dangerous to spray flammable liquids and light fire near people, especially near hair. She explained that this is how they relax muscles and if I did not like it should would stop. The rest of the massage proceeded with the oil, suction, cleaning (now with a wet, cold towel) then a light application of lotion. The quality of the treatment was poor and the professionalism was non-existent. As I was leaving I noticed the products that were being used were things that were likely purchased at the dollar store. As I left, my therapist was sitting on the dirty brown couch, talking on her cell phone. No one asked how my treatment was... it's a good thing I guess because I was irate! I went home, jumped in the shower and found a small first degree burn (like a sunburn) on my back and later that evening realized that I actually hurt my back jumping off the table while being lit on fire- it will all heel but I left my massage in way worse shape than I went in! Very unhappy with the treatment there. I had a 6PM appt. got there at 5:50 to be early. When I got there the place had a bad odor and the couch had 2 older kids asleep on it. I was not greeted by anyone. I stood there waiting for someone to come out. After 20 min standing I started to walk back into the salon to let someone know I was there. A little boy came out and I asked him do you work here? He said My Mom does , I said can you tell her Im here. Most uncomfortable "spa" experience of my life! Bought a living social deal for this place to get facials for myself and my mom. Had a very difficult time getting someone on the phone to book an appointment (took weeks of calling with no answer). Show up ten minutes early to this weird storefront that looks like an entrance to a house/apartment, very hard to find and wouldn't have found it if there wasn't a standee outside on the sidewalk that day with something about spa written on it. Go to open the door and it is locked! Knock for minutes and no one answers. Finally another patron opens the door for us a crack and says she's not sure if she's allowed to let us in because the employees aren't around and she was told not to open the door?!?! So she does let us in anyways (it's winter and freezing). You go in to this waiting room with the grossest (grossest might be an understatement for how stained and filthy it was) saggy old couch and we waited with the other patron. Not an employee in sight to meet us. Oh wait I forgot to mention there was a 3-4 year old boy sitting at the desk! One if the employees sons. He was trying to play some sort of game or get on a website but had no idea how to do it. I tried to ignore it but being an elementary teacher I ended up taking pity on him and helped him get on nickjr.com to play a Dora game. Essentially we ended up babysitting this kid while we are there waiting for a solid 15-20 min at least. So awkward. Finally an employee came out and we were taken for our facials which were lackluster to say the least and the only time I've been nearly choked by stream. I've been to a lot of places from living social or groupon deals that were hole in the wall small businesses and not a super fancy "professional" spa so I went into this with realistic expectations. This is the worst place I have ever been to. went here about 2 years ago for a laser treatment. The technician or owner Jewel acts like she knows everything but really doesn't. The laser machines never worked. They are cheap outdated machines that are not even used in the competition, but Jewel will tell you otherwise. I now go to another laser place and have seen real results. You pay double price on first treatment and on your last treatment your supposed to get the extra you payed back. I never got anything back. It is simply the worst place. Hard to believe its still here on long island. After reading the reviews I see nothing has changed. Buyer beware! Unfortunately this experience was a bust. I purchased a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal treatments to a small area. The person who picked up the phone when I called to make an appointment was a bit rude so I was slightly put off, but decided to go ahead anyways. When I got to the location I was surprised to see it was basically a store front with a cloth banner outside. I almost didn't go in! But I wanted to at least try. Inside wasn't much better. The receptionist is also the technician. I had to fill out some paper work which included my credit card info, that didn't make sense since I had paid for the Groupon of 6 treatments. The technician did not introduce herself, did not explain the procedure, did not give any aftercare instructions. This was my biggest issue as I've had laser hair removal before and I know sunblock on the area treated is imperative. I was dismissed in 5 minutes. I will not be returning.
