I've had had such an amazing experience at LaserAway!! Previously, I had 5 sessions of laser hair removal done in a different clinic and had zero improvement/results. I can't believe I never had this procedure done before!!! I always heard that it would be painful, that it was sooo expensive or that it doesn't get rid of everything. Its by far on the contrary. Its wayyyyy less painful then getting waxed every month. Just feels like Lil prick, not even a pinch. It is a bit pricey, but in the long run it will be less expensive because u don't have to pay for waxing. Its not a hair removal but hair reduction. It did get rid of 95% of hair. I am really happy with the procedure and would do my whole body. Only thing I would recommend is to make sure u tell them if they miss a spot. DO NOT GO HERE! I got a Groupon for laser hair removal. They were very nice on the phone when I set up the appointment. When I walked in they took me into a room, and instantly went into sales mode. I bought three treatments on Groupon , and without even asking me any questions they instantly were trying to sell me on six additional treatments. I have already had three treatments, which I told her, and told her I don't think I'm going to need the additional 6. Her only response was oh you will. Again she never looked at me, asked about my hair growth, or asked about my concerns. When I told her I was not interested in buying additional treatments, her only response was her next available appointment was 4 weeks out. I tried to get a refund on Groupon because I do not feel comfortable going here but I did not have any luck. So I will go for these three treatments but I will definitely not be going back for anything else read more

To start off they will be extremely friendly with you during your consultation. When I had an appointment set for Wednesday I went in on that day and time and the receptionist told me that that was not the day that I was supposed to be there. She said that she could see if they could scoot me into their schedule and then she told me that I could be seen at 2:30 instead of 2. Then another receptionist comes out and tells me that no I can't be seen at 2:30 because they would have to move around the schedule. It's appalling to me that a receptionist there would tell me one thing and not even check with everyone else that works there and then give me complete and horrible attitude. I needed to have 6 hairs on my chin area removed. I figured I would buy the $99 package to get the 6 hairs removed and hopefully not need a return visit until I needed it. The person at the desk was very good with a lot of good information even though she was very busy. I was disappointed with the treatment I received from the pretentious PA and certainly NOT SATISFIED with the results. The add says to call immediately if not satisfied so I did and did not get a return call or a return to my email. I pointed out the area to the PA (general chin area) where I had the 6 hairs, 3 on one side and 3 on the other. She immediately told me that one of the hairs was outside the chin area and she could not do that unless I bought that additional service. How foolish is that, one hair about an inch away. So as to not argue or put up a fuss I told her that was okay, I would just continue to pluck that hair. So now we are down to 5 hairs. She shaved me (which I didn't want to do) and proceeded to laser the chin. She said that if I felt a little sting then that meant that the laser got that hair. I was familiar with the feeling since I had previous treatments elsewhere. I felt one sting only. When complete she DID NOT give me a mirror to look in and I was on my way. When I got home I looked in my 5x mirror and 3 of the 5 hairs were still there, now little stubbles since she shaved it. These are all dark hairs and can be easily seen. So I am dissatisfied. I came in to get ride of 6 hairs and got rid of 2. I don't want to come back for 5 more visits unless I have new growth. All I want is for these 6 hairs to have been addressed. I believe that the PA (although very nice) did not attempt to individualize the situation at all and didn't even look at where the hairs were growing. She did the 1x2 area of the chin that obviously didn't reach to these 3 hairs. Today, the next day, the area that is red, where the laser was used, and did not reach the 3 hairs that I wanted removed. We are talking about 1/2 inch over. The least she could have done is look at the area on the chin that needed attention an apply the laser there. If those hairs were outside the 1x2 area she should have told me that too. So all in all, do not expect any type of personalized attention and do except a uncaring PA who may or may not know what they are doing. I am a dissatisfied customer. read more

I absolutely love laser away! I went to them a few years ago then stopped getting laser hair removal because I moved away. Now that I'm back I am now going to Laser Away again. The front desk Aimee is very sweet, helpful, and welcoming. The RN, Christine is absolutely amazing. She makes me feel so comfortable during the entire procedure. She is so fast and effective. This is a review regarding my husband's tattoo removal over the past year and a half. Pros: The tattoo is being removed. Everyone who works there is really nice. Cons: *He was originally quoted one package with 6 treatments to get rid of the tattoo, and after the 6th treatment he was told he'd have to buy another package because the first one did not get ride of the tattoo. *They charge you $50 for a missed appointment for being late, which is a completely understandable policy but the receptionist never answers the phone! It's really hard to get a hold of anyone there to cancel or reschedule. They don't answer, and then call you back with one ring and hang up. It's really odd, and this has happened multiple times over the duration of the treatment that it's been noticeable. It's phone tag every time. *They'll send you text notifications of your appointment that tell you to text yes to confirm, or no to cancel, but they don't get your response anyway. You have to call to cancel because they'll have you on the roster anyway and charge you for missing your appointment. ***To be fair, they did reverse our $50 charges the couple times it happened, but I'd rather be able to talk to someone in the office to cancel when I call during business hours, or have their text message notification system work so that we didn't have to call a bunch of times to get a voicemail back that they acknowledged our request. Over the course of a year and a half, it's turning out to be a much bigger hassle than we bargained for. *They're frequently behind schedule and run late. You get charged if you're late but you don't get anything back if they're behind schedule 30 minutes. read more

The staff and customer service are great. The laser technicians are professional and try their best to make you comfortable. I've HEARD of people getting great results from them - but I've also had my own experience. The procedure isn't really painful at all. Maybe a little uncomfortable here and there. (And I think I have low pain tolerance). Bummer though - I've had 7 treatments in one area already with no results. Actually I think the problem of hair has gotten worse. I'm not sure if it wasn't in a good part of my growth cycle or what the problem is. I still have more sessions but I'm skeptical. read more

I bought a 6 session laser hair removal treatment from Groupon to use at the Carlsbad location. The procedure was helpful, but the staff does not seem like they are top of things. I once got a reminder phone call at 9:30pm the night before. Also, on what I thought was my last session and I asked, I was told by the Nurse Practitioner that she only counted 5 sessions so I had one more. The day before my last session they called and said I had already used up my last session and I'd need to buy more. They just don't seem to know what they're doing at any point in time. read more
