NOTING Aesthetically Pleasing about this place!!! I had 3 BBL Laser treatments at this Med Spa performed by NP Sydney. My skin is rosacea prone so BBL when done correctly is very helpful. Unfortunately during the first treatment my face was burned and I ended up with deep purple bruises and blisters. I had to stay home for a week until the blisters subsided. My face became more red than before the treatment. I was told that the next two sessions would give me the expected results, but they did not. My face became very sensitive and the redness didn't go away. I noticed deeper broken capillaries in the areas where I was burned. When I expressed my concerns Sydney simply shook her head and said: "there is always a risk". My risk was in her hands. Her job was to assess my skin type, select the appropriate filters and correctly adjust the laser's energy setting, but she is either inexperienced or incapable. After contacting Sydney again I got a call from the owner, Stacy Grissen and she set up an appointment for me to come to see her the fallowing week.The day of the appointment Stacy called me and with an aggressive tone of voice informed me that she was cancelling our meeting, (BTW if I cancelled an appointment the same day they would charge a fee). She said that I snapped my fingers in front of Sydney's face, which is a complete lie... and btw why wait a week to cancel an appointment? I guess she decided to be offensive rather than being concerned that her employee did damage to my face.The way she treated me is inappropriate and dishonest. I am writing this to warn anyone who is thinking of using this business : go there at your own peril. There is no place for a business like this in our beautiful community of Encinitas. read more

I'm a 50yr old mom in Encinitas, who has visited multiple med spas. :) Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this spa. I went in for Botox and left with an immediate bruise, which turned into an enormous black eye the next day. Now, I've had slight bruising before, which I assume isn't uncommon, but this looked like I'd been in a boxing match. And it took over 2 weeks to go away. I understand mistakes happen, but the part that was the most disappointing, is that when I reached out to the owner, she took no responsibility, didn't offer any compensation and basically blamed me for the results. I am not someone who typically complains, and I've never left a negative review for anyone, but I was so shocked by the terrible customer service and complete disregard for my situation, that I felt others should know. read more

Nurse practitioner and owner Stacy takes very good care of me. She listens to my goals and collaborates with me to create a treatment plan. Then she explains what she's doing. I'm not worried about asking her questions, because she answers them thoughtfully. I can tell she wants me to understand the procedures. I've been told by strangers that I look younger than my age (52 this year). And when I don't wear makeup, I feel confident. That's the most important thing to consider when choosing a nurse practitioner to do injections and fillers or other services, in my opinion: When the treatments take effect, do they make you feel more confident? I waited a few months to write this review in hopes that my opinion would change or results would improve. I got Botox and lip filler at this location. It was my first time receiving Lip Filler and I had been getting Botox at a different location. For the Botox, I felt like they were pushing extra amounts than I usually get and it DEFINITELY resulted in my face feeling too frozen and my eyebrows looking weighed down. Recently, I went back to the location I used to go to which made me realize how over injected I was at AP (or the placement was just poor and resulted in weighed down eyebrows) For the Lip Filler, I would definitely not go to this location. They were running a really good special which I pre purchased. When I got the actual filler, they injected me with something different and tried charging me. I made very clear to the front desk girl when I arrived that I pre purchased my filler and this just was a headache to argue with them about after getting lip filler when I was in pain. Now that all the swelling has gone down, I have a very apparent shadow/mustache effect since the filler is too high on my lip which looks totally unnatural. I'm definitely not happy with the results but don't want to go through the pain of dissolving filler. Additionally, the front desk girl was super rude so that was just the icing on the cake. read more

Came in for my resting bitch face. Yes I said it! Apparently I look angry at times when I'm just chilling. I was seen by Stacy who went over my health issues and explained everything thoroughly. She iced the areas on my forehead that give me my angry look and the botox shots were less painful. I had minimum pain and no discomfort/discoloration post treatment. I did get $20 off from Brilliant Distinctions. It was slightly pricier than my doctor in Beverly Hills but this is close by and definitely less painful. They do have other services here as well. I'll probably check out other services here over time. I loved that they are paperless and I filled out the paperwork directly on the computer.
