Unfortunately, this was an experience I would never want to repeat. The first issue began before I even entered the office. The GPS directions were inaccurate and confusing, making the location unnecessarily difficult to find. After driving around longer than expected, I finally located the suite. Starting an appointment already frustrated from poor directions set a negative tone. Once inside, I checked in for my scheduled appointment but was told I would need to wait because another client had arrived late. While I understand delays happen, it added to the inconvenience after the difficulty locating the office. Thankfully, that session was brief and I was taken in shortly after. I went into the treatment room hopeful for a productive session. My tattoo removal specialist was Jessica, who introduced herself as a nurse. When I sat down, she instructed me that I only needed to ice my neck for a couple of seconds because I had applied numbing cream. This immediately concerned me. In my previous sessions, I typically ice for 3 to 5 minutes, sometimes at least 2 to 3 minutes, to properly prepare my skin for the laser. Following her instruction, I iced the left side of my neck for approximately 5 to 10 seconds. This was far less than I am used to and did not feel sufficient. When the laser treatment began, I expected discomfort, as tattoo removal is never painless. However, within 20 to 40 seconds on the first section of the tattoo, the pain became significantly more intense than any session I had previously experienced. Jessica continued working on that same small section on the left side of my neck for what felt like an extended period. I normally receive treatments in Brea with a specialist named Kaylyn. My sessions there are typically efficient, precise, and much quicker. While Jessica was lasering, I calmly asked if she was almost finished with that section because it was extremely painful and taking much longer than I was accustomed to. She explained that the laser quality and the level of my session could make it more painful and that she needed to do her job thoroughly. Even so, that one small section took approximately two minutes to complete. With Kaylyn in Brea, that same section normally takes around 30 seconds. The extended duration made the pain far more intense and difficult to tolerate. At that point, I made the decision to stop. I respectfully told Jessica, "Thank you, but no thank you," and informed her I did not wish to continue the session. I remained calm and professional. I then walked to the front desk and requested to reschedule or transfer my treatment to the Brea location. I was told they had already contacted Brea and that I could continue treatment there. Before leaving the building, I personally called Kaylyn to explain what had occurred. I also gave him credit for the quality and efficiency of his previous work on my neck. I explained that my experience in Chino Hills was far more painful than normal and that my neck already appeared more irritated than usual, possibly due to insufficient icing beforehand. During that call, I shared my perspective respectfully. However, I felt that my feedback was met with defensiveness. At one point, it was suggested that I had raised my voice. That was inaccurate. I did not yell at anyone in Chino Hills or on the phone. I remained composed and expressed my concerns calmly. I clarified that while others may perform differently, my experience that day was extremely painful and not acceptable to me as a customer. I also stated that I would be canceling my upcoming April 4 appointment at the Chino Hills location because I did not feel comfortable returning. I then requested the manager's contact information. I was given the name Frasier and left a detailed voicemail outlining the entire situation, from the navigation issues, to the minimal icing instruction, to the prolonged and painful laser session, and finally the response I received when expressing concern. Overall, this visit was deeply disappointing. From inaccurate directions to inadequate preparation and an unusually painful session, I left feeling physically irritated and emotionally frustrated. While others may have different experiences, mine was overwhelmingly negative. For this visit, I would rate my experience 1 out of 5 stars. I will not be returning to the Chino Hills location.

I recently had an Erbium laser with Ashley whom was professional and knowledgable. The best part is the numbing because I didnt feel one bit of the laser. She also suggested PRP which is supposed to help with healing and my skin peeled off by the 3rd day. By day 4, my skin was good as new. Easy, fast results, and now I'm ready to go to my event tomorrow. I would easily do this again. My skin feels like new. Ready for my next session!

Back in February I found JT Aesthetics through a Google search after loving the results of a CO2 laser treatment I'd had in 2025 at a different medspa. I used to go to a medspa in Yorba Linda for facials, botox, & treatments but since I now work in the IE, driving back out to OC wasn't practical anymore. So I searched for medspas in the Corona/Eastvale area that offered CO2 laser, messaged JT Aesthetics on Instagram, and one of the owners, Tina, confirmed they did. I booked a consultation and a treatment for that following Thursday. At my consultation, i met with an Ashley who is their esthetician. She recommended a plan: 3 CO2 treatments ($3,500, discounted from $4,500), 3 chemical peels ($1,200), and a Rejuran add-on ($900) -- total $5,600. I declined the peels, but Ashley pushed for at least one facial after my first treatment ($400, "discounted" from $500). I've had plenty of facials and knew that was steep, but she insisted it would really benefit my skin, so I gave in. I ended up spending $4,800. The treatment itself, done by a nurse also named Ashley, went smoothly, and she made me feel comfortable. But that night, I reflected on the appointment & noted differences from my 2025 CO2 treatment; less sting, a much faster tempo, and no eye protection. I texted them the next day asking if I'd actually received CO2. They didn't respond until I followed up again, and when they did, they confirmed I'd received Erbium YAG instead, framing it as just a "more gentle and precise" resurfacing laser rather than acknowledging it wasn't what I'd paid for or consented to. I was upset, but decided to give them a chance and continue, since I did like the results & had already invested so much money. At my facial, Ashley did a decent job, but it didn't feel like a high-end facial, she played music on her phone & the wipes she used on my face after certain steps felt rough and smelly, almost like paper towels (I'm used to soft sponges). Afterward, she pushed hard to sell me two more facials for "just $600," approved by her manager, then a basic facial for $250 after I declined that too. It was clear their focus was on the next sale. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and dreaded coming in for my next laser appointment Two weeks later, at my second Erbium YAG treatment (still being called "CO2"), I met with Jennifer, the other co owner, she offered a $600 VAMP add-on, which I declined , she then sent Ashley(esthetician) in to pitch it again after I'd already said no, I declined a second time. While prepping me, Jennifer mentioned putting on eye protection "even though this laser is super gentle," which reminded me they'd never actually addressed my earlier question. I didn't push it in the moment, but I photographed the machine and looked it up that night. That's when I learned eye protection isn't just necessary for this laser, skipping it is illegal. At that point, I knew I was done with JT Aesthetics. I requested a refund for the unused portion of my treatment plan ($1,166.67), and they made it difficult; insisting on a refund protocol that required me to come in person, even after I explained I wasn't comfortable returning and that CareCredit allows remote refunds. When they finally agreed, they sent me a settlement agreement to sign first, waiving my right to leave a negative review or pursue any claims over injury, which felt especially unacceptable given I'd been treated without eye protection at all. I refused to sign and filed a dispute through CareCredit instead, this time for $1,750 (the unused portion plus half of the first treatment). JT refunded me directly once the claim was opened for the $1,166 amount, and that case closed. Since then, I've gone back to my old medspa in Yorba Linda to continue actual CO2 laser treatments. It's a longer drive, but it's worth it to be somewhere I feel safe and where I trust they're actually looking out for my skin, not just the next upsell. Bottom line: This felt very transaction-first, not patient-first, like I was a walking dollar sign, not someone they were invested in helping. I'd steer clear.

I told her that the doctor said it's fine and she said "Well it's not, don't let it happen again" huh? Ok weirdo, not listening to you. But other than that they are great. Sometimes they run behind because they have a lead Dermatologist onsite who does actual medically necessary procedures in office. You can't rush those things. The staff at Serene are so welcoming and so so sooo sweet. I have thick Asian hair that grows fast. I used to have to shave twice a day. My hair would grow back within hours. Going to music festivals and the beach was such a nightmare since I'd feel insecure of my hair growing back even after shaving. I saw improvements after my first session only. I went from shaving daily to BIWEEKLY! Even after 2 weeks there wasn't even much to shave. I am so happy with my decision to get laser at Serene. On top of laser they do offer other services such as Keloid shots. I had a bad infection on my shoulder earlier this year which resulted in a keloid scar on my shoulder that bothered me. For $80 per shot I was surprised with my results in just one session too! My scar is now significantly more flat by at least 60%. Irene is so knowledgable and fun to talk to. She always makes sure I feel safe and comfortable and overall just makes me visits even better.
