I have been to three other laser hair removal places, and I have to say that this was my best experience yet. First off, this was the first time I did not have to use numbing cream. Even without the cream I felt very, very minimal discomfort! I was truly surprised. My nurse was a nurse practitioner (my mom was a NP and I have a high regard for them). She was very professional, and a sweetheart. The customer service was very good as well. I bought a complete series for both Brazilian and underarm laser hair removal. Awful. They mess up appointments, won't have them in the system. I now take a photo of the computer screen when they book the appointment so I have proof I scheduled. Staff is rude. They say whatever they need to in order to get you to buy a package. Black Tattoo removal has taken over 4 years and 25+ sessions. I was told I would only need 8 session when I started. Staff won't unlock the door if your 5 minutes early and standing in the rain. I'm going to finish my packages and never go back. Such trash. read more

So disappointed! I read a few of the negative reviews below and just realized that they mirror my own opinion of this place. First, the receptionist is the worst and she definitely parallels all the negative aspects of this establishment. Unfortunately you have to go through her for scheduling and pricing. I bought the Groupon for the hair removal and when I called to make an appointment I was told that the non-Groupon customers get priority scheduling. Obviously a turn-off from the beginning. Once I began my treatment I was quoted a price to continue. I confirmed with the receptionist and came back four weeks later. She tried to charge me triple the amount for one session. That was even more than the package she quoted me. The equipment is comparable, the nurses are pretty nice and that's the only good things I can say about this place. The vibe from the get go is negative. I've been to plenty of other businesses that know how to conduct a stellar experience and I hope you do the research to find a better place. I had googled several tattoo removal clinics and found Lazer Away, I called, and the secretary was so nice and kind. I have a little tattoo of a star on my face and I was sort of embarrassed, but when I walked in all the girls there treated me very good. They are very professional and are very understanding. I have received 2 treatments to remove that tattoo and it is almost gone!!. the nurse was very gentle and swift, I felt completely safe and secure during the process. I made an appointment and was in and out within minutes. The clinic is also located in a nice little neighborhood next to a boutique, pilates gym, cafe, & salon. I cannot express my frustration towards this particular laser away. Both times I tried to schedule an appointment they messed it up. I have a busy schedule and I cannot wait 30- an hour every time they mess up my appointment. It is clear this particular location has terrible customer service, service, and a blatant disrespect of their customers time. They were all over the place on this one. Dakota is amazing! She has the best bed side manner! I was there for a laser facial that I purchased through Groupon. She took the time to make sure that I was comfortable before we started the procedure. Afterwards, instead of booting me out the door (!!!), she spent several minutes blowing cold air on my face to soothe it. Then, she put a cold moisturising mask on my face and let me relax for several more minutes. She is the best!!!! When you go, be sure to ask for her!! read more

She was rude, condescending and when I said I had to think about it (because I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible), she was in disbelief that I would turn down this wonderful opportunity and that I should just 'go for it'. When I said that I didn't want or need the 18 month interest free financing, she said, 'Oh, so you don't have any money to put down?' No, actually I have money, but I would NEVER spend it there. I never had laser resurfacing done before and was really nervous. The minute I walked into this office all of the staff made me and my husband feel at home. The entire process for the two of us was maybe an hour between the numbing cream, treatment and cool off afterwards. I am so happy with the results and cannot wait to see what happens after the next two treatments. I am so excited about how fantastic my skin is going to look in a month. In short: Don't LaserAway, Stay Away!! Do not go here unless you wish to pay thousands of dollars only to be dissatisfied in the end. They will charge you for a limited number of sessions whereas, other places include lifetime sessions so you can keep going back without getting charged. They will charge you an arm and a leg each and every time you would like to be numb whereas, all other places include numbing. They don't care if you are dying with pain. I've heard many people screaming at the top of their lungs while they were being treated. And while you're hearing all of this in the waiting room, the staff will have the nerve to try and have a conversation with you at that very moment just to distract you from what is really going on. Absolutely horrifying. Further, they will rush you through your appointment and skip many spots. Why? Because they want you to come back again, pay a couple thousand dollars for the spots that they INTENTIONALLY missed. Don't be fooled. They will take advantage of you. read more

I had a horrible experience at this location. I was burned and the nurse didn't even offer any hydrocortisone or any sunscreen to apply. Additionally, she rushed through the whole process. What's insane is that I just got out of a treatment, and the receptionist was in such a rush in selling more packages. Isn't that something that we as patients can only determine after 4-6 weeks of hair growth? We pay money to these companies for what? They sweet talk you into buying packages in the beginning and the instant the transaction is approved, they don't give a shit about what happens afterwards. read more

I am giving them a 1 star because they would not tell me how much it costs for laser hair removal over the phone. They simply said that I need to come in for a consultation. I just wanted a touch-up and they can't tell me how much it is to laser pits? Not going to take time to drive there, then be sold a package when I know I need one session. Going elsewhere. Most places tell you how much it costs for small, med or lg areas. They you decide if you want to keep doing it until you get the results you want. Although the staff is exceptionally friendly and pleasant I am very displeased with my laser tattoo removal thus far. I had 4 sessions at a previous location prior to me moving to LA and discovered Laser Away upon arrival. Each time (at the previous place) I would complete a session I would notice a significant difference in the lightening of the tattoo. However, I've completed my second session here at Laser Away and it looks exactly how it did before my first session at Laser Away. I explain to the nurse on my second visit that I wasn't pleased with the results and she said since last time was my first time they had to start the laser low, also she said some people have to go up to 20 sessions. My tattoo is about 4 inches wide and in black ink only there is no way I would need 20 sessions for removal. I completely wasted my money here and the really had me sold in the 3 sessions for $110 deal. I can believe that other services here are good which is why I gave two stars. Otherwise, I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed with my tattoo removal here. read more

I researched the type of laser technology, the price and the number of treatments the different places offer and found this place to be the best. I personally like the Sherman Oaks store. The salesperson is knowledgable, answers all of my questions and more. Once I started hair removal, I decided to get my lips done (Juvederm) and of course botox. I really wanted to like it here. I signed up for a package deal to have my legs and underarms lasered. First of all, they almost NEVER have availability because they have signed up too many people for their "package deal" programs and don't have enough business hours/room/available techs to handle it all. The major downside to that is you have to get laser hair removal done within 6 weeks of the last appointment for max effectiveness so if you go too long your not really getting the most out of your treatments. The girls that work here are nice but they will all try to upsell you expensive side products even if you say that you don't want them or never expressed interest. I wish I had just gone somewhere else that could actually take appointments and not make me wait sometimes up to 2 months for the next one but I was stuck in a package deal with no refund. Go somewhere else, save yourself the hassle unless they change their practice! read more

I love laser away! I Started going there a few years ago with a Groupon deal. They also offer additional discounts for return customers. Before I found them I almost went with American Laser Center and the price was outrageous and used car salesmanny! I ended up at my tried and true dermatology office instead. I loved my doc there but Laser Away was a little more affordable and definitely more comfortable because they have a cooling jet that goes over each area as it lasers. I have very sensitive fair skin and soon found I didn't need the cortisone cream after, like I did at the Derm. All the ladies working the front have been super accommodating and friendly when I need to change my appt. or when I called to say I was on my way but stuck in traffic. The nurses who do the procedures have also been really great and thorough. I had my bikini area treated and I am so happy with the lasting results! I sent one of my friends to them and she has become addicted getting bikini, upper lip, armpits, and now legs done. Just remember that it's important to communicate to the nurses about stubborn spots or medicine you might be taking. Also do your research before hand and understand that your results can vary depending on skin types and that hormones can effect hair regrowth especially in sensitive areas. read more

First I want to start by saying that the staff at this location is totally awsome. Its always a pleasure to come in for an appointment. They make you feel very welcome and assure you that you will be taken care of. They try to understand your needs and help out as best as possible. Lazer away also offers great deals for any kind of package you are looking for. The hair removal treatments last a while and some places are easier to get rid of then others. The nurse always makes you feel like there is hope and nothing to worry about cause she will do what it takes to get rid of every stubborn hair. Its a calm and nice environment. I went there for over a year and had my bikini and underarms done. I thought it worked great , however, 6 months after my last treatment, 90% of all the hair came back. After doing research with 4 other people who had laser done, they ALL had the same experience. laser is not permanent hair removal. Even the FDA does not let them say it is, it is permanent hair reduction, AND THE PERCENTAGE OF REDUCTION IS SMALL!!! Dont waste your money. And dont let anyone from ANY hair laser place tell you differently. Research it online and see for yourself. read more
