After having to reschedule my touch-up a couple of times (Yunhee was very patient!) I had my touch-up a couple of weeks ago and have received so many compliments! I HAD very long curly hair in a "U" shape (so I felt confident she could cut curly hair). I went into specific detail that I wanted to cut 4-5 inches of dead hair off but keep as much length as I could and the same style (U- shape), with long bangs for when I straighten it. I had pictures, and we talked about a plan for about 10 minutes before she started cutting. The first cut was a straight cut at my shoulders. She didn't keep the shape or length; she just chopped 12+ inches off like it was nothing. Once she realized she messed up, she tried to cut the top half of my hair longer to hide her mistake and then straightened my hair with a curling iron like it was 1995 still. Two weeks later after hating the way my hair looked I booked an appointment at another salon and the guy there fixed my botched hair and even mentioned he could see her first cut and how she tried to cover it up. Never go here if you're on a long hair journey. I am forced to start over. In fact, just avoid this salon if you can.

I have been getting my lashes done for three years consistently. Moving to Newport from LA, I was concerned I would be able to find a salon that could do as good of a job as my former long time lash lady on the west coast. Upon entering the salon you will be welcomed and then sit down with the owner for a minute to look at the different lengths, types and curls of eyelashes. Then you will pick out your desired shape and will be shown pictures if needed. Then you are taken back to the application area which is simply a massage table. Take off your shoes lay down and get comfortable under a blanket, close your eyes and drift off for an hour of sleep while the jeyelash owner works her magic. Yes, the owner does the lashes herself! Once lashes are applied, you are handed a bottle of water and sprayed with a refreshing face spray for setting and hydration. The salon is quiet and very zen music plays overhead...think spa. All of the tools are opened in front of you, many minutes are spent prepping your own lashes and examining the last set of extensions to remove the ones that are too grown out. Each time I go for my fill I am blown away by what a great job is done and how relaxing the process is. I give Jeyelash 4 out of 5 ONLY BECAUSE of the price! I was not expecting to pay Beverly Hills lash extension prices here and I think many clients who might be open to trying extensions would be turned away from the cost of service.

I got there as quick as I possibly could and was exactly 15 minutes late and apologizing. Monica was extremely hostile towards me immediately, scolding me for using the website incorrectly. When her next client walked in, who was also late, Monica started complaining that I used the website incorrectly to her right in front of me. and, when I reiterated that I was nervous about having my eyebrows to thin (I don't usually get my eyebrows done) She angrily scolded me "you already said that." As a teenager, I've never been spoken to like that from an adult I just met and I'm very surprised that she would address a client that way. The eyebrows looked great, but I'm very disappointed with how the exchange went.
