Not sure why they are rated so highly... I just moved to Dallas from Austin in July and thought I'd give this place a shot (4 times to be exact). I've been getting lash extensions for the past 2 years now and wow did I downgrade by going here. Firstly, I tried 3 different lash artists here and not one did half a decent job as my previous lash tech did. My appointments were never on time and at that they NEVER took the amount of time as needed/paid for and cut my appointment short while doing a crappy job at it (45 mins at most). I gave them the exact lash measurements that my previous lash tech used on me and they did not follow it. Also when removing my extensions during fills the process was painful! Below is a picture of my lashes after my 1 week fill. I was visiting my previous lash tech in Austin and she was so upset that they left me like this and fixed me up right away removing all their work and starting from scratch!! She said it looked like they used premade fans that were clustered and they weren't even a D curl like I had asked! I am an executive, an adjunct college professor and a mother to 4 kids, so I am especially conscious of my time and certainly have none to waste. I recommend Lash iCandy to anyone who wants to know they are in safe hands and valued as a client! (Don't we all?) Of course after researching lashes for years, I was afraid of the horror stories I had read. I finally just decided that I need to look more polished and avoid the inevitable smudge I get from mascara. I really dug deep and researched for weeks. The first thing that struck me was the fact that consistently over the years, Lash.i.candy has had a solid track record of great reviews, so I thought I'd give them a try. I was impressed by the fact that the owner, Jill, herself called me (I booked with Brittany) to walk me through the risks of lashes since I was a "first timer" for last extensions. I was going to be traveling to Italy and France and really wanted to have something that lasted, looked good and did not give me sensitivity. I have had lasik surgery so my eyes are particularly sensitive. The result was amazing! I can't stress enough what a difference these Russian lashes have made to my look! I received so many compliments from strangers and friends alike because of my lashes and it really boosted my self-confidence. The techs actually make the clusters by hand! I was pretty amazed at the artistry involved in this process and the fact that the lashes are not mink was really important to me as well. They are partially made of silk and I appreciate that they really have a gorgeous curl and hold it for always What I mostly appreciate is how respectful these techs are of people's time! I have never had to wait and value the fact that these ladies especially have a strong work ethic. In spite of a tornado in the area the night before, a 7am appointment was honored. I have visited this lash studio at various times of the day and can honestly say that this is the way they do things. I have never seen customers kept waiting or rushed out the door - and it's been busy! I love my lashes, and to keep them on point, I do 2 weekly fills because I am very active and rub my eyes. The adhesive they use is efficient (I wash my face every single day, twice a day, religiously) and the adhesive is also gentle at the same time. The lashes hardly tangle or clump and they really are a "get up and go" low maintenance product that is always on point. I got my eyelashes done here for the very first time last week. While I know everyone is different and different people have different reactions to eyelash extensions... I don't think mine were applied properly. They were painful when I closed my eyes and my left eyeball was red for a couple days. I ended up picking all of them off within two days because I was in so much discomfort. Although they specialize in lash extensions, I was in the area and saw that they also do brow tinting. I've always been curious about tinting because my brow hairs grow thinner in some areas and I always have to fill them in. I have reservations about anything permanent on my face but Jill was very assuring that she can darken my hairs without them looking unnatural. She was very careful to not tint them too long so that I can control how dark I would like them. I am very happy with the results and will be sure to come back for a touch up and try her lash extensions! read more

I've been having my lashes done by Jill for over 4 years now. I've gone every two weeks since I started. If Jill is out of town or booked up, I have seen Brittany also. What I LOVE is consistency, cost and conversation!!! No matter who does them at Lash.i.Candy, they always look perfect and I've never had someone ask if they were extensions. The cost is competitive with other salons. And, I LOVE everyone who works there! I will not let anyone else touch my lashes. Prior to finding Jill at Lash.i.Candy, I had some absolutely terrible experiences trying to find someone to do as good of a job as they do. They care about your appearance as much as you do since you are basically a walking business card for them. I was definitely skeptical at first because I do believe this process is very delicate and can go completely wrong. I was referred to Isabel by a co-worker last year. I love her hand work!. I ended up in the ER because of this place. Brittany had very poor customer service, and was very unprofessional. My eyes were stinging and glued together after the service. Against my better judgment I decided to give this place another try, after my eyes healed. I called to make an appointment, and when Brittany found out I wanted to see someone else instead of her, she sent me nasty text messages on my phone in all CAPS, at all hours of the day, and told me not to come back. I really wanted to give this place another shot. I get some lash artists are much more skilled than others, but decent customer service should be a non-negotiable. So unprofessional. Always late. If you're the first appointment on Saturday you will most certainly be delayed if not totally canceled due to yet another "emergency." My lashes never looked good for more than a few days, and other places use significantly less glue with better results. I'm stunned that this place has such a high rating. If you take care of your lashes and go to someone who knows what they are doing (anyone at lash i candy), you will be happy. The girls there are great and well trained . . . I moved to Dallas a year ago from California and I sadly had to leave behind my fabulous and talented lash girl. I am picky picky picky. Since moving here I have found a couple of talented people that do lashes but for one reason or another they weren't dependable or consistent. It has been incredibly frustrating and a total bummer to deal with. I went to Google AGAIN for some help... in particular Yelp.... I thoroughly exhausted my lash resources in Uptown Dallas where I live so I decided to expand my travel distance a bit. Just beyond Uptown, and conveniently right off the tollway, I found Lash.i.Candy. Brittany (and Jill) received some really great reviews and to my joy and relief, they provided an online booking system! I booked with Brittany for the very next day... a luxury I haven't had since leaving Cali. The little boutique suite was in a high rise with easy and ample parking. Brittany was super sweet and adorable and asked me what I LIKE in terms of length and thickness and also what my past "lash" experience had been. I came in with lashes that were falling out by the clump so Brittany said she would do all she could with the time booked and we agreed that a fuller fill might be a way to catch up the next time I booked with her. As she did my fill, I noticed that she concentrated on the "outer" lashes just as I had asked her to so that a cat eye lift would be the result. Second, most glue tends to sting my eyes but hers didn't. I never mind as my eyes are sensitive but this was a treat indeed. Here's the best part. When Brittany finished I had that elated feeling of having my "lashes back". They looked really good. Then I went home and throughout my normal routine of washing my face, applying/removing makeup, etc. I noticed how absolutely AMAZING they looked!! I wear glasses to see up close so I really couldn't see what a great job she did until I had my specs on! They are fabulous! Long and thick in the right spots and staying on perfect! I can't even imagine getting them fuller as at this point, they look incredible. This morning I even almost forgot to put my eyeliner on because my eyes look so awesome with my lashes! Lash Candy made me fall in love with lash extensions for the first time and I have had it done with 4 different companies. After growing my lashes to get them healthy again, I decided to take my time when booking with another company. Everything I hated about lash extensions, Isabella changed my perception and I am pretty anal. With every single lash extension, the tape irritates my skin, the glue makes my lids itch and swell and the lashes feel heavy. Also when the technicians placed my lashes on, it was like they were all over my face with their hands. Isabella was the complete opposite. She used her tools differently from everyone else, she was quick, the glue did not cause a reaction for me, the lashes feel light (I forget I have them on) and she was quick and professional. I love the mascara look. I don't have to put makeup on at all. I said I would only get them once, but already booked my next appointment! This company seriously made me realize not all lash extension companies are created equal. This was definitely the best lash experience I have had. read more
