I got a Groupon for $70, called on Sunday and got an appointment for the next day at 3pm. Got there at 2:40pm and was told that I was not scheduled but the lady on the front desk got me in as scheduled. She was very friendly and helpful, I think her name was Ingrid. My eyelash tech was Tina, she made me feel very comfortable and took a lot of time on my eyelashes. I paid an extra $20 for mink lashes. During my session, my left eye was feeling irritated but it wasn't so bad. After the session, my eye was so red but it wasn't bothering me until the next day. Right now my left eye feels so painful to a point where it's giving me a headache. My right eye feels and looks okay though. I'm not sure what it is but I didn't experience this the 1st time I had my lashes done. I'm going to the ophthalmologist tomorrow to see what's up... Update: Tracy called me last night to check up on my eye. She recommended to take some Benadryl but it didn't help so I went ahead & saw the ophthalmologist this morning. The doctor confirmed that I have a corneal abrasion. I have to put antibiotic eye drops on my eye for 5 days. I spent $55 all in all for the doctor's visit and eye drops. I have tried many places over time due my need for lashes ( many lost during chemo). Those places were not as accommodating to my schedule,very unfriendly and the lashes did not last long! LASH STUDIO, is a quaint relaxing, clean place and I have to say all the techs there are marvellous. I live in Austin and yes I drive down to them. I tried 2 places up here...nope...back to Houston and LASH STUDIO. They are professional, love that they wear masks and dont engage in conversation unless you, start. Since then, I've changed lash girls to Amy who gives me the longer lashes I want.... My coworker actually asked me if I was wearing falsies (Mission Accomplished) !! Don't waste your time here. This place has poor service and doesn't honor their own deal or promotions. I recently bought on Yelp a voucher for 250 dollars at Lash Studio. I uploaded a picture of my voucher to show that this is a voucher for any service at Lash Studio but not products. It does not specify what service I would use my 250 voucher on. I went in for a refill package that is $230 for 5 refills. They would not take my voucher for that, instead they wanted to use it only for a full set of lashes (which I already had done by them 3 weeks ago). I let them see that it doesn't state that on the voucher. They argued with me for almost an hour, wouldn't let me speak to a manager and told me maybe the voucher is wrong and to just get my money back. I want to point one more thing out. On this voucher it specifically states to the owner that they must honor according to the terms of the voucher. Which they didn't. Its not the customers fault the Owner didn't specify a deal they advertised. On another note two women before me were upset with them because Lash Studio wasn't giving one lady the 10% discount from the refer a friend promotion they hold. I got my lashes done on a Saturday and they were not done correctly (very thin and not full looking) so I called on Sunday to do a touch up and was given an apt for Monday. Well later on that day when I realized I worked Monday I tried to call back to reschedule but only got their voicemail so I decided to call early Monday morning. Well That Monday morning I called before they opened and decided to leave a voicemail saying that I couldn't come because of wrk. Well when I called later on that same day. during normal business hours, they said I couldn't do a touch up anymore since I didn't come to my original touch up apt that day (Monday) wtf?! Traveling from CA and came here for a fill. Was charged $25 deposit for the appointment which is fine and then was told it would be $60 for the fill. Got to my apt with classics on my lashes. They took it upon themselves to put on volumes and then charge me $85 when I got out. If you don't want the same thing to happen to you, I'm warning you now: close this review, hug your favorite mascara close, and don't look back. Because once you see how full and beautiful these babies look (not to mention how much time they shave off of your daily make-up routine!), natural lashes just won't cut it anymore. Wanting a set of full, natural-looking, no-fuss lashes for my wedding day, I decided to try out Lash Studio and get lash extensions for the first time ever. As Tiffany W. pointed out, it wouldn't hurt to inquire about new client specials or check for Groupon deals. Scheduling an appointment over the phone was easy - I've read before that there have been issues with them only accepting a printed Groupon voucher, but you don't have to worry about that if you give them your Groupon voucher number over the phone like I did. If it's your first time, the technician will show you all the different types (synthetic, synthetic mink, real mink) and lengths of lashes that they have. I decided to go with 10mm Synthetic Mink lashes: 10-11mm adds nice length and volume without looking unnatural, plus synthetic mink is cheaper than real mink, but still just as light and feathery. After that, just lay back and let the technician get to work. The procedure can last up to an hour, but it's actually a very relaxing experience. Lots of people end up falling asleep - the snoring gets annoying, but it says a lot about how gentle and soothing this can be. My technician, Kim, was nice, soft-spoken, and gentle, but she neglected to tell me to wipe off my eye make-up before she got started - which would have been nice since you can't get your lashes wet for 24hrs. Thanks a bunch, Kim. [insert annoyed side-eye] So anyway, disclaimer: COME BARE-FACED AND ALREADY SHOWERED. After the procedure is over, the technician will have you open your eyes and make any last minute quick fixes, then send you off on your merry way. I didn't get any heat from reception to sign up for packages, which I really appreciated. I'll be back. Ain't gotta tell me twice. As for my lash life, it's been exactly 4 weeks and, while I still have a few lashes hanging on for dear life, I know I'm probably due for a refill. Mind you, my lashes went through a lot within their first few days -shower within 24hrs of application, heavy make-up duty, heavier make-up removing duty, and tons of happy wedding tears- so they definitely held up well. And like I said before, now that I've seen how beautiful eyelash extensions are and how much EASIER they make my life (no time for eye make-up? Once you get lash extensions, you won't go back. Okay, maybe you might but I'm not. I've been going for over two years and I love them! My friends ask if my lashes are thinner or if I lose a lot of my real lashes after getting extensions. Personally I don't think so, but if I do, they do a great job at making my lashes look like they have a ton of volume every time. My go to girls are Lucy and Vivian. Lucy is careful and she can create exactly what I want. Vivian knows what she's doing, and she can be faster than some I've noticed. I always have such an enjoyable experience every time I go. They really know what customer service is. You can even text them to set up an appointment and they will remind you by text two days before. Lash Studio is great! I have been coming here on and off for the past few years. I have had different techincians throughout the years but most recently I have been getting Hannah and Vivian consistently for my appointments. Both do an awesome job! I do notice that Hannah always asks how I'd like my lashes done for refills which is nice. Whereas Vivian goes straight to work on my lashes but does an amazing job each time. For my next refill appointment, I think I will see if they can make my lashes even more full. They have package deals for the refills which is cheaper. Terrible customer service and work. I absolutely loved going here for my lashes but after my lash visit I will never go again and would advise anyone reading this to do the same. I had a service with Tina about 1 month ago, which she seemed to rush thru bc her next client was waiting. I had to return the next day for her to finish up, strike one. Now, as they are falling out I am able to see how much of a botched job she did. COMING OUT IN CLUMPS. I have no lashes now. Plus, my eyelids are swollen and irritated, not sure why. I paid extra for mink bc I like the fact they are lighter, but she attached 4-6 mink lashes to my lashes. So that complete defeats the purpose. I got my lashes done specifically for my two week trip to Thailand so I wouldn't have to worry about wearing so much makeup. They held up quite well with my gentle and proper maintenance. I went snorkeling and I was in the hot sun a lot. They even looked great after wearing a sleeping mask on the very long airplane ride. I was very nervous when I first got there because the lady doing my lashes didn't speak English very well so I had a hard time understanding the different sizes and lengths. However, she was very sweet and did a great job and was very gentle when applying the lashes. I even fell asleep! I'm writing this review with great disappointment. I've been going to Lash Studio off and on for about two years. Hannah has always been my stylist. Let me preface by saying I understand mistakes can be made. Just own it and fix it. I recently went for refill about two weeks ago. At the time everything seemed normal. A couple days later I realized my lashes were falling out more than usual. I didn't think anything of it right away. Fast forward to the two week mark and my lashes look atrocious. It looked like I hadn't received my refill in four weeks. The amount of lashes that I lost was about 90%. I contacted last studio and questioned them about the glue and if they had received any other complaints. I've been getting my lashes done for approximately four years and I have a love-hate relationship with the eyelash glue. Every time I get my lashes done I immediately before and after I have to put Visine in my eyes because the of the glue. My eyes are always red and slightly irritated. Following my last appointment with Hannah my eyes were not red, nor were they irritated. When I called the salon to address this issue the young lady told me my lashes were falling out because of the weather. Like I mentioned earlier I have been getting my lashes done for four years. In the four years I have never had this issue. In the four years I have never heard of this. I was willing to come in and have the issue fixed but I didn't want to pay because expired/ineffective products had been used. The point of frustration for me was no one tried to fix the situation. No one offered for me to come in and get a discount on my refill. No one tried to do anything. I typically only get my eyelashes refilled once a month. So coming in again after my two week appointment is so USUAL for me. Why should I pay again because bad products were used?? After nothing was done I decided to remove my lashes with olive oil and this is what I was left with. I was left with eyelash nubs. That's right nuns. read more

I have been coming to lash studio since the first location. I have been going to Trinh for years and love her and her work. Everything was great until today. I had an appointment this morning with Trinh that I had booked 3 weeks ago when I came for a refill. I usually do it every 2 weeks but because i am leaving in a few days to my Mexico trip. I decided to do it right before I leave. First off, when I arrived and checked-In they told me Trinh no longer work there anymore. Mind you, I had this appointment 3 weeks. As a business, they should have the courtesy to call to notify clients before their appointment. Not just tell them when they show up. In my situation, I had no choice because I am leaving for my trip. So Hannah took me. Since she is new to me...i had to tell her what I usually get. Mink, volume and length 9, 10,11. So end result was not as great as Trinh's work. I wasn't as full as Trinh did them. But it still look nice. So it was $55 For the 3 weeks refill. Left and went to work. Then I got a missed call and a text from lash studio saying the technician did a 3D refill, so it will be $25 extra on top of what I had paid and if they could take out out my card on file. So I called back, asked them why I need to pay another $25. Front desk explain that volume and 3D are the same thing, that's why......never did HANNAH explained that and I never did 3D ever with Trinh. Me being a nail technician understands customer service is very important. That is definitely lacking here. No calls was made to notify clients that she no longer work there, miscommunication on what was told to be done and what was actually done. Is like going to a nail shop and you tell a nail technician how you want your nails and they nodded and say ok but do not do as you ask.....i loved this place. I didn't go anywhere else but they have just lost a loyal customer. And I will no longer refers any of my clients there anymore. In our industry CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING. read more
