I was told that you would fix the issue, but a refund was not offered, even though I was left without lashes for my nephew's wedding. I believe this demonstrates that your company does not stand by its product or by the workmanship of its staff. And don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to going into the office regularly again, I'm just not looking forward to having to bother with eyeliner again. So, I decided to splurge and get eyeliner permanently tattooed. After doing some research, JPMU seemed to have reasonable prices, good experience, good facilities, and good reviews, so I booked a session with Julia. I'd never had a tattoo before so I don't know how it would compare to a tattoo elsewhere. They numb your eyelids first, but as it slowly wears off it does hurt a little, and it's obviously not PLEASANT having a needle buzzing so close to your eyes. Still, the first appointment took under 2 hours, and then a touch-up between 1-2 months later was shorter, and the ink should last for 3-5 years although they recommend checking in after a year or so since individual experience varies. Your eyelids will be puffy and a bit sore for the next couple of days but it's no worse than how they feel sore after a good cry. I had the tattoos on Tuesday late afternoon and my eye lids were still a bit puffy for the next 3-4 days, but the boyfriend actually didn't notice anything unusual when he saw me Thursday night (maybe this says more about my boyfriend than anything else, but ... clearly not THAT noticeable). Mind you, he still hasn't noticed that tattoos either... Anyway the eyeliner looks great, understated but basically how I'd apply it for a normal day at work and I don't have to do anything but add a little mascara if I feel like it. Would recommend bringing some photos of your eyeliner the way you want it to look, or looking through the photos on their site to find one that looks like what you want.

I took the plunge and got eyelash extensions from Bizou today. I really had no idea what the…read moreprocess was, how long it would take, anything. But I went in with an open mind, hoping simply to get gorgeous lashes by the end of it. The studio is really nice and clean, with fancy mirrors everywhere and a pretty table where you sit down with your lash stylist. Although I never actually learned her name, my girl was nice, and went through all of the information with me before heading over to the bed. That sounds really odd, but you lie down on a bed-type-sofa for the extensions. Ladies, if you wear contact lenses like me, don't wear them to the appointment. The process starts with the stylist taping your eyes nearly shut, and holy heck, were mine ever watering. I was really glad I decided to wear my glasses today. The first ten minutes or so are uncomfortable. Not painful, but very uncomfortable. I pushed through it, and eventually it was totally fine. I barely even noticed the tape after a while. The rest of the hour went by pretty quickly, all things considered. You can't see anything, you can just feel the stylist gently attaching the lashes on top of your own. I really had no idea what time it was or how close we were to being done, but it was over before I expected. The music helped the time go by quickly, although they really need to update their tunes. (Dido and Whitney Houston? I'll take Katy Perry and Britney Spears, please.) Overall, the experience was a little weird, but it didn't hurt a bit, which was my one biggest fear. And, I now have gorgeous, dark, long curly lashes that I'm simply in love with! A full set will run you close to $100 (cash only), and you're expected to get fillers three weeks later for another $60. While I'm happy with my first experience, I can't say yet with certainty that it will be worth it to go back and spend so much more. I suppose only three weeks time will tell!

I had a pedicure and my daughter had a manicure. Both were alright, but I would not call this place the best pedicure in town. My feet still had quite a few rough patches and my daughter's nails had jagged parts where she had to fix it herself. Also, my daughter's nails were not soaked before the manicure began (not very good practice). If you want a quick job that is reminiscent of the cheaper salons where you go in and out and the cost is reasonable, then this is the place for you, but if you are looking for relaxation, a fantastic job done, well...try another place.
