Thank you Kaori for giving me the perfect lashes! 1. Super friendly and informative 2. Price is average compared to other places, but the service and quality they provide is top notch! $110 for full set (but it comes with 80 lashes) 3. Kaori made sure each and every lashes is placed right before letting you go. 4. Time didn't take that long. I had to remove my previous lashes so it took two hours total. I went to a lash extension place in Hermosa Beach called Lash Makeover Etc and it was horrible. She was not only late, but my lashes took three hours to be placed because the lady there used really sticky patches under my eye which caused it to water and get irritated, but Lashtopia uses high quality patches and it doesn't hurt when they take it off. I bought Groupon deal for full eyelash extension first. I had eyelash extension once but I didn't really appreciated it at that time. Before my trip to Japan, I did it at Lashtopia. First couple days I felt so uncomfortable about the glue gets my eyes when I took shower or sweat but soon I felt ok. I liked the way my eyes look of course. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try it again but I got lots of compliment from my friends so I liked the extension more. I tried it again yesterday and this time Tiffany suggested to use mild glue so my eyes don't get sensitive. Today I feel super comfy! Thanks Tiffany! I didn't put 5 stars because the first time and second time I got an appointment for Maria and I got Tiffany and I have to wait 30 min on my second appointment. If I didn't have time, I will be in trouble and also why I specifically made an appointment for particular person there? I got feeling Maria does for more regular customers and newer person like Tiffany does first timers or groupon customers(I know some of Groupon customers are cheap, LOL). I had no idea that there was an eyelash extension salon in PV! Lashtopia is located in a little plaza near Lunada-- definitely a hidden gem. JiYon did my eyelashes today, and I absolutely love them! She was very gentle, and I barely felt anything during the time she was gluing on the lashes. The whole procedure took around 75 minutes, but it was very relaxing. I've been coming to lashtopia every 2-3 weeks for almost 4 months now and ALWAYS have great results. Ella was my go-to stylist but since she left I've been seeing Kaori and the quality is consistent. I have short, fine lashes and ask for classic, fuller, cat-eye lashes as they open up my almond shaped eyes more. I've had their volume lashes as well for special occasions which I loved. The silk lashes they use are soft and weightless. They are perfectly noticeable and flirty and never leave my eyes looking extra fake or plastic, which I experienced before at Amazing Lash (Huntington Beach). Love the staff! Super welcoming and they make you feel right at home. First time I tried the mink lashes but I should have listened to Tiffany when she recommended the silk lashes. Lol! So with that said, go to Tiffany she knows what she's doing! Love love this place! Wow! I drove straight home to write this review. I have never had lash extensions and was excited to find a Groupon for extensions at a salon 2 minutes from my home. I arrived at 10:00 for my appointment and was greeted by a young Asian woman. I am only adding Asian because I don't know her name and I hope she reads this review about herself. When I arrived she didn't start out very friendly. That was OK, just wanted a good job. She explained that my full set was not really a full set of long lashes and that to get a real full set I would have to come back for refills.i did not quite understand since I bought a full set. Oh well, I told her to go ahead and do it. While on the table with my eyes closed her co worker came in and she loudly said: I told you I did not want you to book any Groupon people with me. I was rather taken back by that comment since it was a direct insult to me.i always looked at Groupons as a way to grow your business and for someone to try something new. When she finished with my eyelashes, I tipped her and told her I thought that was rude that she said she didn't want Groupon people in front of me. I suggested that in the future she should wait until a person is gone before she makes a comments like that. Her response to me was that a full set costs over a hundred dollars and I had paid only 60 plus dollars. My response back was "isn't this what a Groupon is for, to grow your business and have clients come back" I will never return, terrible customer service. My lashes only lasted a week. This place had such great reviews that I felt confident in going here but turns out it was a waste of time and money. I needed my lashes done for my best friends wedding and so I gave Lashtopia a try. I used to do lashes so I know to avoid steam and all products with oil. They looked gorgeous when I first had them applied but that evening they were already falling off. I did not have volume lashes applied, yet there were many lashes that had 2 and 3 lashes applied to one lash. Having that many lashes applied to one lash is a big no no since it is too heavy for the lash and will make your own lashes hurt and fall out; which the lashes did over the course of the week. By the wedding day, I only had 6 lashes on my left eye and 4 on my right eye. I ended up having to use strip lashes since the lashes looked so bad. read more

Very unhappy with Lashtopia after being a loyal customer. I was happy to pay above market costs and deal with some scheduling disorganization to support local business in PV. After several months of returning for full sets and fills, I was turned away from an appointment. I had made this appointment online (two weeks out) and on the way to my 9:30am fill, I received a call from Lashtopia (at 9:25am) saying I had missed my appointment. I know I had booked it online for 9:30am and assured the gal I would be there in a few minutes. I was notified they would not be able to see me and I had to reschedule. I had an event to attend this evening and had been counting on this, especially because it is so hard to get an appointment here and everything needs to be booked way in advance as the staff seems very scarce. When I had reiterated that I had booked for 9:30am, the gal corrected me and said I had booked with her directly for this time, which I never do as I always need to double check with my schedule at home. She had also told me I had an appointment in four days as well (makes no sense). I expressed that the online booking system must be having issues. Furthermore,even if she really had thought my appointment was at 9am, why is she calling me at 9:30am to tell me this? That kind of follow-up call should be made 10 minutes into the appointment if it's a no show. During my last visit, I had to wait 45 minutes past my appointment and was completely understanding and patient. Why couldn't they reciprocate the same accommodation for an error on their end? As a new mom of a three month old, you can imagine how difficult it is for me to get out of the house at 9am and the importance of keeping to a schedule. Time really is precious for me at the moment and I was so disappointed to not have my 30-45min worth of pampering in prep for the evening. There is an over-saturation of lash extension businesses and unfortunately customer loyalty is not important to Lashtopia. If it were, they would shape up their scheduling disorganization and accommodate a customer when the error was on their end. Sorry, Lashtopia, I will not be back. read more

Hello Maria, Indeed we did speak about the possibility of my absence for a month. However I returned back March 17th, which would make it almost 3weeks after my lashes were first done. I in fact called that week, that Saturday and the following week until you had availability. I think it would be in your benefit to discuss the cost PRIOR to your customers arrival (possibly when making the appointment), versus telling them after driving there under the impression that you don't have to because it was already paid for. Therefore there are no 'surprise fees' when someone arrives.
