Excellent! My daughter went here for Lasik vision correction. The entire staff was so caring & amazing. You feel like your the only & most important patient they have. Dr. McCurry was incredible! My daughter is so happy & so am I. We could not have asked for a better outcome or experience. I highly recommend this office.

After the procedure! Dr. Alban is amazing!

I am from Colorado Springs and my story is that I had radial keratotomy when I was 24. I am now 66…read more My corneas had several cuts, sixteen on the right and eight on the left. I had cataracts and I've been wearing uncomfortable and expensive sclera lenses for years with dry eyes. My vision was cloudy and it was difficult to drive at night. I have very poor night vision with halos. My vision fluctuated within months causing the sclera lenses to be very expensive. To make matters worse, I needed to have my cataracts removed as to not go totally blind. I'm an esthetician and had to retire because of my vision. When I went to have my eyes corrected, I was very disappointed in the lack of skill in Colorado Springs of the doctors. I talked with two surgeons. One did not have the equipment to measure my eyes. The other was able to measure them but offered only limited help stating I would still need glasses and sclera lenses. To say the least, I wasn't willing to settle for that! My husband and I prayed that we would find the right specialist to help my situation, and boy did we ever get our prayers answered! We found Dr Alun Gulani with Gulani Vision in Jacksonville, Florida online. I had a consultation with Dr. Gulani. He put me at ease and told me that my case was super complicated with my astigmatism , cuts, etc. But he was willing and able to help me. What a God-send that we discovered in Jacksonville, Florida! Dr. Gulani is competent, passionate, and probably one of the most, if not the most knowledgeable ophthalmologist in the world. At the same time, he is humble and kind. My first eye was done in May and my second eye was done in June. Although Dr. Gulini rarely uses stitches, he put one stich in my new lens in my first eye to anchor it. He removed it a month later just before the second eye surgery. My eye instantly saw things much clearer. In fact, I cried on the way back to where we were staying as I could easily see the road signs! I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Gilani and his truly loving and passionate staff. Bottomline is you cannot put a price tag on your eyesight. Shine your light. I cannot wait see the results of my second surgery. I am now truly one of the Gulani family!

My experience with Dr. Gulani (TLDR version: Did not help my vision, dishonest, all hype, STEER…read moreCLEAR!) I try to avoid writing negative reviews, but I feel that the Gulani "hype" needs to be exposed to help save others from falling for it like I did. My history before visiting Dr. Gulani: I got RK in the '90s, 16 cuts in each eye. Left eye not so bad (20/30). Right eye was worse (20/50); I had been wearing a scleral lens for the last 10 years. It was great (easily 20/20) but as I got older, it was no longer correcting my vision enough, so I wanted to visit Dr. Gulani with the goal of not having to wear contacts or reading glasses. During the consultation, he promised me, "you'll be able to read and see far without glasses or lenses." I got the LaZrPlastique in the right eye in January 2026. My biggest worry was that it wouldn't correct my vision enough and I'd still need to get a new scleral to see clearly. Wow, was I wrong on multiple fronts. First off, my vision actually GOT WORSE after Dr. Gulani's surgery (20/100). If you're an RK patient, you know about multiple images--sit in a dark room with a single LED about 10 feet away (such as the red LED on a TV that's off). An RK patient will see a pattern of multiple LEDs due to the irregular astigmatism. Well, that pattern got LARGER (spread out more), not smaller, after LaZrPlastique. In simple terms, I now have "double vision." In technical terms, my astigmatism went from 2.4 D to 2.9 D as measured by an Oculus Pentacam. Second, perhaps the more disturbing aspect, is Dr. Gulani's response regarding astigmatism. I mentioned the Pentacam map and my multiple images and he basically shouted that I'm stupid, that "topography isn't vision...refraction is vision!" Well, guess what? He destroyed my topography and now I can't see! Refraction means nothing if you're seeing multiple of everything. I don't think he understands how important topography is (duh, why do you think scleral lenses work so well for us?). Third, he flat-out lied to me and said, "you're the only patient that has had this complaint." Any fool can read reviews and find numerous instances of similar results, and those reviews basically follow the same path--poor results, Dr. Gulani denies it, he tells them to just "wait for it to heal." I'm not stupid; I know it's healed, and I'm not going to waste ten years waiting to see if it heals more. And if you carefully study the Yelp reviews, you'll notice this swarm of invalidated positive reviews in bunched-up timeframes...faked, forced, or both? To be fair, the staff were all really nice and it's quite the experience the whole week you're there. But looking back, it seems like more of a big circus. "Well, that procedure is normally this price, but for you it's lower." How gimmicky is that? Dr. Gulani is so pompous, it'll make you vomit...the office is a shrine to his ego. He goes on and on about he's the only one who can do what he does, making a big show of "did my Canada patient land yet?" I think it's all in his head; his sense of self-importance is so inflated and I don't know if he's capable of admitting failure. I'm not going to sue him; I knew it was a gamble going in. I just didn't think the "best in the world" could possibly do such a bad job. I'm guessing his true success rate is much lower than the hype would lead you to believe. I'm sure Dr. Gulani has helped many people. I think if you have very low astigmatism (less than 0.5 D) but need a major refraction adjustment (let's say you're 20/200), Dr. Gulani might be able to take you down to 20/40. But because he's only doing PRK and not TG-PRK, he can't clear up your irregular astigmatism. Oh, and he called my local eye doctor a buffoon for writing "patient went to Florida to have surgery by a doctor who claims he can fix RK." Yeah. Real professional. I wish I got paid $20,000 a day and wasn't accountable for the results.

This time in 2020 was even longer since they had to dilate my eyes (didn't tell me in advance). They don't accept vision insurance so I had to pay for the whole visit (I have high deductible medical insurance). I did have a medical issue so that was ok, just fyi. The dilation cost an extra $50 (which I was not told at the time). I actually didn't want it, but the aide said the doctor wouldn't see me if I didn't. I had to go back to work and didn't want blurry vision. It's not that they used the high-tech machine which I know costs more. The cost was $185 in all. As a patient it's hard breathe when you have a mask on and your face pushed into the machine. The front desk worker at the window didn't have a mask on, but patient were required to wear one. I think she later put one on when I came back to the window. The Dr is very nice and I think she's a good doctor but not worth waiting that long There were three office workers and you'd think they'd plan longer appointment times for patients, since she takes so long. I'll find a new ophthalmologist next time.

Michelle Murray was incredible--she guided me through every step of the process, answered all of my questions with patience and compassion, and gave me hope when other doctors had turned me away or failed to show the same level of care and understanding. Her kindness, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference for me. Dr. Michelle Diaz, who performed my LASIK procedure, was equally amazing. She was professional, reassuring, and highly skilled, making me feel completely confident and at ease on surgery day. The procedure itself was quick, smooth, and much easier than I expected. Because of the outstanding care I received from both Michelle Murray and Dr. Diaz, I will absolutely be recommending Atlantic Eye to my family--not only for LASIK, but also for regular eye care appointments as well. It is rare to find a team that combines expertise with genuine compassion, and Atlantic Eye has truly earned my trust and my family's future business.

Dr. Kimberly Reardon(great doctor) was my doctor, but she does not do the surgery that I needed. So, I had to switch to Dr. Freidl. She is wonderful! She did two surgeries at the same time on my left eye first and then two weeks later, the other eye. I no longer have to wear glasses. First time since the 6th grade! I got the "Mono" lenses. You see up close with one lens and far away with the other. If I had my choice to do it all over again, I would choose lenses to distance only. I feel "MONO" lenses confuses my eyes(& brain)! It was a choice I wanted to make, so I have to live with it. I had Glaucoma(i had it done 5 years ago too)and Cataract surgeries. Insurance does not pay for the lenses(unless your on Medicare). I paid about $6000.00 for the lenses and for the surgery center fees. That bites! My re-checks went well. I am pretty content now. I am GLAD WE CAUGHT IT EARLY.
