Had lasik about 7 or 8 years ago here. About a year or so after I started to notice my vision was no longer 20/20 again. Time went by and I went back to LASIK plus and they checked my eyes and vision. They were unable to perform lasik because of my cornea was too thin. So they performed PRK on me. Thinking this would work out for the long haul, I dealt with the horrific pain. A few years later, here I am and cannot see shit again. Wasted so much time and money. I've gone to my eye doctor and tried to get fitted for contacts. I was unable to due to my cornea being now flat from the two surgeries. I was never warned on this being a possibility. My eye doctor attempted to have me fitted for hybrid lenses (both hard and soft) still cannot wear them. It's impractical for me to wear glasses because of my job. 2/8/20 I had laser vision correction here 11 years ago or so with Dr Shah. I had a scratched cornea and it got infected from extended wear contact lenses. My eye dr kept encouraging me to look into it. He told me I should no longer be wearing extended wear contacts (the kind you can sleep in) This was the BEST thing I've ever done for myself. I had put it off for years beecause I was terrified. The consultation is 90 minutes and very comprehensive. I scheduled my surgery soon after. I had PRK. My understanding is that PRK is done through the eye. (No flaps) I remember going in for surgery and at that time there was a huge television showing surgeries. The dr called me in, put numbing drops in my eyes and a little rubbery ring in my eye to hold it open. Then he did my other eye. It was miraculous! I was sunny side up on the table seeing the blurry orange lights that came Into sharp focus. It was so incredible! Spiritual for SURE! I recall several follow ups and no discomfort. I had to wear sunglasses and do an eye drop regimen. It was easy and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. At the time of correction my vision was 20/15. Through age I have lost a slight bit of sharpness. So now using glasses for driving and distance. When I purchased my service I purchased lifetime enhancements. I'm still considering looking into this. My experience with Lasik Plus was stressful, frustrating, and a terrible experience overall. The surgery was not successful. Lasik Plus completely dismissed my concerns and refused to stand by their service. I am sharing this experience in the hopes of preventing others from enduring the horror that I did. If you are in the market for corrective eye surgery, please research thoroughly (I incorrectly thought I had), ask questions and follow your instincts. Find a doctor and a surgery center that will stand behind their work and that cares about their patients rather than the bottom line. That place is NOT Lasik Plus. On August 15, 2019, the surgeon at Lasik Plus performed PRK on my right eye. I have had the Lasik procedure before (1996), so I knew what to expect and what my vision should be at the conclusion of the procedure. Unfortunately, my vision was not corrected. I returned to Lasik Plus for all of my follow up appointments and each time my concerns and distress were brushed off with "it hasn't been long enough to tell if it worked, you'll be fine," "your eyes are dry, use more drops," "your eyes aren't dry, but second surgeries don't heal as well as the first," etc. The excuses were endless. It is extremely frustrating when you pay a significant price for a procedure, you know what to expect, and yet you are dismissed as if you do not matter at all. This facility and its staff refuse to accept responsibility for their failure. I was not going to give up so I kept pushing for a favorable resolution. After many months of disappointment and dismissals, the doctor FINALLY agreed to redo the procedure. As soon as it was possible (due to Covid), we scheduled the second procedure. Alas, the vicious cycle began again. The second procedure failed as well. Again, my follow up appointments were filled with the same excuses, "not long enough," "too dry," "not dry...." After much persistence, I was able to have the surgeon himself examine my eyes (this was the first time he examined me, to this point, his only contact with me was in surgery). He decided that it was not his fault that the procedure was unsuccessful, but that it was a cataract causing the problem. Interestingly, his full-time practice focuses on cataract care. So, I went to a cataract specialist (of my choosing), paid another exam fee for that, only to be told that I did not have a cataract preventing the procedure from correcting my vision. That doctor put a contact in my eye (which cleared my vision) and he determined that if it would be fixed with a contact, it should be able to be fixed surgically. This doctor also noted that when PRK does not last over a long time, it is unusual for the vision to deviate to the degree that mine had. He felt that the doctors at Lasik Plus should have seen that as a red flag and examined a little closer to determine the cause rather that jumping into the procedure. Throughout the duration of my experience with Lasik Plus, approximately a two-year time period, Lasik Plus had three different doctors in their employ which is alarming and had I known that they were not able to keep a doctor for more than a brief period, I would never have gone there for the procedure. None of the doctors gave a consistent answer or diagnosis. It was extremely disconcerting. None offered any hope or solution toward a resolution. Once the second surgery failed and the cataract specialist confirmed that I had no other issues that would cause the surgery to fail, I requested a refund. After many follow up calls and discussions with the current doctor, who played mediator with the corporate office, as I was not permitted to speak directly with them, they rejected my request. Lasik Plus claimed they had done nothing wrong, and I got a surgery. I disagree. My 1996 surgeries were completely successful and there was no reason that I should not have the same result as before and this procedure should fail. read more

Everyone here was so nice, knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. I was a little nervous going into the procedure and unsure of the outcome but they reassured me the whole way through. The procedure was quick and easy, the doctor was fantastic, he walked me through every step and he made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole thing. Waste of time...I scheduled a "virtual consult" 3pm 12/10/21. I would have rather done this in person, as I'm not quite confident in the quality of a consultion to correct my vision without a doctor physically examining my eyes. I didn't see an option to schedule an in person exam on their website. Maybe it's there & hidden - not sure. Virtual consultion is much easier for them as a provider, as they can give you the sales pitch without actually having to examine your eyes or risk scheduling someone and they no show. I'm assuming they show up for the consult if business is slow & maybe so/maybe not if they don't need your dollars at the moment. Good for them, but it's a waste of my time as a patient who's ready to spend his earned money to have this procedure done ASAP. Anyway, I downloaded the Zoom app (which I don't want), filled out extensive screening forms, got ready, set up my tablet, gathered up my contact lens boxes, and chased the cats out of my office. I clicked the link to "join meeting" at 3pm & nothing. Nada. Nobody there. I know it was correctly done because it said waiting for meeting leader & the name was LASIK something or other. Gave it 5 mins & bailed. I guess this is how it just is now with covid. Everything is "virtual" which to me sounds more like a sales pitch than a consultation - since there is no eye exam involved & maybe not even a physician (don't know about that - never got that far). I bet they get a lot of people who schedule these virtual consults & don't show up - so maybe they don't take it very seriously. So why have them? Likely because they don't value their patient's time & it's no time risk for them. These are not the people I want working on my eyes with lasers. I will tell you their appointment reminder software is working well, as I received at least 4 emails & 4 text messages within 2 days (3 day of) reminding me of this appointment. They really want *you* to show up. I work in healthcare as a provider and I can tell you everywhere is not like this. IMHO this is extremely unprofessional. There are enough eye doctors performing this procedure succesfully, I'll spend my money elsewhere. After this I made an appointment for a consult with another provider and guess what? This has been an amazing experience for me. I never really wanted to get Lasik done but because I had to, I searched around and found this center. From the first call to the procedure, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Now, I have read in some reviews, those that rated this place poorly, that the reviews didn't like how the clinic talked about pricing plans and discounts and such. It is true that they're upfront about it but I'm glad they've explained the options because though I have eye-care insurance, this procedure isn't covered. So I'm appreciative that they were willing to give me some discounts to help make this more affordable. Now, post surgery, I did exactly what they said to do and the day after surgery, I'm not in any pain and I can already see the difference. All in all, I don't care for surgery of any kind but I'm glad I went through with this one and more importantly, I'm glad I used Lasik Plus PS if you choose to use this facility, you don't need to buy the artificial tears. I highly recommend this office if you're considering lasik. They don't push you to do anything, they answer every question you have. I asked everything I could before getting it done. The staff was extremely nice and all the tests are extremely easy going. With that said I got my surgery done two days after the consultation due to receiving a discount. Surgery day. I was getting nervous but the staff calms you down so much. IF YOURE ABOUT TO GO FOR SURGERY STOP READING AND TRUST ME THERES NO PAIN JUST A LITTLE BURNING ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER. Sleep it off. But if you want to know roughly what it feels like, they prop your eyes open which is the uncomfortable part of the process, the rest you're just staring at the little light they tell you to stare at. And I kid you not 2 total mins per eye (including them switching lasers) and the surgery is done. You walk out with cloudy vision but it comes back with in a couple hours. If you nap after you'll likely wake up with almost perfect vision again. Next day follow up appointment My eyes were tested not even a full 24 hours after surgery and I now have 20/15 vision! It's incredible! Remember to not touch your eyes after and lube your eyes up until they are healed! You get a little dry and it can be annoying if you're not used to using contacts! My PRK Experience! I walked into my consultation appointment expecting to get Lasik, but I was not a candidate due to my thin corneas. PRK uses the same laser technology as Lasik, but instead of cutting a thin flap in the cornea, the top layer of the cornea (epithelium) is gently removed. Lasik has a short healing time (days) whereas PRK has a longer healing time (weeks-months) because that epithelial layer of the cornea has to regrow. I had the surgery done in September 2019 and my last scheduled followup, 4 weeks later...the RESULTS? 20/20 on my right eye and 20/25 on my left eye! They said that it would take 2-6 weeks for my vision to stabilize and up to 6 months for 20/20 vision, but I personally had a quicker healing time! One thing that I REGRET not doing is asking for some anxiety medications before the surgery. I honestly didn't think I would need it, but lying on that bed and having your eye fixed to the machine was pretty nerve wrecking. But hindsight is always 20/20! Overall, I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend for those seeking a life changing opportunity! read more

Staff was friendly during evaluation & stated I was a good candidate for LASIK. However, they recommended I go to another LasikPlus location where there were surgeons that would do LASIK with my eye situation. Being suspicious of being recommended to a different office, I got a 2nd consult and was told I would be a very poor candidate for LASIK or any other type of laser surgery due to my very thin cornea & high prescription. POOR QUALITY OF CARE- I had an appointment with LasikPlus Vision Center and arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment only to find nobody at the center. I waited until after the opening time of the center before I called the 1 800 customer service line. They too were unable to locate anyone at the center and advised me to call to reschedule because "they didn't know what was going on." When I was speaking with the corporate customer service supervisor I had to remind him several time that I am the patient as he tried to explain operational difficulties. I explained to him I received 3 calls from Saturday night though Sunday night confirming my morning appointment and how could nobody be at the center. I did receive a VMX 20 minutes after I left the center from the center administrator with an apology for nobody being at the center. She commented they didn't realize they had a patient appointment that morning until 9:20 when I received the call back. My major concern is it appears their standard of care is to open the front door and if the patient shows up, they must forward the patient to the exam/procedure room. How does a medical practice not know their patient responsibilities for providing care? Would any responsible person have confidence in the quality of care provided from a facility that doesn't know their patient workload or have a protocol in place to ensure the facility is open according to their hours of operation. We are not talking about one person not be available or the doctor not available, we are talking about nobody was available at the facility. Not even a receptionist. The thought of having someone perform any surgery on your eyes is terrifying! I needed glasses and contacts my whole life. At 57 I decided to go for it! So glad I did! The staff is awesome and both Drs Russell and Shah were so kind and I couldn't have asked for a more reassuring group of people. The original consultation was very thorough and on the day of surgery, it was repeated to make sure everything was accurate. The procedure itself was quick and painless. Recovery afterwards minimal. On the 40 minute ride home the numbing drops started wearing off. My eyes were tearing a lot and I felt a slight stinging. More like the feeling of a sneeze coming on but no sneeze to relieve the feeling. Also experienced an intense itching feeling behind my eyes. I swear my teeth itched!! Lol. But that subsided very quickly. I took their advice and went home to sleep. When I awoke, I felt nothing. My vision was near perfect sans a little haziness. I had a fantastic experience at LasikPlus. I went to the Lawrenceville, NJ location for my consultation. They performed a series of exams on me, I filled out paperwork where they ask questions about my night vision, eye dryness, etc., and they determined that I was a perfect candidate for the lasik, which I already figured because I was told this by my regular eye doctor. I decided to go to the King of Prussia location for the lasik surgery being that they were able to get me in the following Friday with a Saturday post op appointment. This allowed me to have the entire weekend to rest before going back to work. The staff at both locations were very friendly and helpful. When I got to the King of Prussia office, the staff were so upbeat and had a great sense of humor which eased my nerves. I was told to expect to be there about two to three hours, and I was there about three. It felt quicker than that though because I had to check in and go for a few other eye exams prior to the procedure. The staff was great with answering any questions I had. Honestly, the worst part was the test they ran to check how well my eyes produced tears -- no joke! Shortly after the eye doctor told me that I could take the Valium, I was called back. Literally minutes later. I don't even think the Valium had time to kick in, but at that point I think my nerves were geared more towards excitement. Every person I saw that came out of the procedure before me had a smile on their faces. That helped with the nerves too. I was taken to another room where a bunch of drops were put in my eyes and then Dr. Shah came in to answer any questions I had and to check my eyes one final time. Then I was taken into the procedure room. The one assistant assured me that they would walk me through everything and to just relax. I laid back and the assistant poured a bunch of drops in my eye. Then the doctor put this round piece over one eye and informed me that my vision would slowly go dark, which it did. The only thing I felt l was a slight bit of pressure from when they inserted the round piece on my eye which held my eye in place. It wasn't bad at all. I was told to focus on the green light. The machine buzzed for about five seconds and then the doctor put the round piece over my other eye and repeated that procedure. I assume this was the laser making the incision to make the flap. Then the assistant helped me over to another chair and I lied down on it. The doctor used a tiny clamp to keep my eye open -- which I didn't feel AT ALL -- and then I focused on another green light. The weirdest part about this part was when Dr. Shah pulled my eye flap back because everything went sort of dark for a brief second. The machine buzzed for about ten seconds (I counted) and then he put the flap back, and he repeated the procedure on my other eye. It was all over in a flash. I then sat up and Dr. Shah asked me to walk over to another machine so he could take a closer look at my eye flaps. I told him everything was blurry and he said everything would be for most of the day. He said everything looked great and I put my sunglasses on, and my fiancée and I left. The doctor told me to sleep for about 4-5 hours. I slept for 5 1/2. As soon as I got in the car I shut my eyes. My fiancée led me into the house with my eyes closed and put me to bed. My eyes leaked A LOT. When I woke up it was difficult to open my eyes at first. It was like that crusty feeling you get in your eyes when you oversleep. When I opened my eyes I was amazed. It was still a little blurry but I was able to make out the time on my oven from far away and I was able to see things with so much more clarity than I even expected. At 7pm, I ate dinner and around 9pm I went to bed for the rest of the night. The next morning -- this morning -- everything was so clear. I felt like bursting out into song and signing Aladdin's "A Whole New World"! I'm on my way to my post op appointment right now, and I just HAD to write this review. This is the best decision I ever made. My fiancée, who is extremely stingy when it comes to money, even agreed that this is a great investment up front, and we will end up saving a lot of money down the road. Shannon at the front desk and Marquis (pronounced marquee if you ever meet him) is fantastic at guiding you through the process and assisting you in your Lasik journey. The actual surgery was extremely fast and easy, with minimal discomfort during and only some slight pain afterward that went away after a few hours. Waking up the next morning was wonderful! I went into lasik plus because I was recommended by a work friend. The staff seems very nice and they informed me with everything that will happen during and after the procedure. I did not meet the surgeon before hand though, which kind of threw me off. My surgery is this Friday and I am very nervous and excited at the same time. Best decision I ever made!. I had been wearing glasses and contacts for about 15 years prior to getting Lasik. The initial consultation went extremely smooth and I was given the pricing options for both my eyes. Although they advertise "As low as $250 an eye", the pricing varies depending on an individual's needs and requirements as related to the surgery itself. People need to take the time and effort to read the disclaimer. They get all upset when they find out the pricing is different. Dr. Russal explained everything to me in depth, from the procedure itself to the recovery process. Dr. Shah was very skilled and the surgery only took about 10 minutes from the time I was placed on the chair to have my eyes numbed. My vision is 20/10 as of my one-month post-op checkup in August. After the consultation, I was told I qualified for the procedure and I scheduled my surgery. Most people don't qualify for the $250 surgery, so don't plan on that being the price, you can expect more in the range of 3-4k depending on location. I was the first patient in for surgery on the day I scheduled(I would recommend this so you get in first and don't have to wait as long). Also, my wife was able to work in the waiting room using the free wifi, so she did not have to take off from work to be my driver and support beam. I was there for about 2 hours and 15 minutes the day of surgery, they did some more testing to reassure they had the right and most up to date measurements and I then was briefed by Dr. Shah and given a chance to ask him questions. The procedure itself took about 10 minutes, I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to surgeries or injuries in general and was tense the entire time, but I walked out of the vision center already seeing better. I went home and napped for 4.5 hours during the peak burning and irritating part of the recovery. When I woke up, it felt like I had an eyelash stuck in my eye or a backwards contact for a few hours. The next morning I almost felt normal, slight irritation, but nothing crazy. I went in for my follow-up the day after and was already seeing 20/15(both eyes) and 20/20 in each eye. Everything looked good and I'm happy to say goodbye glasses and contacts! I was recommended by a family member and co-workers to go to LasikPlus Vision Center KOP. I was super nervous about getting my eyes fixed, but my vision was so bad and I needed it done. I, being a nurse, am very cautious about who I go to for care. I had the most amazing experience and best care. The surgery was done by Dr. Shaw and he walked me through the entire process the day of the surgery. He is the best!! My consultation appointment and follow up appointments were with Dr. Kelly McCann. She was the main reason why I had such a great experience. Super friendly and well versed about eye care. I felt completely comfortable with her and she spent time with me explaining the process and making sure I understood everything that was happening. Arrived early for my 10am appointment on a Tuesday. Waited 22 minutes then politely notified staff chatting at the desk that I was leaving. The girl had an apathetic "ok" like this is common. I allotted 2 hours of my day for a consult but I have other obligations. Many physicians will not see you if you are greater than 15 minutes late for an appointment because their time is valuable. Apparently this office does not regard their patients' time as valuable. They instructed to allow for 1.5 hours for your consult. They should heed their own advice and not crowd their schedule. read more

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Shah, Dr. Cesarano, and the entire office staff at LasikPlus. My situation was unique in that my left eye had been damaged from a previous procedure. The staff at LasikPlus took the time to listen to my story and assure me that they could help remedy the issue in my left eye. I did receive a prescription for Valium to help calm my nerves since I was very anxious due to the bad experience I had elsewhere. They offered me a discount on my procedure because I have health insurance. The office is spotless, the equipment is state-of-the-art, and the staff is efficient and friendly. I would recommend LASIK but not here. I waited 4 hours because of the electrical issues. It added to my frustration that no one on the staff informed me of anything. I was very skeptical about having eye surgery for the longest time, but finally decided to go see them. I will say the entire staff has been truly magnificent. Every one I have met has been very friendly and pleasant to be around. The process from start to finish was straightforward and quick. The day of surgery, I was a little nervous that it might not work. After some reassurance from the Dr. Russel I was ready. Omg, I never write reviews but I just need to!!! I LOVE my new eyes from LasikPlus in KOP!! The doctors and eye techs were amazing and kind to me! The entire process from consultation to 20/20 vision was only eight days!!! I went in for my consultation, not sure if I was really going to do it, I left my consultation 100% sure and my surgery set up for seven days later. I had my surgery this past Friday, three days ago, and I felt great and could see perfect the following day... I had bad vision, very dry eyes,and a bad stigmatism so I wasn't even sure I was a candidate....I wish I would have done this sooner!!
