The signup process was straightforward, and soon enough, we found ourselves in our little apartment with six cats all at once: a mom and her energetic five kittens. The shelter provided us everything we needed to care for them. Appointments were easy to schedule, and they were flexible about timing if we needed to pick them up later. Going from zero to six cats, it was a great handful but it was a blast. It helped me with my anxiety because I was too busy with the little rascals for my brain to think up any irrational worries. Between my partner and me, he is the emotionally-minded while I am logic-driven, but in this case, I was the one who fell in love first. By Day 3, my heart was breaking every night knowing that we would have to return mama cat to the shelter. I knew it was for the best so we could foster more, and frankly, it would have been a bit embarrassing to admit failure on our very first since I was very adamant in telling my partner not to get too attached to our first fosters. About two weeks in, we caved, as we couldn't bear the thought of sending our sweet Sesame back to the shelter to live out her days in a small space for an indefinite amount of time. We saw her whole nature and knew her sweetness and thoughtfulness in a way that we knew a majority of the people going into the shelter for a cute kitten would not see in this reserved adult cat. I was scared to bring this up to the foster coordinator since adopting your fosters is generally not encouraged, but they were sooo nice about it. They were very happy and saw it as a positive thing. The process to adopt was also very straightforward, and we couldn't be more happy with the addition to our family. To the new forever family of the kittens listed as Simba, Mushu, Bambi, Rajah, and Dumbo: we are so happy that they were able to find a home within two weeks after being returned to the shelter. While the facility did look clean, my goodness, it smelled so bad. So I came to this animal shelter on a whim and the building is so nice. I was helped immediately, everyone was friendly, and I went to go look around at the dogs. I found a dog I was interested in but was on a hold. I was told that once the dog is no longer on the hold, I could call and set up an appointment for a meet and greet. Well, my first time at this shelter was on Wednesday, the dog was no longer on the hold today (Saturday) so I made sure to call and make an appointment for a Meet and Greet. The lady told me she had times available same day and I was able to meet the dog a few hours after making the phone call. I came in, I was helped promptly. And I got to meet the dog. I asked the worker if I would be able to walk the dog. It was a little misty outside so she gave me a jacket to give the dog and the staff member was with me outside with the dog and she was so friendly. Once I was done, I let the staff member know I wanted to adopt and she let me sit with the dog a little longer while she got the paperwork ready for me. The fee was not bad at all because it included the adoption fee, vaccines, check up with vet, pet insurance for a month, neuter, and microchip! Once I completed all the paperwork, I was given all the forms in a nice little folder and a bunch of flyers and coupons. I was also given a goody bag and a variety of blankets to choose from. I wish I remembered the lady that helped me because I truly feel like she made this experience extra special. She set up his neuter appointment so I haven't gotten a chance to take him home yet, but I'll be able to after he's neutered. I am really happy with my experience at this animal shelter and I'll definitely be referring friends and family to come adopt here!

She took them to the Upland Animal shelter thinking someone would help this poor baby. Instead she was met with dismissiveness and attitude being told by employees she could just wait for the cops since it was already close to closing. One wouldn't even look at her, just kept walking to her car. While I understand procedures and hours of operation, this is NO WAY to treat someone who's trying to help little creatures who cannot help themselves especially with the heat wave we're experiencing in Upland this week. Please keep this in mind when thinking of donating to this place. Disgraceful.

She wants to make absolutely sure the adoption is a good fit. I have two other lap dogs with one being a little possessive of me. Royce and her sister drove Macy to our home to meet our dogs . They stayed for a long time to watch the behavior of the three dogs and also taught me how dogs " size each other up " In the end we passed with flying colors and could not be happier with our new girl Macy Thank you Angels and Paws and most of all for Royce and all the unsung heroes who sacrifice so the unwanted dogs can once again find a place they can call home

She has FOUND OUR ADDRESS WITHOUT OUR CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE when we had just moved last month. She has posted our private information without our knowledge. Save yourselves time and go to the San Bernardino County Animal Shelter. We fostered a dog from here as a favor for a mutual friend, Royce. During the time Ruby (the dog) was with us, I sent numerous photos and communication to her privately. Royce then posted to 10k+ people our names, where we live, where my partner works, as well as photos of our house and Ruby WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. Additionally, we were discussing the potential of foster failing, because Ruby has been a huge blessing to our lives. Within the FB post on August 16th, Royce stated she hoped we would foster fail and asked everyone to pray. Royce detailed a very sweet story of how my partner originally found Ruby in the Cajon Pass and surrendered her to the rescue, as well as more info. I did not have knowledge of this post until a couple days ago. On a Monday, Royce and I had a phone call about the health of the dog and I told her she should visit during our next vet apt to see how well she's doing. Ruby came to us extremely dirty and itchy from her property, but we have poured a lot of love into her. She asked if we wanted to adopt, and before I could answer she told us to think about it and that cost would be $300. At this point, zero mention of contracts for fostering or adoption have been discussed. Monday 2pm- Royce texted me that she would discount to $200. At this time, I was taking care of Ruby and getting ready for work. I get off at 8pm, and by the time my partner and I finished our evening it was 9pm. I decided to reply in the morning. Tuesday morning, I woke up to a text from Royce at 10pm saying, "is that not good enough for you?" I replied at 7am and apologized for not responding. I told her we had a busy day (taking care of Ruby, work, car A/C going out) and that we would love to adopt her. I said thank you for the discount and that my partner will send her a Zelle now. SHE TRIED TO CANCEL THE ADOPTION. We already paid for the dog, and she acknowledged we had paid for the dog. She told me I was ungrateful for not saying thank you. That I didn't reply fast enough, and that I didn't "kiss her ass enough". We kept Ruby, as we paid the money for her. There is no one else lined up to take her, so she would just go back to a kennel. She has since posted the dog for adoption, even though she is not in her possession. She has threatened our friends, to show up at my partner's workplace, to call the cops, and continues to blow up our phones. She called animal control on us, which they closed out the call in 5 min when seeing Ruby was well taken care of. This has been a traumatic experience for my partner and I. We will likely never use a private rescue again. It's been awful. We are good people with lots of experience with dogs. We just hope the next person has the same insight we do now.

That's not to say they are the friendliest or most personable--they are actually pretty to-the-point. But honestly, what can you expect when you're underfunded and working in a field where the odds are stacked against you, yet you still show up every day because you love the animals? That was the vibe I got from this place. It isn't the cleanest or fanciest shelter, but they are clearly doing their best to get as many animals off the streets and into loving homes as possible. I really respect the work they're doing and would absolutely work with them again in the future. I also really appreciate that they don't have a ton of hidden fees like I've found with some other shelters. Overall, I'm grateful that they were able to help these three kittens, and I hope they all find wonderful forever homes!

Dr. May, Ashlin, Kayla and Laura took amazing care of my sweet oldest "daughter" who is a double digit aged feline that is generally nervous (albeit sweet and quiet) and does not do well in unfamiliar situations like vet visits. My kitty did quite well with Dr. May (just like the previous 2x I have come in for appts) because she takes her time petting her and genuinely cares for my little furry child. I don't trust anyone else with my 4 cats, so please strongly consider this vet office when you are looking for a safe place for your pets to be seen. PS My cat was so relaxed (and this was without medical intervention to calm her) I honestly think she may have fallen asleep at some point while Dr. May and I were coming up with my little girl's care plan.

I fostered multiple dogs for her in the past before I foster failed with 2 that I now have. She knew the dogs well and recommended my second one because she knew my first one could be a little difficult with some males. She cares about the dogs and although she may be candid and sound harsh in her tone at times, she's a good person that wants the best for dogs. I would definitely recommend the organization.
