Orders messed up multiple times None of the plates brought out to table landed at the right person. Draft beer ordered came out in bottles. Soda - a few orders - came out flat. Food was marginal: None of the first batch of fries came out warm. 6 plates. The replacement fries sent out later were fried to desiccation. Smash burgers were good. Philly pork sandwich was on point too. Mussels tasted like ammonia. But we were advised by the.sharp talking manager they were "fresh" (not old as I, a 40 year fisherman suggested). She gleamed when she stated she took them off the bill. (? Ok. Thanks?) And said she'd talk to her supplier. Sorry folks. If you have the food in your custody it's on you if you if you choose to serve food that's spoiled. Not recommended. As locals we try to keep in palmetto. I will say…read morethat the historical neighborhood bar (est. 1946) has been very well supported by its patrons for decades and is a wonderful place to relax after work by its non-judgmental blue and white collar customers. I see new customers daily who then turn into "regulars". There is an enormous Yankee population who visit for several months of the year, all of which enjoy weekly Karaoke, live music, and charismatic bartenders. You won't find a $21 NY Strip at the Gator lounge; however their $6 large pepperoni pizza just hits the spot with a $1 draft beer while watching a ball game on one of the many flat screen TV's. The Gator owners and staff are a great team of sports fans, church goers, campers, who regularly hold fundraisers for the less fortunate. We (customers) love them.  We spend holidays, birthdays, weddings, together. The recently renovated Gator Lounge team has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity over the years. They have holiday meal gatherings; put together several times a charter bus for 80+ customers to attend the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey games. The Gator staff organized a "Bikes for Tikes" fundraiser last Christmas and through it's patrons and community raised, assembled, and distributed over 70 new bicycles to brighten Christmas day of some children. They've put together many parade floats for the customers to throw beads from, and so much more for the community. The Gator lounge is simply a tremendous team of wonderful loving people. I personally recomend everybody drop in for your favorite libation and a pizza, corndog, chicken wings etc. If you do, you will return again.  I've no doubt!!
