We had a 2 boat group Fish with CAPT Tanner and Mitchel from Last Cast Charters on 3/24/26. What a great day on the water. Both captains did a great Job getting this Father and Son group on the fish. We caught some Trout and really got into some nice RED Fish. They Cleaned up our catch and we had a great meal of fresh Fish. I will Defiantly Hit up Last Cast Charters again when in the Destin Area. Went on a 4-hour morning trip with Tanner, and my wife and I had a great time. Despite several obstacles (recent hurricane causing dirty water, cold front and cold water temps) Tanner was still able to put us on several good groups of redfish. We caught more than enough keepers and were able to throw a couple back. Tanner was very knowledgeable, friendly and laid back and made everything easy for us. Our only regret was not booking a full-day tour. We took our filets to Tailfin's and had one blackened and one fried. Made for a great lunch after a great morning of fishing. Vacation is about making lifetime memories with the ones you love. Our fishing trip is certainly a memory that won't soon be forgotten. I booked this fishing charter for myself, My kids, and two of their friends. The two girls didn't think that they would enjoy fishing but they wound up really enjoying themselves. Our trip began with a short trip to an area near a marina to catch small croakers to use as bait. We enjoyed snagging the little bait fish for our fishing adventure. While we were catching the small fish Captain Blake explained to us our plan for the fishing trip. There were also some scattered storms in the area that he was going to be fishing around. After a brief stay at the bait stop we made our way to the first of probably seven fishing spots. We were targeting spotted trout and we landed one in the first twenty minutes of being there. During the day were pretty lucky. We took home seven keepers. One was a really large trout. After we pulled back into the marina at the end of our journey Captain Blake gutted, cleaned, and filleted our fish for us. He put them in a freezer bag and were able to bring home our catch. We all had a wonderful fishing trip and I would recommend this outfit to anyone. read more

Our first time in Destin and we were referred to Last Cast Charters. We had a pretty disappointing trip out. We spent the first 30 minutes looking for bait fish... seriously? This should've been my warning that our captain wasn't terribly motivated to have a successful trip... I'm spending $660 for a 4 hour trip and you don't have bait ready. When we finally start fishing we caught our first fish in minutes and then we got cold. We then went from cold spot to cold spot. Now I can't blame the captain for the fish not biting but if I was running the boat and I couldn't find any fish the first thing I would get on the radio and ask for help from my peers. Instead we finished the day with 2 fish and about a pound of fish. YMMV but I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Being from the gulf coast (Texas) and having buddies that take me fishing all the time, I had a hard time paying for a fishing guide! Decided to use Capt Blake because of the reviews but we were very disappointed. It was one of the worst fishing trip ever for the last 15 yrs fishing! He was not personable at all and couldn't find a fish to land and catch. We ended up with one good fish and two junk ones in a 4 HR trip. He didn't care enough to help us untangle our lines. We love Captain Blake!! He is very knowledgeable and helpful. We have used his charter service since 2009 and even on days when the fish refuse to bite we still have a great time. Winter is just as fun as summer so we use him year round. Part of the trip may include catching bait then going to different spots to fish. We often catch redfish or speckled trout and Blake always cleans & filets them for us. I recommend you bring your own cooler with drinks & snacks. Blake provides a cooler & ice for the fish to stay in once you catch them. He provides all the fishing equipment. We have used guides in FL, TX, LA, & the Caymans and he is by far our favorite. We don't bother using anyone else. He is a cheerful guide that will do his best to help you catch fish, and even if you don't you will enjoy the boat trip with him. He stays in the bay so there is no chance of getting seasick. His boat is big enough to move around on and his prices are very reasonable. He even accommodated our 3 yr old with a life jacket and lots of bait fish to play with. Five stars all the way!!! read more

Took the wife and 2 kids fishing over labor day weekend, everyone had an excellent time and Captain Blake was very helpful and patient. Caught a good amount of fish (some really good size too!) and Captain Blake even helped the kids set the hooks. His boats are very nice and his equipment is definitely top notch. Booked a charter with capt Blake over the phone a week or to before I came to Destin touched base with him a few times before the trip up to the day before we were going to go. I always asked how the fishing was and was always told it was good . Got to the boat that morning to not find Blake but a nice guy named Justin . So even though Justin was a great guy would have been nice to know that Blake wasn't going to be the one taking us fishing . First problem no ice on the boat to keep our drinks cold. Second problem was Justin as nice as he was , was not in my opinion an experienced fisherman told us tide dosent matter when fishing for red fish and had us keeping just league fish because he knew that's all we would catch. Fishing was not good as we went casting at docks the entire trip. 3 small red fish 3 sea trout. Met two guys who were locals after we got back took us to the bridge that evening and caught us 10 red fish in all up to about 30 lbs. they told me tide and area were everything when fishing reds and laughed when I told them about our charter. Paid capt Blake $500 for a jerk job gave the other guys $100 and they were so great full they bought us drinks at a local bar. Think twice before chartering in Destin!!!!! read more
