Best chiropractor I have ever encountered! Over the years I have become very cynical of the medical profession as a whole and I especially had bad experiences with Chiropractors. However, Dr. Velez has restored my faith in this field. I was recently diagnosed with several auto immune diseases and was in a car accident earlier this year where I was injured. This proved to be a very bad combination for my body. I was quickly degenerating and because of my lack of trust for the medical field I did not seek treatment. Forced by insurance to seek treatment for the car accident, I did some research and found Dr. Velez. I am so thankful to God for him. He is very knowledgeable and uses several different techniques to restore the body function. Many of his treatments have immediate results. Once I went in with sinus issues and left clear. Another time I went in wheezing and left with clear lungs. Other treatments take several visits but work well. My right leg and foot have been numb for about a year. I've been seeing Dr. Velez for the past 6 month's or so. Initial visit like most of you was to correct a bad lower back. He corrected the alignment and I felt much better. What stands out for me with Dr. Velez was not the initial visit but how he has treated my whole body subsequently. I have been seeing him consistently at least once per month like a car getting it's oil and filter change. My last visit he looked at my feet because they have been bothering me. Can't say enough great things about this place!!! He doesn't subject you to radiation (x-Rays) to see what's wrong with you, he has a neat scanner that measures your spine. I had HORRIBLE sciatica due to my lumbar region being out of place. It took several sessions, as there is no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to health issues, but the end result was incredible. I have mobility that I haven't had in years! Dr. Velez is great! He came recommended to me by our daughter who said helped her tremendously. When I first decided I should go to a Chiropractor, she called him on a Friday to see if he would see me, he was out of town but spoke to me on the phone, I sensed that he actually cared about my pain and that he wanted to help me. He arranged for me to see another Chiropractor within the hour and have me see him the following week when he returned. He later called me during the weekend to see how I was doing. A few days later I saw him and he treated me. I rarely post anything on here but decided to after an awful experience. I went to see this so called Doctor for my infant. After taking him 3 times I decided I will not continue. I took my son for some issues with his neck and other things. Velez only saw us for 5-10 minutes and did nothing. The first day he did spend at least 25 minutes but did nothing but ask questions, the following 2 days we saw him he did not do anything but did charge us a lot for seeing him. I wish I could have told him I did not want to pay at the time for his so called "service" but I did. If you want to get ripped off do not go to him. Maybe he is good with adults but with infants he is not. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere. read more

I am so lucky to have found Dr. Velez. I've had back tightness and hip pain for quite some time and really messed myself up when I went for an ATV ride recently. I can honestly say without a doubt that Dr. Velez is the best chiropractor. I must admit I thought all chiropractors were the same: they want you in-and-out and perform the same routine adjustments every time with little communication. My two previous chiropractors were like this, but I noticed Dr. Velez was clearly different from my very first visit. He took time with me to figure out my specific needs and was happy to answer any questions to help me better understand what was going on. To this day, he always asks how I am feeling, not to be polite, but because he actually cares. On several occasions I told him about an issue of which I had no idea could possibly be related to chiropractic, and I was proved wrong. I had sprained my ankle in 2006, and it never really healed. It would ache and be so stiff that it was impossible to wear high heels. Dr. Velez made it a goal of his to fix this problem so I could once again wear stilettos. Not only did he adjust my ankle, but he also demonstrated exercises that I could do at home to help stretch and strengthen the muscles in my leg that were causing all of the pain. It really means a lot to me that he goes above and beyond the typical adjustments by offering advice and suggestions of in home care so that I am able to get the best results from treatment. I have chronic neck and left shoulder pain and I always get deep tissue massage thinking my muscles are stiff and tense from stress. When it hurts I just want it to stop, Dr. Velez explained what was going on but what I could not fully understand was that stress was the main culprit.
