There was only one employee and he was running the deep fryer and was also running the checkout area. I ordered a four piece all white chicken dinner with Hush puppies for a total of $20. When I got home and opened the box I had one large chicken breast one small chicken breast and two wings. The chicken was cooked and tasty however the breading was soggy and not crisp. I can't say I was overly pleased with the chicken, but the hush puppies were to die for. It was my first time there and I probably won't return. There are too many other fried chicken places that are better.

When the manager saw us playing euchre, however, she screamed at us from across the bar that euchre was "illegal" and not allowed. She demanded that we stop immediately and made clear that we were not welcome at the establishment. Playing a friendly, non-cash game of cards is not illegal, and the manager said she also would have kicked us out for playing Uno. As a private business, McKay's is free to enforce whatever rules it wants. However, in addition to being forced to leave, the way the manager handled the situation was unnecessarily aggressive and belittling. She could have quietly come to our table and explained the policy, but instead chose to yell at us from across the bar. There are plenty of great businesses in Blo-No worth supporting that do not treat their patrons this way. I will take my future business elsewhere and encourage anyone reading this to do the same.
