Chicharron with Yellow Rice and Maduros

We came from lot D, so this was near the beginning of the food court, and either people just ordered from the 1st place they see, or it's just that popular as it was a madhouse in that section of the food court lol Hubby waited to order from Latin Grill while I went for Ramen. He had a good experience with the staff Everything looked good, but he settled for Chicharron with Yellow Rice and Maduros. The Chicharron were crispy and tender and so full of flavor. Yellow rice and Maduros were both good. Definitely want to try other items.

This is inside the American Dream mall food court, so let's start with those expectations. I did expect the meat to be a lot more flavorful. It needed a sauce, which is fine I guess but I would appreciate it more if it was already seasoned properly. The plantains were plain. The rice was bland and had so much potential...they give you so much just to fill your plate, but it's not something you'll want to gorge on.

We didn't expect too much for food court food and Latin Grill surprised us with its taste. The options they serve weren't in a great variety compared to other restaurants but decent enough as a quick fix. We had a steak with 2 sides, fries and broccoli. The sides were not the best but with reasonable portion. The steak was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender but only 3 pieces per order which was kind of disappointing.

Woah Latin food at a food court that is good! It's may not taste exactly as your Abuelita would make, but it is surprisingly good, seasoned well with your basic Latin flavors and spices and it was all cooked well. At least for the Arroz Amarillo, Lechon, and Platanos Maduros that I got. The Arroz Amarillo, yellow rice, had that Latin base taste with a hint of oregano and cilantro. And the Lechon, roast pork is also was well seasoned and cooked well too. The best was the Platanos Maduros, fried sweet Plantains were deliciously sweet and were caramelized to perfection. I don't know about the chicken, ribs, fish, and other foods here and I wish they had red beans, but I would not hesitate to have the same dish again.

The yellow rice was flavorful and well-cooked, and overall, these three choices worked well together.

Finally I could come to try this restaurant and I was gladly surprised, the hype is not fake…read more From the beginning, the attention from the personnel was super polite and respectful. I made a reservation and they've respected my request to be seated inside. The atmosphere inside is very vivid, like the name of the restaurant... it feels like you are in a party. My only wish is that they would play Peruvian music so the experience would be more immersive with the food. The menu is big and one of the things that I've liked was to see a lot of dishes that are not common in a Peruvian Restaurant outside Perú... like Aji de Gallina, Anticuchos and Picarones. Now the most important, the food... the quality was very good, since the plates arrived to our table, the smell and the presentation was a temptation to go all the way in. The ingredients used felt fresh and made to order. Every plate had its own characteristic and flavour... good size too. The "choco lucuma" cake for dessert was a great finish... moisty and the intensity of the chocolate and lucuma flavor to a good ratio. If you have the chance to try it... go for it, you'll not regret.

I liked the variety in the menu although i did not like that there were no descriptions- they need to fix this!!! I knew what items were but had to explain everything to my girlfriend who knew nothing. I ordered Ribs, chow mein, and a chuchito. All were really good and i would recommend. Full of authentic flavors. Portion was plenty big and the price of dishes is well priced in my opinion. $, not too expensive not too cheap. The vibe in the place is nice and looks like they put in a lot of effort to decorate! Service was good and they tried their best to explain menu items!

It was full, super lively, so many people are out there eating, and hanging out! I came back the next morning on Monday morning and checked out their baked goods and food. Of note, they are primarily Spanish-speaking, but you could just tell that the crew is so kind and welcoming and treats each other like family ! There was a guy from the back who spoke some English, and he helped me out with the menu and ordering. I got a cafe con leche (coffee with milk) ($3)sweetened which was SO GOOD. None of that watery coffee, but just so creamy and delicious! I think they made the Cuban style or added some sweetened condensed milk because it was absolutely delicious. Also got the banana bread (~$3) -- was yummy and perfect with the coffee! By itself was a tiny bit dry with a light and fluffy banana taste but sooo good with the coffee. And got the mixed tacos ($13) 4 tacos -- really great deal, with a mix of chicken, pork sausage, beef and maybe more pork? Also had a chopped radishes, cilantro, onion, and came with a few limes and salsa! Such a great deal and very protein filled! I love these types of restaurants and wish that my Spanish was better for next time.
