Absolutely love this place. The food is always served fresh, hot, and delicious. They are also very generous on the portion size. The waiters are always very friendly and attentive. I've never had a complaint about this place.

What a great Cuban restaurant! I wish we had these in New York City. Everything that we ordered on the menu was so flavorful and delicious. The customer service was also great. They gave us all of our food quickly and were constantly filling our water cups. They have classic cars outside that really create a welcoming atmosphere. Inside is pretty spacious and great for groups and families. I would definitely go back to try more on the menu.

Food was amazing very flavorful and we got the bowls which was just the right amount. The fish ceviche was everything! And I had a blue cheese olive Martini that was good after I took the olives out! Service was very nice and patient and it's so cute and cozy inside feeling very authentic! Will revisit!

(Dined 07/14/23 FR @ 8:00pm): My belly was doing the rumba for some Cuban food after drinking with friends! Rumba Cubana was the closest desirable restaurant walking distance from New Jersey Brewing Co. where a small group of us were drinking. I Liked Cuban cuisine but had to limit myself to seafood on this no-meat Friday. This place was bumping and was my first experience with Cuban food in New Jersey, so I was excited about that. Would the flavors of this Caribbean island tantalize our taste buds to dance and do the rumba in our respective mouths!? PURCHASE Rumba's Cadillac ($13.95): Made with El Jimador reposado tequila, lime juice, triple sec, sour mix, and Grand Marnier floated on top, this margarita was a welcomed change of pace from the hoppier beers we were drinking. Sorry... forgot to snap a picture, Blue Cuban #2 ($13.95): Made with Selvarey white rum, blue curaçao, Rumba's coconut mix, lime juice, and coconut water floated on top, I was solely sold on the color of this blue Hawaiian which could've used more rum. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=e9QckStlEHqymszZ-aKr3g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Ceviche De Camarones ($8.95): Shrimp cured in lime-tomato marinade, onions, and cilantro, served with crispy plantain chips, I was disappointed with the small portion, the lack of shrimp, and wished the marinade was spicier and thicker. The plantain chips seemed like a throwaway. A simple but lackluster dish. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=DdTOMnsLfBowFvxqFSpE_g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw El Pescador ($19.95): Pan-seared filet of fish topped with shrimp, shimmered in a zesty creole sauce, white rice, and sweet plantains, the fish although on the small side was nice and moist, the shrimp was a lovely touch, and the mound of steaming white rice paired well with the sauce while the sweet plantains was an dessert. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=oI8ByUxaeF0LpTXpjArviw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE We were warmly greeted by an older gentleman who was able to find us a table on a busy Friday night. Although we needed time to decide what to eat, we all quickly ordered drinks which came out surprisingly fast. Once our party of five ordered food, our dishes arrived around ten minutes later. We were periodically checked on with empties being removed and our water glasses filled. They allowed us to relax and converse after we were done with no pressure to leave - thank you! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance) We initially took the light rail to Tonnelle Ave. Station to drink at nearby New Jersey Brewing Co., which was then a quick five minute walk to this eatery. They had their own sizable onsite lot. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Tonnelle Ave. and nearby surrounding side streets - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A large floorplan with several rooms completely packed with chairs/tables and a familiar homely feel. Honestly, I couldn't recall anything else since I was more focused on getting some food into my belly. During the daytime, I imagined plenty of natural lighting entered through the many glass windows while a ton of dim electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I couldn't recall if there were any TVs or any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL For the brief amount of time spent here on pure happenstance, I'd like to make another visit especially on a non-Friday. Based on what everyone else ordered and my own, I felt there were more than enough positive things I saw. The menu had plenty of options, the prices were comparable, the drinks and food were good enough, and the service was adequate. And, whenever possible I liked to support small family-owned and/or local businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $60.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

The vibes are giving Havana, Cuba. Both gorgeous inside and out! They also have seating inside and outside, very spacious. The decor was spectacular, lights, signs, old cars, photos, the ambiance is 10/10. They really make you feel like you're back in Cuba. The price was fairly cheap, it was 6 people total the bill was $250. Not bad at all. There were definitely many good options to choose from. I would personally say the appetizers were better then the meals. We got guacamole with chips, 10/10. Bacon wrapped yuca, 20/20!! *that's a must try* guacamole was good, just a lot 8/10. Drinks we had lemonade, mezcal mules and bottled water, 10/10. Our meals how ever, eh. I got the garlic chicken, I was not a fan, 5/10. Vaca con ropa was pretty good, 7/10. I would def try this cuban cuisine out if you're in the area, keep it light and stick to drinks and appetizers.

Rumba Cubana in North Bergen completed our quest to dine at all of the Rumba Cubana locations. As always, the food was delicious and the service was good. We visited this location for brunch after the Breast Cancer Walk in Newark on Sunday the 15th of October 2023. It was early so parking was very easy, the lot was nearly empty. We were seated immediately. Our server was very nice. The decor was tropical and cuban esq. Music was low enough to add to the ambience and still allowed for conversation. The food was on point, hot and delicious, My daughter had the dish that comes with a little of everything and she loved it. My husband and I had the fish and shrimp in a tomato sauce with black rice and fried sweet plantains. So delicious. Now we will select a new restaurant group to try!

My first impression was that this restaurant is very affordable & the ambiance was beautiful, my partner & I sat outside on their nice patio. The guacamole was delicious I loved that it had pineapple in it, it gave such a nice splash of flavor. My steak dinner was absolutely delicious. The fried crust on top was extremely delicious. Upon ordering, I had no idea there was crust on it. I thought I was getting a regular sirloin steak/ there was a bit of a language barrier between us and the waiter. He said the steaks were made on the grill but this steak was clearly fried. But overall I loved the fried steak. My partner was disappointed because he did not want to eat anything fried. Also, the rice and beans were absolutely delicious.

Rumba Cubano is excellent! Been to a few of their locations. Service was top notch. Enjoyed my cubano sandwich with sweet plantains. Dessert of coconut flan and cappuccino, parking with valet. Enjoy the Cuban atmosphere.

    The little bit of everything!

1st time to Rumba & just have to say, Wow!!! Walk upstairs & enter the restaurant & you feel like you have been transported into a different place and time. The decor, music & even staff uniforms give you a full Cuban vibe. Service is fantastic. All are on the move all the time. An extra plus is the location. You have an amazing view of the NY city skyline. We started our evening with some classic cocktails & enjoyed the music & Atmosphere after we placed orders. Now, let's talk about the food! Based on our servers recommendation,we had a Cuban sampler platter & we had an order of the shrimp cerviche for our appetizers. Everything was flavorful & authentic tasting. For dinner, our party of 3 each tried something different Sandwich Cubano, Ropa Vieja & Un Poquito de Todo ( a little bit of everything) A Combination Of Our Signature Roasted Pork, Shredded Beef, Steamed Cassava With Mojo, & Fried Sweet Plantains. Finished the evening with cafe con Leche & expresso & a order of Flan. We departed with full bellies & leftovers for another meal. The only challenge you may encounter is parking. They do have valet service, even though we did find on street parking.

I love coming here! This is always a go to local restaurant for me. They have unbeatable prices in the area and the food always leaves you feeling satisfied. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs and what always catches me off guard is how quick they are with service and how the servers tend to one another's tables to ensure quality service and make sure no one needs anything while their colleagues tend to other tables. There is valet parking , as well as street metered parking nearby. They have an outdoor seating area/patio that is decorated nicely and the inside has also been updated.

Came here with a group of four and had heard good things about Harrys. In this predominantly…read morehispanic neighborhood, an American restaurant is a different experience for most. The vibe inside is calm and low lit, good for conversating with others. Although there really is not something that distinguishes the restaurant. The staff was helpful, no issues in service, they noted specific items which weren't available. Now the menu has just a few items which is not a bad thing but I went with the rigatoni bolognese. My honest opinion is that it was just ok, garlic bread was an added price, and for the price of this dish which was 25$+ for about 10-11 pieces of pasta ... it just is not justified. They are charging nyc midtown prices for average food... in a location where theres plenty of other spots that for half the price will give you double the amount.

We actually called earlier in the day to ask if we can move up the reservation and they were totally fine with it. I guess it was not a busy time because it was empty when we arrived. We were seated quickly and welcomed by all the staff. The waitress we had was new and I wish I remembered her name. She was excellent! We started with drinks and everyone ordered the Frozen Ginny, except for my mom, who had a glass of wine. Me and my gf kept boasting about the frozen ginny and everyone loved it. It's the perfect amount of sweetness. We ordered a bunch of appetizers because we were all starving. We had the brisket sliders, octopus, shrimp tacos, and meatballs. It was all so delicious and filled with flavor. My fav was the brisket sliders. We ate everything and still had space when we moved onto our entrees. I think it was less because we were still hungry and more because it was soo good. I also boasted about the crab pasta so 3 out of the 5 of us had it. My mom and I ended up splitting the crab pasta and steak frites because that's also tasty. My gf had her salmon with salad that she was craving for a while. All of the dishes were a hit and my group kept saying how great the place was. My gf ended up getting me a custom cake and paid the cake fee but the Harry's team took it a step further and even helped her fix up the cake and put the candles in because the bakery messed things up last minute. The team went above and beyond with no questions asked to make our reservation smooth and enjoyable. I'm so grateful! I will be coming back soon DUH!

Now I have a thing when people say "it's just next door" or "it's right down the street." What did George Dubya say? Fool me once and it's shame on you, fool me twice and the shame is mine for getting us into a war based on lies and greed?" Yeah something like that. Anyways, I typically don't believe when people say something is close so whenever I visit her we just order in delivery rather than motivate (ie put on a bra) and go out. But dang it this is literally. Right. Next. Door. As in I can sit on the deck outside of the restaurant and look in her living room. Smh. I say all that to say IVE BEEN MISSING OUT!! Her bday was this weekend so she booked a large table for family and friends. I was relieved to see they had valet. Parking is atrocious in this development so to only pay $10 to be 10 feet from the door was awesome. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff know her well and treated her as a valued guest. Here's the rundown: We went for BRUNCH. They have a prix fixe for $41 of most of the brunch items and it includes 2 Bellini, 2 mimosas, or 2 Bloody Marys. Good right? Welp what you don't know is that their cocktail menu is incredible so to heck with the prix fixe. We got mimosas at home!! Between the 10 of us we got cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, coffee. Highlights: -Service was spectacular. Wesley was On It! By the time we finished eating there was another party of 10+ seated right behind us that he was servicing. I hope he enjoys the reward$ of his hard work! Make it rain on em Wesley! -Fat friendly seating. No arms, solid chairs, comfortable cushions. We were there for 4 hours and my booty was never sore. -Food. We tore it up and it was all delicious. My half of the table had the farm house breakfast sando, the fried chicken sando, French omelette, huevo rancheros. We shared the crab hush puppies, wings, calamari, goat cheese salad, and blueberry pancakes. I was nosey and saw that some of my other table mates ordered the skirt steak and eggs and the short rib. -Drinks. I know my husband loves mango so I suggested he get the smoked mango drink. I didn't know it came with theatrics. Dinner and a show?! Btw by the time our table was done almost everyone had ordered one. Lychee martini, Paloma, old fashioned, midnight espresso. Also all very good! -The View. Our party was too large to sit outside but we did sit right at the floor to ceiling windows. In between birthday wishes and food comas we watched the boats, jet skis, and undulating waves of the Hudson. Previous posters are correct - the place is pricey. But high key the people who live in that area are already paying a premium for everything else sooooo. Now, I DONT live in that area lmao so this will be a rarer treat for me. But I was happy to celebrate my cousin's birthday in a place that she loves. Awesome experience - I look forward to returning! 10/10 would put on a bra for this and walk downstairs lol
