I was given the info for this place by a lady when getting a "Cuban" in Publix. It is everything! I def went today & the display of food brought me nyc nostalgia. The plate was so much that I'm pretty sure I have food for tomorrow. It was so good. I cannot wait to go back. They also have a meat market. Also it's so many other things in the supermarket part. They have most of the specialty products needed for Hispanic recipes and their prices are reasonable. The to-go food quality has gone downhill now it is just trays of greasy mess. There are no prices posted for any of the meals and it seems they charge whatever they want at the register. I asked for the prices and was given one amount but they have different size containers and trays. My father got was they called mondongo and it was just chewy, hog maws in a watery smelly soup. Want to save money and have an awesome meal(s) in Pinellas County then come here. When first walking in I was a bit nervous because everyone was speaking Spanish but when it came to order they quickly changed to English with me and each time gave me enough delicious food for two meals that was 7-8 dollars in a to go container. The food has been awesome everytime and truly authentic Caribbean Latin food. I feel I make the best pigeon peas and rice and here it is a very similar taste. Only downfall is if you get some for the youngins watch out for bones in the meat. I have no problem with it and know it adds flavor. Just be careful. read more

Because this us the only place in Pinellas that we've found where one can buy arepas Venezolano, arepas Colombianas, as well as Colombian chorizo montañero. This is an excelente Latin foods store and hot food bar. They make amazing sandwiches. You can also get great to go food: yuca, plantain, pork shoulder, beef and chicken dishes. They have nice produce and a very cool variety of exotic sodas and beverages (as well as beer mixes..). Irish Moss? Watermelon soda? Champps Cola? Tropical juices? Yes, they've got them. Latinos is a small hole in the wall supermarket in Clearwater. With a great selection of South American grocery items. This place makes the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. They are huge and for $5.50, and incredible deal. They use fresh ham, salami, Swiss and chunks of real roast pork. They also have awesome daily lunch special. Latinos is a take out grocery, so don't expect a place to sit and eat. Since, their website wasn't working/active and I don't or ever will have a Facebook account. I decided to check them out, and what a tremendous disappointment it was. First, the word "super" gave me the idea that it was a good size store but when I arrived it was exactly the opposite. Just a tiny store with only two short hallways of products. The second thing I immediately noticed that almost everything didn't have price labels on the products or on the shelves. The few that had price labels were "super" over priced. Decent Latin corner market. Has cod, chicken, shredded pork etc with some nice sauce and plantains. A decent selection of cold meats and cheeses and general other Latin supplies. I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches loaded that I have had in Clearwater. The team I met there doesn't speak English really at all. So if you don't speak Spanish be prepared they will get mildly frustrated with you as you work your way through understanding what they are asking you. But the foods worth it. Enjoy. read more

Finally Great Latino food that is not Mexican! Recently moved to Clearwater and its all Mexican places. Im not hating at all, I love Mexican food as well but I need some of that Island food too. Perñil was delicious, rice and red beans were spot on!, and finally the Yuca was soft and seasoned great! Avocado was creamy and washed it all down with a Malta India! Latinos Supermarket is a small hispanic market. While they do carry various grocery items, produce, and beverages, the main reason to visit is to order a styrofoam to-go carton filled with hot, delicious latin food. If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry, they speak English. If you can't understand some of the thicker accents, just point at what you want. Don't be alarmed by the outside if you're one of those people who won't eat someplace that looks a little sketchy. They keep the store clean, the produce is fresh, and the hot food is made fresh every day. The must-try item is the Pernil (roasted pork shoulder that's pronounced 'pear-NEEL'). It's roasted until the skin turns a crunchy, dark caramel. A typical to-go order comes with your choice of meat (alternating between roasted pork, stewed chicken, stewed goat, roasted chicken, pork chops, beef stew and more during the week), choice of yellow rice with pigeon peas or plain white rice, black or red beans (the red beans are delicious on their own like soup), yuca with pickled red onion or sweet plantains. I highly recommend the goat stew as well, but be prepared to eat with your fingers, as there are some small bones with lots of good meat attached. In Ecuador, we call the burned/crispy rice at the bottom of the pot cocolón. I'm not sure what it's called in other countries, but if you're a fan of this crunchy charred rice, they save it and it's there if you want it. If you want extra gravy or stew sauce on your rice, just ask - they happily oblige. The roasted chicken is also very good if you are looking for a lighter meat option. You can also just order beans and rice, which is sold by the pound. A caution against this however - they will load up the container with rice unless you tell them to stop. A to-go container meal is a LOT of food, enough to feed two normal people. I usually pick up a can of juice or soda, and the total for food carton and drink comes to $8.44 with tax. Latinos also serves sandwiches, and the Cuban is another delicious lunch option. Please keep in mind that the Cuban sandwiches here are a little different than other places in the Tampa area. If you ask for a Cuban and they ask "all the way?", that means it comes with the meat, cheese AND lettuce, tomato, and generous portion of paper-thin slices of red onion. Also, instead of sliced deli pork, they use the above-mentioned roasted pork in their Cubans. The bread is very good Cuban bread, and they will press the sandwich there, which I also recommend. Be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes if you arrive after 12:15 - a line does often form inside the store for sandwiches and hot plates. The sandwiches at Latinos are large, definitely enough to share. They also serve fried empanadas, but they sit under a hot lamp at the counter. They are tasty, but unless you get them early in the day, they do suffer from sitting under the lamp for a few hours. If you haven't tried latin sodas before, pick up a can of Coco Rico or Inca Cola in the drink cooler to try with your meal. Enjoy! read more

This place looks like another sketchy corner store cafe among the many other hole in the wall places along Drew St. in Clearwater, but as we all know, looks can be deceiving. Despite the grunge factor of the appearance of the building, the food is delicious. They offer Latin specialty grocery products to purchase and cook at home, plus they serve hot fresh sandwiches, rice, beans, meat and other Dominican style foods straight from their cafe. Mostly, when I have eaten here, I always take it to go since there's not much room to sit here. First trip! Got the mojo pork, yellow rice, beans on the side...first thing that made me happy was they slapped a giant slab of crispy skin on top of the pulled pork. Fascinatingly good!
