The gentleman stocking the shelves and manning the counter was very nice. Price wise you still have to know what the "regular" prices are. Some things are comparable to the supermarket and some are less expensive. On the other hand, a few things are more expensive and not necessarily better in quality. We did find some nice onions -- I like that you don't have to buy an entire bag of them -- tomatoes, and limes, plus romaine lettuce. They have new and different items in the cooler and on the shelves. Some of the items are middle eastern -- like pita and hummus or za'atar and sumac spices. It was interesting to browse the shelves, too. There aren't that many independent produce markets left, especially in this area. We'd come back to check them out in the future, if nearby.

It is a fruit and vegetable market with a few other things like eggs, some pasta, cheese and other things but it is mostly fruits and vegetables here. I did see one long aisle with bargains. It had products of many kinds of things I didn't expect to find here. You have to bring your own bags. They don't have bags but they have some boxes you can use. If you use your charge card. A convenience charge fee is charge. I think it was 4%. They take cash.

Against the back wall are some boxes and canned/jarred items from Flora (pastas, etc) and Goya and other brands. The counter to pay is up front. You still need to bring your own bags. We took a stroll around. Some prices were outrageous and some were on the mark. You have to know what Publix or Walmart, etc are charging to see if the items are worth their prices. Honey and olive oil etc. etc. that we bought in the old location for 99 cents or $1.99 is now almost $5 or more here. I'm glad we came to check them out. Now we know.

But unfortunately, the attitude of the owners was like they were doing us a favor by crediting our account. They offered nothing as a gesture of Goodwill. We are not looking for freebies, but they had such an attitude that they were doing with such a big favor to refund us . Their attitudes were absolutely horrible. Sounds like they took everything personally instead of like business people. We did ask if they could send it to us and they couldn't and that is fine. A small gesture, I don't care if it was five dollars that we probably wouldn't even have taken would've been the proper way of handling it. What they basically said too bad he drove an hour half round-trip just to pick it up.

Some items are quite reasonable -- especially those items in sale. Most are at a good price or comparable to your local market. They also have a section of ready to eat cooked food and other deli items in a cooler. I did get another container of chopped chicken liver as I'd really like the one we tried before. I liked the fact that some of the cooked foods were in small portions for 1 or 2 people. What I didn't expect was the shelves of international food items -- from British to Mexican. These shelves line one wall. The place isn't large, but it certainly will have most of the fruits and veggies you're looking for. My husband thought their jumbo eggs were a real bargain, too. I'm sure we will be back when next in the area.

The cappuccino tasted like mornings in Paris, perfectly balanced, smooth, and comforting. The quiche was rich and beautifully baked, with that authentic, homemade French flavor you just can't fake.
