BOO!!! Let me tell you, normally I like this place. But what they did during this hurricane is not acceptable. Right in front of their establishment they had cases of water for $8.99. Was it Dasani? NO Aquafina? NO Evian, Perrier or Fiji? NO It was Niagara, that you can buy at Home Depot on sale today for $2.49. This is what's known as price gouging which is illegal. In fact, on the news, there was an 800 number to report things like this. I'm not going to do that. However, I am leaving this review to call you out on this. You also lost me as a customer and what's even worse. You lost my respect! I can only hope anyone reading this feels the same way I do. People were in need and people were suffering. You found it ok to charge almost 4x what the water was worth. I'm truly disgusted! read more

I drive by this little market all the time but this was my first time going inside. A friend told me that they have the best tomatoes, and I think he's right. They have beautiful produce and their prices are good. Besides produce they have a nice assortment of breads and packaged cookies, including my favorite Italian cookies. They also have a small amount of refrigerated foods. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. I'm glad I finally shopped here. I'll be back the next time I need tomatoes. read more

This really isn't a farmer's market, it's a small kosher grocery, with a little of everything from fresh produce to delicious baked goods to jars to cans & a few homemade dinner items, with low prices. You won't find cold cuts or fresh meats here... if that's what you're looking for, go up the road 1/2-mi to Western Beef. I come for the produce quality & prices. There are a number of kosher foods & varying products tucked into corners or lined along the spices against the wall. Plastic containers of seeds, figs, dates, nuts & candies are available near the checkout stands & there are homemade meals in the back self-serve deli case... normally eggplant parmesan, meatballs & fried chicken cutlets, which are very good & affordable... the fried chicken is normally a bit dry & the coating is slightly oily if reheating, but the flavors are nice, the portions are generous & if your only other option is fast food for that evening, this is a much better option. The eggplant is absolutely delicious. Haven't tried the meatballs yet. They also have store roasted chickens in the afternoon... not many & they go super fast... they're very tasty & better than the local supermarkets. Homemade soup quarts are in the cold case. Haven't tried them yet as those are their most pricey items in the store & I can eat 1-qt alone, plus I make a lot of homemade soup. They have a few frozen Dr. Pritiken foods, like potato pancakes, but they look like they've been there awhile. It's cramped, so everyone gets in everyone else's way if you use a shopping cart & even if you don't. The lines are always long & spill over into the aisles, but the people are patient & pleasant enough. My only negative? Overall, it could be cleaner, from floors to produce & storage bins. I have seen workers p/u produce from the ground & place it on top of the pile. Yeah, I get they all probably do that, but not usually in front of customers. Solid 3.8* out of 5. The lackluster cleanliness puts me off a bit. One tip. I only go about once/mo, honestly, because I forget it's there. It's in the same shopping plaza & next door to Aldi's & Hobby Lobby, with Target on the opposite end. It also can be a bear getting out of the bleedin' parking lot if there's a lot of traffic. No lights & you can't drive around the bldgs to reach one... you've got to wait at the exit ramp stop sign, oftentimes behind a few octogenarian drivers or soccer moms on their phones, to pull out into 4 lanes + 2 left turn lanes of traffic. For that reason alone, I'd never visit during rush hour or on weekends, as it can get frustrating waiting at that stop sign for the slow as molasses to move & you're mere feet from highway turn lanes, those making legal U-turns & people coming 50mph from 2 major roads up the other end. I hate the location... if not for that, I'd use it as my go to produce market, because it is the best quality produce in the area. Further, they take cash or have old fashioned credit card machines, which always seem to be on the fritz (people have to take their cards in & out a number of times) & are so slow, they make the checkout process a bit laborious, if you're in a rush. Don't come here thinking you'll get in & out in 2-min... it's gonna be 20, but the prices & quality are worth it. read more

Small local produce store, with a good selection of reasonably priced produce, Kosher goods and homemade/local soups, pickles and breads. I love places like this. Red Apple reminds me of one of those corner grocery markets in NYC. They have a selective variety of produce and you are pretty much guaranteed to find your staple goods here. They also have a nice selection of cheeses, homemade soups ($4.49 a quart), local pickles ($2.99 a quart), and a whole aisle of Kosher goods from breads to olives and most items in between. It is also located next to an Aldi, so new though you may not find it here, chances are that you can simply run next door to supplement. People here are friendly and another reason to return and support your local small business. Definitely recommend. read more

Bought an item today in the prepared food section called 'Homemade Orange Chicken'. It was like eating cardboard. Seemed more like really cheap chicken nuggets covered in an orange flavored sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds. Will not be purchasing their prepared foods again. The fruits look fine, but they dont have any organic nor local products. I'd much rather go to a bigger store that will have those options. They also carry a large selection of canned and packaged foods from various international countries, pre-cooked individual meals, frozen ready to thaw out soups and a variety of appetizers that are mouth-watering. You can find a little bit of everything and you can also sign up for their weekly email notification sent on Fridays that gives special discounts to their subscribers who make a purchase from Friday thru Sunday. This place is fantastic. We buy almost all of our produce here. Their organic section is pretty decent and has some great prices. The inventory varies depending at times depending on what they are able to bring in. For instance, sometimes we'll find some cool organic rainbow carrots or heirloom tomatoes and the next time they may not have them. We always leave happy nevertheless. Their dried food section is also very well priced and stocked. We pick up a lot of seeds, nuts and dried fruit. Like any produce market their is bound to be some bad fruit mixed in here and there, but if you know how to identify overripe produce then you won't have any problems. Just found out about this little place a few weeks ago. So nice to have a tiny produce market this close to home. The prices for vegetables and fruits are unbeatable, they're even cheaper than western beef. They have a pretty good organic section and also have some kosher options. Although sometimes the fruit quality is amazing you can find really delicious items just depending on which day you go. I've been getting most of produce here since I found it. I enjoy supporting smaller local shops instead of big corporations. It's definitely worth a look if you live in the area. Oh and they also have inexpensive and beautiful herb plants outside! read more
