    Having dinner at Latitude 28" 02' #BirthdayDinner
    Joanne L.

We had a great dinner from beginning to end. The food was phenomenal and our servicer Jessica, was so kind and gracious. We started off with cocktails; a margarita and I had the strawberry basil cocktail, but substituted the tequila with vodka. For an appetizer we started off with the lump crab, then had the corn chowder and tomato bisque soup. The butter that came with the bread was sooooo yummy. Their secret garlic butter with spices......Oh sooooooo yummy. Then we ordered the specials. My spouse had the fish, crab and shrimp in sambuca and I had the red fish in a lemon and caper sauce. We topped it off with crème brûlée and a key lime tart. So delicious. The kiddos had chicken fingers and fries. All the dishes were served with a side of orzo and vegetables, which complimented the meals perfectly. Thank you for your hospitality, great atmosphere, and hats off to your phenomenal chefs/cooks. See you again real soon. ‍

my friends order smoky salmon with capers and cream sauce or some sort.

We enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at Latitudes! From the parking lot it looked more like a high end shopping center. once inside the walls are filled with beautiful artwork that you can purchase. We dined in the bar area and were seated at a bar height table. (we did make reservations and this was the only space available for 6 on a Friday night. It was comfortable and we had plenty of room. I started with an appetizer of shrimp rolls that were absolutely amazing. The shrimp rolls (4) were very light, long, and wrapped in rice paper served with a delicious orange dipping sauce. It was a perfect appetizer for two. I enjoyed two cocktails during the evening, the Evilina. The drink was a thick puréed strawberry margarita with a slight kick of jalapeno at the end. For dinner, I ordered one of the specials of the night. (Valentines weekend). My entrée consisted of beef tenderloin topped with crab meat two deep fried asparagus, mashed potatoes and squash. The steak was cooked perfectly and was extremely tender and it melted in my mouth. Everything tasted absolutely perfect. Next time. I'm in Rockport. I can't wait to go back and try different appetizers, drinks, and entrées. Oh, our server Raylynn was knowledgeable, friendly, and super fast service.

Entrance into the restaurant. Artwork for sale cheers the restaurant walls!

Adorable, seaside rustic decor, light and airy. The blackberry margarita was fabulous! We ended the night with crème Brûlée that was had a perfectly crunchy sugar crust. My blackened chicken with crawfish cream sauce was well prepared and flavorful. The server was accommodating for our special requests.

Wonderful dining with excellent meal and drink options...

Best restaurant in town to enjoy a wonderful dinner. We always enjoy family dinners or holidays here.

Our go to for a nice meal in Rockport. Cheery, attentive service paired with gulf fresh seafood *chef's kiss. Highly recommend!

Latitude is a cute restaurant and the servers are nice but unfortunately my food wasn't the best. We started off with bread, crab cakes and oysters - everyone enjoyed. For main dish most of my table ordered the drum (catch of the day) or snapper and loved it but my pasta had no flavor whatsoever. It was almost as if they just boiled noodles and put them in a bowl. I had to add a side of the lemon butter caper sauce that came with the fish for more flavor. The drinks are good and the bar is fast but next time I'd get something else.

Extremely friendly staff. Great cozy/romantic atmosphere. Amazing food and drinks with great pricing!!

    Chicken Florentine

1 Star -- If bland had a flavor, this place would bottle it and sell it for $30 a plate. - This place is charging five-star prices for food with zero-star flavor. My Chicken Florentine was so bland it could put salt to sleep. The spinach was mushy like baby food, "seasoned" with nothing but paprika -- not a grain of salt in sight. The orzo rice? Slimy, sour lemon goo, like they used citrus to distract from the fact it has no taste at all. The shrimp linguine pasta was just as bad -- like eating plain noodles in hot water. - The ONLY thing worth eating were the appetizers -- the shrimp rolls and crabcakes were amazing. Honestly, I should've just ordered ten plates of those and skipped the entrées entirely. - When your entrée makes you wish you had just stuck to appetizers, that's a problem. Beautiful plating can't hide the fact that the food had no seasoning, no flavor, and no value for the price. - Summary: Only the appetizers had flavor -- the entrées were overpriced, under-seasoned, and unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

Not accessible via wheelchair or stroller, unfortunately. I adore little art shops like this one! So glad I popped inside on a whim. They've got a variety of art from local artists, working in diverse styles. Saw a few interesting pieces and took home a lovely wooden wall hanging from an Austin artist. Don't miss the cookies at the check-out counter (vegan and gluten-free and delicious). The London Fog was yummy (I'm a fan of the drink but it's a cookie flavor I've never encountered). Owner (Danya) was so sweet and welcoming. She gave my daughter a sticker (they're not free) so I really appreciated that. Now, I do need to mention that you've got to climb some stairs to enter. So unfortunately it's not accessible to folks in wheelchairs or anyone looking to bring their baby stroller. I believe owners are trying to rectify this -- it's quite an endeavor so don't hold it against them. If you have a stroller, I recommend leaving it outside and just carrying your kid (don't let them run free if they're handsy -- lots of fragile and breakable stuff in here). You can also carry the stroller up the stairs (the owner even offered to help us do this but it was easier to just leave it). We left our wagon stroller outside and watched my 3.5-year-old closely while I carried my 22-month-old. Worked out just fine.

They focus on wildlife photography of animals around the Texas Coastal Bend. They do a really cool technique where they print the photos on metal, so it has a timeless, permanent look to it, with a metallic sheen to it that makes the colors on the birds and other wildlife just pop! They have a whole gallery here in the Arts District of Rockport. They show off a bunch of other cool, local crafts and stuff for your home. Keep an eye out for all the wind spinners out in front of the place. They'll get your home transformed into a Texas beach house in no time! The gallery staff is quite friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable, considering the time and effort that goes into each of these photos, and the process of printing them on metal. When asked how the photographer gets some of these incredible shots, she always responds, "Patience, luck and a little magic is the key to my success." Parking is usually pretty easy at this gallery, and they have park benches out in the shade, where you can watch the traffic go by, and adjust to beach time. It's a wonderful place where there's plenty of shade out front, with a good breeze that powers all of the wind spinners out front. I suggest you check it out!
