Good: had the Catfish and shrimp, fried oysters. Amazing. Service : friendly staff Ambiance: cozy kick back restaurant. Perfect to beat the heat and get amazing Service and Food !!

A Find! With a capital A! One of those out of left field, unexpected, slap you upside the head rare finds. Based on outward appearance only, this is the kind of place I would drive by without thinking twice. However, a great example of Yelp actually working to find good food prevailed. Local, newish and hole in the wall, aren't mutually exclusive in this case. The feel of an abandoned Asian restaurant hermit crabed and reincarnated as a magnificent go to Gulf Coast seafood spot. Great selection of locally caught fish and shrimp prepared fried, broiled stuffed, grilled. You name it. Add fresh delicious sides and you end up with an unexpected Wow! experience. As y'all know,Guy H. doesn't hand out 5 stars Willie Nillie. Believe me, Nemos deserved it today ! Thanks Nemo! Go!

Coconut Shrimp

I had the coconut shrimp and fries plus slaw. The shrimp were huge and very tasty. And I loved the dipping sauce. I had enough to take home for another meal. The fries were better than average but the slaw had huge pieces that I could not chew. The waitress was very nice and fast.

Cup of Gumbo!

First time in and overall service was good! Kuddos to Sam....the cup of Gumbo was one of the best I've tasted actually, hope that continues...I ordered the Grilled Salmon combo, the sides, including the coleslaw was good! Tangy & sweet...the Salmon was a little overcooked but did the job, I'd recommend it!

Coconut shrimp - amazing Fries - good Coleslaw - meh Crab cakes - skip Catfish - fine Creamed corn - neh

Food that was good was delicious! Recommend ordering the coconut shrimp and catfish. Fries are yummy, say no to crab cakes, creamed corn, and coleslaw. They needed more waiters here but if fully staffed it would be great. The waiters that were there tried their best with the dinner crowd. Mom and pop feel

We are usually Port A kind of people but decided to stay at Rockport this time around. When you're by the coast, most people want fresh seafood! Based on everyone's review, this seemed like the most logical choice around the area. Don't let the location fool you. We were a bit skeptical because it was part of a shopping center but there didn't seem to be any good local seafood restaurants near by. Walking in on Saturday around 4:30p.m, it wasn't too crowded (it did pick up about an hour later). It was clean and we were greeted immediately. They had a lot of staff on hand! Our waitress was incredibly kind and patient. She was very attentive too during service. What we ordered: - Fried calamari: they are freshly made (didn't seem frozen) and my kids (age 9 & 12) devoured them. They weren't rubbery like some could be but soft and fried perfectly. - Egg rolls: yes I know. Egg rolls?? At a seafood restaurant. Trust me, we were perplexed along with some Asian dishes they had on the menu! However, these are a must order!!! They were stuffed, seasoned and fried to perfection! The wrapping was more of a lumpia wrapping in my experience more than an actual wonton wrapper which gave it a lighter more crispier texture. They served it with sweet chili sauce and it was so good! A weird combination of seafood and pork egg rolls but very good!!! - 1lb snow crab boil: my daughter loves crab! You can get it spicy or none. We opted for spicy because we were told it was more like Cajun seasoning (e.g. slap ya mama) which my daughter can handle. While all of us were already served and eating, my daughter had to wait a bit longer for it because they were making it fresh. It came out piping hot. The amount of crab was correct but the Cajun flavor had a very distinct seasoning in it. It was over powered by what we believe was cinnamon. A very unusual flavor for Cajun, in my opinion. It was a hit off putting after you ate quite a bit of it. I'm not sure if the snow crabs were boiled in a salt water mixture, but the meat of the crab, without the seasoning, was overly salty. My daughter tried rinsing it with water and it didn't help. We've eaten crab more times than we can count and we've never experienced overt salt crab! This is the one dish we wouldnt reorder. - Mahi Mahi (blackened): I'm assuming they don't do blackened because when asked, we were told because it was a bit slow, the kitchen can accommodate. The fish was cooked good. It wasn't dry, it didn't have a fishy taste to it and it was seasoned well! My husband and son loved it! It comes with three jumbo shrimp and these were cooked and seasoned to perfection as well! The seasoning on these plates were on point! - Stuffed Flounder: the flounder had a crab mix stuffed in it and it was delicious! Grilled to perfection and heavily seasoned just right!! I would definitely order this again!! This dish also comes with three jumbo shrimp which were delicious! Sides: - braised cabbage: so incredibly good, cooked and seasoned perfectly!! No salt or additional seasonings needed! We were surprised at this side dish!! Buttery and yummy all in one! - French fries: they seemed to be battered slightly. They were seasoned and fried perfectly! A great crunch! No soggy potatoes! - baked potato: mine was slightly undercooked but still good. Hard to mess up a potato other than under/over cooking it! While we didn't care for the boil's seasoning, I would still highly recommend it! The food was so good and most everything was seasoned perfectly! We were pleasantly surprised! The food came out very fast too! We didn't wait long aside from the boil. If this is where the local's go, you know it's good! We will definitely come back if we come to Rockport again!

What a little gem of a place! The fried pickles were delicious! The shrimp and crawfish were decent but personally I need more flavor and they didn't have much. The service was amazing and Jenny was super nice and friendly!!! We would give them another try?

Lobster Bisque - THE best!!! With nice bits of lobster in this creamy, so delicious soup!
J. V.

Last night we had the most delicious takeout food: Fried shrimp and my husband had the Chicken Fried Chicken. Both delicious! We saw so many fab dishes on their menu so we ordered lunch to go again. Today had probably THE best Lobster Bisque soup we've both ever had plus the Shrimp Fried Rice and the Egg Rolls, both scrumptious!. OMG its our new fave go to spot when in Rockport!

Sherman O.

A nice little seafood restaurant there in Rockport friendly staff good tasting food felt like the clam chatter was sweet versus creamy and the gumbo was the same kind of red/brown gumbo that I'm familiar with but still taste. Decent salmon and shrimp were delicious. That's why I give the food four stars out of five feel like there can be improvements onthe clam chowder in the gumbo. Sam was a slightly dry, but definitely would recommend would go back.

Or not but whoever she is, she's wonderful. We got ice cream, fudge, and truffles! All so good my pregnant heart was content. She was so gracious with samples and understood that sometimes when you're pregnant you think you want something and then it's awful. She even wanted to ensure that I sampled some of the fudged before committing. So kind! And not to mention she read the ingredients of the fudges and truffles to me so I could ensure I wouldn't get any I was allergic to. Extra mile points. The ice cream is Bluebell and the variety of flavors they have are GREAT! You can simply check the Bluebell site for which ones are gluten free which I did. We're heading back over from Port A, yes that's how great the service is in comparison to places on the island, to come here again.

Good service and relaxing atmosphere…read more Service and atmosphere: As mentioned above haha. Our server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good seaside vibe. There are plenty of seating options on the patio where they also have opened bar area. The restaurant can accommodate many guests inside too. Food and drinks: Good selection of seafood dishes. I opted for wild caught salmon. The fish was cooked and seasoned well. We also chose sandwich with crab which was equally tasty. They offer great variety of cocktails. Pricing: $$ - definitely not overpriced and worth it.

Disgusting Kitchen Standards & An Absolute Joke of a "Discount"…read moreLet me start by saying our waitress was awesome. She was attentive, polite, and this 1-star review has absolutely nothing to do with her. This is entirely on management and the kitchen staff. We came in as a party of four and ordered appetizers. As soon as they hit the table, we pulled out two long hairs--one in each appetizer--right in front of our waitress. She was visibly startled and asked what she could do. Trying to be understanding guests, we told her not to worry, and she apologized and said she'd speak to the Back of House. When the main courses arrived, the food was okay, though it seriously lacked flavor and desperately needed salt. But the real insult came when the bill arrived. Since we had actual hair served in our food, we politely asked our waitress if a discount could be applied. She apologized, mentioned she hadn't been sure how to handle it initially, and went to speak to the manager. After a long wait, she came back with a "discounted" bill. The original total was $179 and change. The manager's grand gesture of a discount brought it down to $173 and change. But here is the absolute kicker: because we paid with a card, they tacked on debit card fees that brought the final total right back up to $179. Where the hell is the actual discount? In this day and age, almost no one carries cash. Sneaking in extra card fees to completely wipe out a "complimentary" discount for serving us hair is cheap, manipulative, and terrible business. If you're going to charge card fees, embed them in the food prices like a reputable establishment. Between whoever is cooking in the back without a hairnet and a management team that thinks a net-zero "discount" fixes serving unsanitary food, we will absolutely never be back. Step up your hygiene and your management standards.

Charlotte Plummer's has a great waterfront setting, but my experience landed somewhere in the…read moremiddle. The salad bar was just okay, and the dressing selection was surprisingly limited. There wasn't a single vegan‑friendly option--no balsamic, no simple oil‑and‑vinegar--so that part definitely missed the mark. They also charge full price for the all‑you‑can‑eat salad bar even if you only want one plate. I thought that was a bit silly, but rules are rules. I also tried their blue mimosa, which was new on the menu. It didn't taste any different from a regular mimosa, so I'm pretty sure it was just champagne with blue curaçao for color. Fun to look at, but nothing special flavor‑wise. On the positive side, everyone in my group who ordered seafood was thrilled. My friend's coconut shrimp was cooked perfectly--crispy, not greasy, and with just the right amount of coconut so it wasn't overwhelming. Several people at our table ordered the crab cakes, and they all raved about how good they were. Overall, the seafood seems to be the star here, but the salad bar and drink execution could use some attention.

Until a few years ago, entrees came with your choice of soup or salad bar. Now, you must chose between soup and gumbo and if you want a salad bar, it will cost you an addition $5.99. I would be surprised if the salad bar plate is larger than 5" in diameter. The salad bar was one of the main attractions. Tonight, the dressing was warm, the croutons were stale, and salad-bar staples like boiled egg and cheese are now noticeably absent. Garnish on my fried shrimp plate was a laughable sliver of wilted green-leaf lettuce and a lime wedge so small it only lasted for 2 shrimp. I looked through the reviews to see if I was the only regular who felt this way; unfortunately, I am not.
