*** Vegetarian Review *** Walking the campus grid. I was a little hungry to start my walk, but when I walked by Latitude and the door opened, I caved into my cravings. Been wanting to go here for at least 5 years so today is the day. Seating is outside only, but students and non-students can partake. Hawaiian BBQ Station Teriyaki Tofu plate with 1/2 white and brown rice. Super happy the mac salad is also vegetarian. The teriyaki can be a bit heavy handed so if you don't like a lot of sauce, ask for it SOS (sauce on the side). The tofu were small cubes with a lot of texture to the outside. All of the items were very nicely prepared. Haven't had mac salad in so long because most include crab. Thanks for keeping it veggie. The tofu was placed on a bed of cabbage so feel good about eating your veggies. The other side of Latitude is buffet style for $17.99. Pretty good deal, but not many vegetarian selections on the most recent menu. I would definitely come back. read more

Wanted a quick meal so I stopped by the market to get a poke bowl! I got the smaller size which was $13.99. While there's a smaller selection of seafood, I appreciate that they have watermelon poke and tofu as non-meat options! There is also a great variety of toppings, bases, and sauces which I appreciated. Overall, a yummy and convenient bowl that kept me full! read more

Food is good but repetitive aka andino bowls and shawarma plates. Everything is flavorful but I'd say the most lacking is the shawarma, some people can't stand the taste and the naan/rice is always hard. Also if they have a unique vietnamese dish or something 99% of the time it'll taste like sweet dill pickle juice. I suggest going in between hours and not at the hour or right before or right after the hour. Classes are usually over at 50 mins past or on the hour so many students will be waiting in line. Food is good, go to for quick service would be on the market. Poke or Hawaiian bbq. In pic: 6 oz Poke bowl with CA roll and Shrimp, Jalapeno, red onion, cucumber, kimchi, masago, krab, and micro cilantro. Sauce: Umami soy glaze and creamy siracha with a salad base. Toppings: Togarashi, chili oil, crunchy garlic/onion, and nori Poke: size options are 4oz or 6oz, the protein being the only weighed part. This review is for Latitude Market. The DC (dining commons) is nice too, but I have not been since I graduated. More specifically, this review is for the Poke Bowl. Their poke bowl is one of the best poke bowls I've ever had. If not best, then one of the more unique ones. They only have one option for fish, tuna, but it is seriously awesome and fresh tuna. I was extremely surprised by the wonderful quality of the tuna. You can also choose shrimp and imitation crab. I usually do a mix of tuna and shrimp. What really makes this poke bowl shine is the sauce, toppings, Wonton chips, and plentiful amount of food!!! The amount of food is pretty awesome for its price (probably because there is less fish than normal?), and the sauces pair really well with the umami toppings. The Wonton chips are very well seasoned, and really complete this poke bowl as a whole for me. I cannot wait to come back here and eat the poke bowl. This is one thing I will definitely miss about Davis. If you're a student, Latitude Market is also a great place to come for more unique snacks, or a quick bite to eat. I'm sure it'll be awesome when operations open up more. Their smoothies and food selection are great too! But I'm really passionate about their poke bowl and wonton chips!! Delicious! I ate here for the first time yesterday and had to try everything. Absolutely everything was delicious. I was very impressed with the attention to detail of each dish. The chicken shawarma was wonderful, and the falafel was very authentic. The carne asada bowl was fantastic, and I was shocked that they offered fresh chicharrones! I ate a whole bowl full. I will definitely return to this restaurant. I can't wait to see what international delights they will feature. read more

They're open with limited hours during the summer of Covid. I went to the grab-n-go side just to see what they had to offer. They had a good selection of snacks and drinks, some inexpensive lunch snacks like the crackers and chicken salad kits. Great selection of nuts They do have premade breakfast sandwiches and burritos that they can heat for you. There's lunch sandwiches and wraps too, premade and made-to-order that cost about $5-$7. I was very happy with the selection of cuisines for 14 dollars! As a student who is not wanting to spend too much, but sometimes craves a buffet style meal--I'm so glad UCD created this atmosphere! I went for lunch, where they served Greek food, burrito bowls, and a selection of other food items. On the website you are able to check the menu they will be serving before going in. The facilities are peaceful to eat in and immaculately clean! All you have to do is stick your dirty plates on a rotating dish washer once you finish eating. I asked the people serving the food if the sauce they put on the fries had sesame in it and they said no. I took one bite and had a complete allergic reaction. I am fasting Ramadan and when I finally come to eat this happens after I specifically asked if it had sesame. I was unable to eat afterwards because my throat completely closed up. read more

Heather Made the best pasta Ive had in a long time. For the most part the staff are friendly except for the chef in charge of the middle section soup area.
