My haircut... it's pretty bad I'll be going to another salon to get it fixed.... It's uneven & not even in the realm close to what I asked for. I asked for a long layered 90's bob, & while I definitely have shorter hair, with a really short back of my head... (like a reverse V) it's definitely not a long layered 90's bob. I learned my lesson, but please hear it from me to GO ANYWHERE ELSE! The gal I was nice, and it was a fun experience, & I appreciated her humor, I just regret listening to the Wilsonville ad and trusting that this was a great place to go. (This haircut is really really bad...) I should also add, I'm not mad, it's really funny, and a HUGE lesson to not go to a salon without a personal invite from someone I trust. I love this place. Cute decor, great products and Kelsey! She took my fried brassy garbage hair and worked magic. I am so impressed. She also took time to talk to me honestly about what I wanted and how to get there the healthiest way for my hair. Sometimes it's hard to try someone new for hair but she's a pro. Plus, if you looooove having your hair washed she is fabulous. I highly recommend it. Great service, perfectly priced, worth every penny. I'm a repeat customer from now on. UPDATE!!! Still in love! Kelsey revamped my blonde locked and I have been rockin the short cute cut! Found my own color cut combo perfect for my current look. Changing things up with a stylist I trust has been so nice. This is a review from my visit in April. I had been wanting to come here for some time when I saw a groupon for a cut and partial. I can't remember the name of the lady that did my hair, but both ladies were very nice and we had good conversation (and I don't usually like talking to the hairstylist). She made sure she really understood what I wanted with my haircut and color. I wanted a really natural looking highlight nothing too light or too chunky. My hair color turned out great. I found L'Attrait on Yelp and when I looked at some of the reviews I went to their website, found a hairstylist, Chanel, and made an appointment. Really disappointed. This place has such good reviews, so I tried calling to see if I could get an appointment but it ended up going to voicemail. I saw that it says Walk-In's Welcome here, so I decided to just drive up and see if they could fit me in. I walked in and stood there for five minutes with no acknowledgement. There was a stylist literally a few feet from me talking with another client and somehow saying hello or anything for that matter was too hard. Even when the Mom was taking before pictures of her daughter's hair and she was just staring at her phone. I turned to walk out and no one said anything to me still. Went here for my first facial I've ever had by Ashley and it was amazing! She was so kind and asked me questions about my skin and I told her how it has been abnormally oily lately and applied products to help with my skin! Not only did I get a fantastic and relaxing facial for my first time but she also gave me a mini hand and shoulder massage which was awesome! Unfortunely I would rate this experience a 5 but I also came here to get my hair done for the first time as well, everything came out perfectly fine and the way I wanted which was great but please tell Ashleigh she is way too rough with people's hair. The washing and brushing..so much tugging it really hurt but I didn't want to say anything but she really needs to know. I noticed another review that says she was rough as well. The stylist was unfriendly when I walked in. No greeting. Made odd comments about my curly hair. Made a comment about how her hair and mine are very different in a condescending tone. Area was dusty with remnants of previous client's hair. Others in the salon, could have been clients, were trashing the governor's mandates. Made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. During this pandemic I understand it's a stressful time, however, one of your clients could have an underlying health condition, or could had loved ones impacted by COVID. I've been going to L'Attrait for about a year now and I LOVE IT!! It's a cute little salon with a great group of stylists. I started going to Kelsey and I never looked back. She does all sorts of different things to my hair and really listens when I want to change things up. She puts her input when I need it. I've never been disappointed with any of the services that I've received from her. I'm a bit of a hair snob and not the easiest client but she always puts that at ease. What I loved about my visit was that I was sent clear instructions on what I needed to do before getting there with all the New Covid regulation that salons have to follow. My sister and I had heard of this salon from a friend, and had been interested to check it for a while. Today, our work schedules finally aligned, so we went in hopes of a fun and relaxing self-care day. However, our time at L'Attrait salon could not have been further from our hopes. The staff was not friendly, and what was most hurtful was the staff's treatment of my sister's curly hair when she got a cut. She did not ever ask for a thinning, yet they did so without her permission. This salon does not know how to handle natural hair -- especially ethnic hair. Their staff is under-qualified, and they do not care about the wants or well-being of their customers. The disrespect we encountered today is a lasting one; my sister's hair will take months to be restored to a healthy state. read more

I'd only recommend this salon if you want to feel unwelcome and stupid. I was happy to be fit in for a next-day appointment with the owner, Andrea. My regular stylist of ten years moved out of state and I desperately needed a new stylist and haircut. Andrea made NO mention on the phone of the salon's covid protocols, that I should be expecting a text message with instructions, etc. -- I didn't realize those form instructions were buried in a confirming text message. Of course, upon arrival I was wearing the required mask, but I was not greeted and barely shown where an acceptable place was for me to sit and wait. Andrea proceeded to comment to another customer about my confusion without ever saying hello or that she'd be with me when she could. I waited patiently for 20 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to begin before she pointed me to her station. I don't care that she was late, but I was surprised that my appointment could be with this person after what had just occurred. Needless to say, there was a serious disconnect that was somehow my fault. read more

I'm writing this review from inside the salon. I took my 14 year old daughter here to get a back to school haircut. She's super excited to be starting high school and was also super excited for her new cut. I'm 46 years old with 3 daughters. I've been in a lot of salons in my life. I have never sat in a salon with a more uncomfortable, unwelcoming atmosphere. It's completely silent. No one is talking or friendly. We weren't greeted when we came in. The woman just said "she's we me" when I gave her name. As she cuts her hair, there's not a single, "How are you?" What brings you in today?" or similar socially polite comment you would expect from someone in the service industry. It's bizarre. I have never in my life not tipped someone in service. But I am sorely tempted to today. I was a waitress. I understand bad days and such. But this beyond rude. We were looking for a new salon closer to home but I guess we'll keep driving out to our old one. read more

I was looking for a new stylist because my current one was unavailable during this Covid crisis. I decided to give this place a shot. I booked an appointment online. When I arrived, I was barely greeted. I work in healthcare and know some people just have bad days. I was comfortable with starting a conversation and being friendly, it took a while for Brianna to engage. I asked for an A-line Lob. She proceeded to cut my hair. After she was finished with the cut, my hair it was really thick at the ends. I asked if she could thin it out a little bit. This is where her attitude changed. I think I may have offended her, as she was grabbing huge sections of my hair and chop, chop, chop, with her attitude and posture. It's been a few weeks and my hair has grown out. I can see where it's uneven and choppy on the right side. I gave her a generous tip too feeling bad to have offended her some how. Guess kindness didn't go far on this one. Moving forward, I wanted to put an honest review out there. I had expectations of the quality and service but was highly DISAPPOINTED. I do not have enough nice things to say about L'attrait Salon, specifically the stylist, Shelby. She is phenomenal!!! I had recently gotten my hair done at a local salon and asked for an ombre. After two sessions, I had orange highlights (I have dark brown hair). I was devastated! I went a week with this look before stumbling upon an ad in the paper for L'attrait Salon. I called on a Tuesday & Shelby was able to get me in the very next day. In just one session (she even stayed AFTER the shop had closed) she gave me the exact ombre look I was going for. It's been a month since getting it done & to this very day, I still get compliments on my hair. Each time I do, I always, always recommend Shelby. Thank u so much, L'attrait Salon! Warning do not go to this place! I expected to leave looking better than I walked in. They did not listen to what I wanted. Ínstead, they did what they wanted and what they thought would look good. I left feeling so depressed. Sadly, my daughter went to this Salon before I had a chance to warn her. The same thing happened to her. She told them she wanted layers to frame her face. So bummed. Bought a Groupon for this place because reviews looked okay. I should've sensed a problem when I called to make an appointment and they said they could get me in the next day at 4 PM. I got a call a short time later saying that her schedule had "cleared up" and she could get me in basically anytime I wanted instead of waiting until afternoon. Uh oh... The stylist was nice but focused on the fact that I let my natural curls show 1-2 days a week....even though I blow it dry 5-6 days a week. She 'layered' the heck out of my hair so now when I blow it out it looks totally chopped up. She gave me bangs (not sure why I said yes to that!) that were cut too short. They're elementary school bangs.... So terrible. You know it's bad when your husband, who NEVER notices a haircut, walks in and says, "Oh...uh.... So...how do you like your haircut?" Yeah....not good. Two stars for this review because there are multiple stylists there...think I just got the wrong one. read more

Very unimpressed. I went in to get my hair colored and Ashleigh didn't even give me the color I asked for. So I went in a week later to have her fix it and she said I was wasting her time and made the back of my head way brighter than the sides. She then told me I had to pay another $35 when I had already paid her $85 for the color I didn't even want. When I told her I didn't want to pay another $35 she started yanking on my hair harder and got snippy with me. Never going there again and I do not recommend Ashleigh at all. read more

I cames to this salon because it was close to my home. Andrea greeted me upon entering and we set up an appointment for cut and color. She qualified me as to what I was looking to achieve, and although I was quite vague about what I actually did want, she kept asking questions and we figured out that my main goal was an effortless style and a color that wouldn't have me returning for a touch up every month. It took me a few days to be comfortable with my new look, but now I just love it! The color is so natural that not many people noticed at first, which is exactly what I was looking for, and the cut was simple yet complementary to my face and my lifestyle. This salon damaged my natural curly hair! I called in advance to ask if they had anyone with experience cutting curly hair. They told me that they had someone with 40 years of experience so I booked an appointment. When I went in, I specifically explained that I wanted to cut my hair in layers to enhance my curls and just wanted it to look healthier. I NEVER ask for it to be thinned. She faced the chair sideways so I was not facing the mirror. Therefore, I couldn't see what she was doing. Halfway through the haircut I could feel her scraping at the ends of my hair. I asked what she was doing and she explained that she was thinning my hair instead of doing the layers I asked for!! It was too late to do anything about it. I love my THICK curly hair. It's been years since I've had it thinned because any curly hair expert knows that it is SO damaging to curls. This practice is something that stems from the bias society has towards straight thin hair. When she asked what products I use on my hair, I told her DevaCurl. One lady in the salon said they didn't carry DevaCurl in their salon because they require you to attend a training to learn how to use the products. Little did they know that I have attended a book signing by the creator of DevaCurl products, Lorraine Massey. She, along with many curly hair experts, strongly oppose the practice of thinning curly hair! This salon should attend the DevaCurl training before ever claiming to be experts in cutting curly hair again! read more

It has been 9 months since I first came to this salon and I have been a loyal customer since. The staff is great and Catherine really knows her stuff! I went in a few weeks ago and wanted something adventurous and I told Catherine "lets add some color". So she gave me her pallets of color and I said "what about pinks or purples?" She was pleasantly surprised and had a whole other plethora of colors for me to chose from. I went with purple and to make it "pop" even more she mixed magenta and purple so it would be vibrant and stand out. Boy was she right, I have received compliment after compliment on how awesome this color is and its all because of her! If you want a new look, basic cut or color she is your girl! read more

It's taken me a bit to write this review as I have not been able to express how grateful I am to Sara Brown who did a complete color correction to my hair. She has made me feel like a new person and I feel that I have gained back some sense of who I am due to her hair make-over. After going through a rough spot in my relationship I feel I stopped taking care of my hair and lost who I was. I was a very dark brown (almost black) and had been told in the past by my previous hair dresser of 5 years that I could not have the lighter golden brown I truly desired because it would come out with orange tones. Not the case. Sara took her time to understand what I wanted and made it possible. I cannot express the amount of happiness when I left her salon. I can tell you I teared up with relief knowing that someone cared enough about me to put the time and effort into making my wishful appearance come true. I live in North Portland and I work in Wilsonville, however Sara is my new hairdresser and no matter where my career takes me, I will drive over mountains and valleys for her to perform her magic. I've been a patron ever since L'Attrait opened and will not let anyone else touch my hair or face! All the girls are amazing at both styling hair, they even have Andrea who specializes in ethnic hair, and Lily who is a master stylist. I've had both work on my hair and have not been disappointed. I also had waxing done by Jessica and Jaimie (the owner) and left without looking like a raccoon, something I have had happen everywhere else. Jaimie has also done my makeup multiple times, and i absolutely love it, every time! She use makeup that does not cause my sensitive skin to break out. Amazing staff and awesome service! read more

I have curly hair, and am very very attached to my locks. With this I am very picky about who I let cut my hair--i sometimes get so picky that I go over a year before I finally decide to let someone work on it. I decided to try out L'Atrait Salon and had Ashleigh cut and ombre my hair. Oh my word, she is a miracle worker and was so friendly. The transition from the brown to lighter brown to blonde was so smooth and not chunky at all. It was exactly what I wanted. Also she is true to how much you want cut off of your hair, none of this whole just an inch or two turning into 6 inches. I would recommend her to anyone, especially people with curly hair because I know it's hard to find a good stylist for that! read more

I moved to Wilsonville a year and a half ago and I had a little salon I loved when I lived in Salem and was getting tired of driving there whenever I wanted to do my hair so, I did some research and this place seemed like a cute little place. Carleen helped me out. I am Hispanic with dark brown hair and I was wanting some blonde chunky highlights she talked to me the whole time she did my hair, offered water. Since my hair is soooo dark it took forever to color but Carleen wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. Unfortunately since I dyed my hair black a few months ago, my ends turned caramel. Carleen reassured me that she'd make it even so she added toner to it and it turned more of a caramel color all over which was beautiful. Carleen told me that since my hair is so dark and I had dye in it that it I wanted it blonde it could damage my hair if we kept the dye in my hair longer than what I had and told me I could come back and we could try blonde once the caramel color sets in my hair for a while. I have an a line hair cut and she placed the highlights to where it really made my cut pop! I love this little salon! I made a yelp account to leave this review because it was the worst experience I have ever had with a salon in my entire life, and I dont want anyone to make the mistake I almost did. I made an appointment last week for today (9.8.15) at 12 with Christi. I call before I left to confirm and apparently I wasn't scheduled. Long story short- After a while they call me back and tell me I didn't have an appointment with Christi, the lady I talked to, but someone named Andrea was coming in to do my smoothing treatment. They all seemed really confused b/c Christi only comes in on Thursdays, but thats not what she told me. I don't know why she would think it's okay to make an appointment for me with someone else, no one has ever done that to me and her name was on the groupon description anyways. I re-schedule with the receptionist for Thursday with Christi b/c at this point I was going to be late anyways. The receptionist apologized for the confusion BUT THEN! Andrea calls me like 10 minutes later and is telling me that she charges a $25 cancelation fee. She said: "So you can pay that when you come in for your appointment with Christi". Wow. I explain to her that #1. I didn't make an appointment with her (so she should talk to Christi about that) and #2 it doesn't say anything about a cancelation fee anywhere. She hung up on me while I was in mid-sentence. I call back to cancel my appointment with the salon because I really didnt appreciate how I was being treated and would feel SUPER uncomfortable going in there. I talked to the owner...She didn't apologize or anything, which after what happened doesnt surprise me. I'm embarrassed for this salon, only a low-quality business would act this way. To me it doesnt seem like they take communication or treating their customers well seriously whatsoever. Super disappointing. Good luck with your business. read more

Chanel colored my hair and it is ruined. Absolutely nothing about my hair is what I asked for and the next day it was literally MELTING off. I warned her my hair had been permed a week prior and I needed advice on fixing the color but told her I was scared to damage it and that I needed her expert advice. She insisted my hair was perfectly fine and resilient. She was confident she could fix it and left me under a dryer with bleach on my hair while she gave another client a haircut and blow-dry. During this time she never even checked my hair! When she was done it was not what I asked for but I didn't want to be rude and figured well maybe it's better than what I started with. Plus she said "well it's a step in the right direction", Acknowledging it was not what I wanted. I was also out of time so I had to leave. I paid and I tipped her. Two days later I text her that my hair is melting off and she said "oh that's too bad". I then asked her what to do and she told me I could go buy more products.. Salon quality shampoo and conditioner, and some hair mask treatments. Great, so now I have to go invest in the hair that SHE ruined! Did not offer to refund me or fix anything knowing it was not the look I paid for. I am at a total loss... I asked for dark roots (purple dark brown base color) and subtle balayage with purple and mauve. What I ended up with is Auburn base color (that I absolutely hate) and brassy yellow highlights everywhere. It is awful!! I am so depressed. I cannot afford to go to anymore salons. In fact I am done with all of them!! All they do is ruin my hair! Now what? Cut it all off??! If you don't have experience coloring hair and fixing hair, don't pretend you do! And if you mess up the least you can do is refund me! I am so so disappointed .. read more
