Service requested: to go blonde from a faded red color. I had ginger red hair at the start. Quality: meh. I was told the developer used at Artizan was the wrong kind. If shouldnt have been used to cancel out the red undertones in my hair. I really enjoyed the person who did my hair here. The quality just wasn't worth the price personally. It was cute, but it wasn't enough for me to come back again. I scheduled 2 appointments, and I still wasn't any where close to being a blonde. At savvy it was achieved in one appointment.?? Both I and my husband love coming here to have Farzana cut our hair! I have curly hair and she always does an excellent job. Not everyone knows how to cut and style it. So it's great to find someone who does! My husband only trusts Farzana to cut his hair now after a fiasco at SportsClips and then her brilliant re-styling. I was wary after the last professional coloring left my hair brassy and orange. Farzana not only corrected it, but gave me the color I've been wanting all along. 8/2019: so it's been a couple of years and I am still a loyal customer of Artizan. There have been some staffing changes and the service quality keeps getting better (not that there was any need for improvement). The recent hires of Anthony and Angelina have been exceptional. These professional embody the same sensibility that Farzana has cultivated. My hair is healthier than its ever been and I continue to be surprised by the care and attention I receive each time I cross ArtiZan's threshold. Invitingly serene, my latest treatment left my hair and mind renewed. I have added brow threading to my regular services (I am allergic to wax). It would be a lie to say it's enjoyable but I will say that Farzana's technique is the least painful I've experienced and I have no redness when she is done. Pictures are worth 1000 words so I am including a before and after. Keep in mind I had 10 weeks between my appointments so the growout was pretty terrible. That said, my highlights are perfect and you cannot see any inconsistency in my color. Farzana is just that good! Walking in from a commercial shopping area, I was not expecting the peaceful and serene salon beyond the entry. Each element, from the flooring and beautiful styling stations, lightly scented candles burning to the well appointed washing station, cumulated to transport me far away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Farzana greeted me warmly, not in the way a typical commercial salon would - but rather as the way you'd expect when you walk into someone's home for the first time. My fears of going to a new salon were immediately qwelled. I know I am not an expert on hair styling and products, so I don't typically start with describing what I want. Despite not having the vocabulary to describe the style I want, Farzana quickly assessed my hair and made recommendations that included LESS product/coloring than I had previously been using (at another Aveda location). My time with Farzana flew by as she transformed my hair from a shapeless kaleidoscope of color to a natural frame to fomy face. Previously I had been encouraged to use both low lights and highlights. Farzana chose to build on my natural hair color rather than mask it. By the time I stood up, I felt renewed both internally and externally. The care, genuine interest and her deft skill with enhancing ones natural beauty is unprecedented. I cannot wait to go visit Farzana again! read more

I cannot believe the owner's comment about my review of her salon. Rather than just (fake) apologizing and be done. She decides to make it seem like I am the most difficult person. You noticed she doesn't mention the restaurants name that I alleged left a one star review on. That's bc I did not go to anywhere to eat or leave another Yelp review as mentioned in her comment bc I had to go straight back to work after leaving her salon. Bc I called and made an appointment with the coupon, it had to be within certain hours, basically the none busy hours for her. When I got there and was told that the coupon wasn't valid I wanted to leave to reschedule for a better time if I'm going to be paying full price. Obvi that didn't happen for the reason stated in the previous review. I explained to her what I wanted on the phone, mentioning the coupon, she didn't say anything about what it didn't cover and made a hasty appointment to go in first. Basically this lady uses fake coupons and groupons (read other reviews) to get you into her salon, then give you a reason why the discounted price is not available, then tries to halt your first amendment rights by threatening you from writing honest reviews on yelp. I've been many places to get my eyebrows threaded - and this is BY FAR THE BEST! I travel 40 minutes to get here, but it's worth it!

This was my first time here. My husband and i were looking for a closer spot to do our eyebrows. They had good reviews but really no reviews on eyebrow threading which that should have made me not want to go. I gave them a chance, the lady who did our eyebrows was nice greeted us with a smile and was excited to do our eyebrows. My husband went first, when finished he said they looked ok.now my turn i showed her a picture of exactly how i like my eyebrows. She said "i will try my best" that should have been another red flag and i should have said no thank you. Btw she's pretty rough. So she does my right eyebrow, shows it to me and I'm not happy. Looks nothing like the picture i showed her. I have a few hairs on my left eyebrow that stick up and she said that I'm going to leave if i thread it the eyebrow will be really short. Um... of course no one has every took that part off!! She is now finished with both i take a look and they have no shape no arch. Not happy but she did not charge me for my eyebrows and we only paid for my husbands. I wouldn't reccomend eyebrow threading here. read more

The owner (I believe) told me she could do exactly what I wanted, which was Auburn highlights. She starts bleaching strips of my hair, and then shows me that as if the finished product? I looked like a tiger, and told her I expected darker and red. She added some toner which made it a bit better... But still nowhere near what I asked for. There were only 2 stylists in the salon, Farzana invited more people in to service than she could handle. She was constantly on the phone, had no stylist certifications posted anywhere, and was always yelling at her sweet assistant, Linda. Linda, you deserve better! read more
