I've been going to this place for years and even though I moved out of the neighborhood years ago, I keep coming back because the staff is unmatched. I have never had to wait longer than 20 minutes to be seen (by staff and/or eye doctors), and they have always been bubbly and friendly. They are also incredibly patient (considering it always takes me a long time to choose the right frames when it's time to change my glasses) and give their opinions on which styles look better on me. I wanted to try a different place near my house, the test was not 100% because by trying on my old glasses I can see better. My insurance covers the glasses but they insist on selling you the Frames, since you don't buy the frames from them the attitude of the service changes, they show you few models for free. Which is not free because the insurance pays them the cost of the Frame, It was a bad decision to go to this place, I do not recommend it. read more

I've never gotten glasses that broke nearly so easily (and I've been wearing affordable glasses since the third grade). In fact I've never broken a pair before. With the ones I got from Vision World, I just pushed the edges in slightly to make them a little tighter on my nose, and they snapped! Will not be returning here for a new pair. read more

I had a pair of lenses to install with my which were covered by my union they changed me 65 just to install the lenses cause I bought in my own coach glasses and I did'nt even get to use them cause the lenses got all scratched up in a blink of an eye. read more

So. I went to this store after looking at other reviews and because its close to where I work (They all seem fake based on their user profiles). I was constantly pressured to upgrade/upsell on everything from lenses to frames (they were pushing harder than a car salesman), to the point of being uncomfortable. I still went ahead with the purchase because my old glasses were falling apart and I needed a new pair fast. I was promised glasses 2 days later and was told I would get a phone call. After waiting for 3 days, I called to inquire, they wanted an extra day. When I walked into the store on the 4th day to ask what was the holdup. I got dismissive attitude from everyone. My glasses were not prepared and I was asked to wait for an hour until glasses were prepared. Later, when I asked for my prescription so I can get another pair made when needed. I got the glares from everyone and had to wait another 15 minutes. Rude, tardy and high pressure sales pitch. Not coming back to this place again read more

I definitely got taken advantage of, simply because i didn't know the right terminology and they failed to point it out. I went in with an appointment expecting my insurance to cover it and that i would walk away with a pair of glasses. Save to say it didn't, the girl at the counter said I could go through the appointment but it would be out of pocket so obviously I said no thank you. As I was about to walk out it occurred to me to get my eye prescription and buy glasses online if anything. I specifically said that I want my EYE PRESCRIPTION . I asked how much it was, she said $35. Ok perfect, went it got my eyes tested ect. Got out of the room waiting to cash out, and waited some more until i just went up to them and said if i can pay my $35. A different girl from the first one was about to cash me out , when the first one that told me it was $35, said that if i want to take my prescription with me, it's gonna be $90. I asked for my prescription, yet she failed to mention that the $35 was for the eye exam. She didn't make that differentiation. If i say i want my prescription obviously it means i want to take it with me! Why would i pay for an eye exam if I'm not gonna know or see the result much less take the results with me. An older lady comes out all nice and stuff and points out a sign that specifies that term and price differentiation, that is behind the counter in small letters. I believe the sign said something along the lines that its $90 all together if you don't purchase a pair of glasses with them. This is the worst customer service, when you know what the client wants and is asking for but take advantage of them not knowing something regardless. The older lady even attempted to sell me a pair of glasses making me a "deal", making it seem like she was doing me a favor. When you don't want an upset customer, you cover all bases; you listen to what they want and still you tell them what they're getting so there is no mistakes and miscommunication. Then again they relied on that miscommunication to make $35( and even attempted to make more by trying to sell me a pair of glasse). read more

I usually don't write reviews online, but was very surprised by the couple of negative reviews here. I've had a couple lens upgrades by these guys, by far the most reasonable prices I've come upon.The staff is very friendly, Dr. Roth is knowledgable and down to earth. When I went to pick up my latest frames with new lenses added on, their kind employee Felix packed it up in a new ray ban case and cloth to keep it safe in. These guys simply care about the customer experience and you can have a good conversation with them. I picked up my glasses and tried on for adjustment. Three times and they still did not feel comfortable. Wore my old ones home and when I really looked at them later I saw how thick the lenses were. Tried wearing them the next day and the weight made ridges on my nose and had to continually push them up because of the weight. Have never had glasses like that before and have been wearing glasses for some time now. I brought them back and no one was there that could help. Received call the next day and was told that is what you get with your coverage. If you want thin lenses you have to pay for them. I was never told the lenses would be a quarter inch thick. I never had a problem like this before anywhere else. When I complained after I received them, I was told they would not know how thick they would be until they came back from the lab????? It is too late to change if you do not know what you are getting. So basically if I want thinner lenses I have to just throw them away and start again because they are not accepting any responsibility for this. warning warning, Good morning one and all my name is José Oquendo I went to Vision world for pair glasses number one the place is always empty that's a red flag but I didn't bother because I do need a pair glasses I explained to the doctor that the letters were blurry and doubled he tried to reassure me and was very confident in himself that was my vision it did not matter how many times I told him that it was blurry and doubled finally I got my glasses two days later that was too fast if you ask me the glasses he gave me the walls are around and the floor slanted to the left made another appointment went back had my eyes checked again and still he tried to reassure me I that's just the way my eyes are number one I don't see blurry number two when I look straight the walls and not crooked like with those glasses so I can not use those glasses also when I take off my glasses off everything is straight I went there with nurse Association voucher which is $100 the eye exam is $35 what happened to the rest of my money I pay $255 for pair lenses{ I took my own frames} that are not even right for me I cannot see with them so I'm out $255 plus whatever they took from the voucher warning to anyone who wants to go there avoid this place at all cause just by looking in and seeing that the place is empty is a red flag and the doctor should be a auto mechanic not an ophthalmologist that read more
