I had a highly frustrating and disappointing experience with the front desk and billing staff at this clinic. Even though my insurance provider confirmed that my visit is covered, the office staff refused to bill my insurance. They rudely insisted that I pay completely out-of-pocket on the spot just because I have a deductible.Instead of being helpful or professional, the staff was dismissive and treated me poorly when I questioned their policy. An in-network provider is supposed to file claims properly so patients get their contracted insurance rates. I am incredibly disappointed by their lack of empathy, poor customer service, and unprofessional attitude. I do not recommend coming here if you expect respectful care and honest billing practices. read more

This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences we've had. We confirmed our appointment in advance and were told our insurance was accepted. When we arrived, the person at the front desk was dismissive, rude, and wouldn't even make eye contact while speaking to us. Yesterday i called in a panic and she could hear it in my voice the receptionist got me in right away. i had a scratch in my eye, Dr Napolitano is very family friendly and super sweet when i rushed in with my kids. My daughter was a patient of Dr. Napolitano who was great and straight forward. She was switched over to the current Dr. and it has been such an unpleasant experience. We are now all of a sudden being told my daughter "needs" specific drops that are not covered by insurance. I called and spoke with both the Dr and the office manager Rosa, to ask genuine questions about these drops and the cost because why is she needing these drops all of a sudden. Dr. Napolitano would have mentioned these when my daughter was a patient of hers and seeing her for over a year. It just didn't seem right. They were both very defensive and completely disrespectful. This place took 45 days to refill my mothers prescription glasses. We filled it in early January 1st week and just picked them up this week 1st week March. Poor mom had to buy generic glasses from CVS to read! Worst part.....Follow up was poor, no call backs even after several inquiries. I purchased new (and very expensive) lenses to go along with a new prescription using my already existing frames. They were not as described and I was unable to wear them. The manager and owner, Rosa was unprofessional and verbally abusive when attempting to address the issue. I had to stop and request she speak to me in a more respectful manner over 3 times during the first few minutes of our conversation. She made me incredibly uncomfortable and I no longer felt that my frames were safe in her care as she may intentionally damage them. She was aggressive, raised her voice, spoke over me at every opportunity and conducted herself like a spoiled child who never learned how to reason with people. There was not one moment from the time we exchanged hellos that she acted in any manner that would even remotely indicate that I was conversing with someone to be described as professional or an educated business owner. I have no idea how this woman is allowed to run any business, as she clearly has no customer service ability. She would not offer any refund other than store credit-after making it clear that I would not be receiving proper care and reducing my ability to be safe and comfortable in her place of business. Please check sites like these as well a the Better Business Bureau before making expensive purchases, I'm out almost $400 and on top of that had to pay an actually reputable optometrist to fix their mistake. Absolutely deceitful. Was switched with a brand new doctor without telling me. It seems Dr. Napolitano hired a new optometrist who graduated from school 7 months ago. While she was pleasant she failed to take a full history even though I have a family history of macular degeneration and failed to notice an eye anomaly that most optometrists, in the past, noticed. Also as a union member I was offered a very small number of frames while I was told the cheapest non-union glasses were a minimum of $200. read more

The doctor is a great doctor ! I bring my father here because she's speaks Italian and it's very accommodating to my father who only speaks Italian. Last year she ordered a test for a Saturday that was rescheduled 4 different times I unfortunately took off all those times for no reason. We decided to give the office another chance I got a call to reschedule my appointment for the next day a few days later and then came to learn today the time was changed without my notice when calling the office she put me on hold to find the message stating I was told which she can not find because I was never called, I did receive the first text today with the time change so I called the office to ask why. On top of that I would've been billed 40$ if we did not show but we're not informed of the time change! My insurance is bad but I have never before gotten glasses without the edges polished. These are solid white on the outside instead of clear -- I've just never seen such an awful thing. If you're going rimless it would make sense to mention that they wouldn't be polished and the rimless effect would be useless. Someone from the office told me they 'just needed to be polished', but when I brought them back they said it wasn't covered. It definitely felt like a broken promise. The glasses took at least a week to be made and appointments are not very easy to get even for followup. Just unfortunate. read more

My review .... DONT GO HERE!!!! I find them to be very rude not helpful at all and everyone's personality is like they don't wanna be there so you coming in is a nuisance to them. I had gone to them a year ago and told them that the glasses seemed too strong they told me give it time for your eyes adjust. So I then went back to them only to then be told that I only had 30 days and I went back to them 32 days so I then had a credit of $250 I did not go back to them to get my eyes checked but I did go back for them to for fill the prescription I had gotten from another doctor so I could use up my credit. When I sat with her it worked out that I added everything I could possibly add to the glasses just to eat up the credit and I had $10 left and they would not give me the cash I had to still have $10 credit there. I'd give it negative and not 1 star if there was an option..They canceled the appointment 2 hours before the appointment and I didn't have a problem with it. But when I was trying to cancel and reschedule they are going to charge 40$! They have so many fees for services when you want contacts. They are charging copay when using medical insurance which other eye centers dont ask for. The front desk people are RUDE! When I took my daughter to another eye center for eye checkup because of my bad experience, I couldn't use her voucher anymore, apparently 20/20 claimed it without seeing the patient. I had an appointment today at 11:30. I arrived around 11:15 and I was taken care of very quickly. The place is very clean and welcoming. I like that the eyeglasses were all over the walls and anyone could look at them and try them on. My doctor saw me very quickly. She was amazing and was pleasant the entire visit. Dr. Napolitano changed my life. My vision is much better than what it was before. Informed her of the few problems I had with my vision in the last few years. She did a few tests/exams and then some more to narrow down what was my problem exactly. It has been one year since I got my prescription and I could not be more satisfied with the service. I would recommend her services. Straight forward, knowledgeable, and prompt. The store is small but they were pretty busy with a handful of customers. Did not mind the wait. Great place! I called and they got me an appointment a mere half hour later. Dr. Laing is excellent and the staff were all friendly. None of the pushy...try to sell you the highest price frames. The young lady helping us went out of her way to accommodate us and we had some laughs in the process. Dr. Liang gave me one of the best eye exams I've ever had. I will not be returning to this place. I went on a Friday for an exam. I do like the Doctor, however, I'm not sure about who manages the office. I was told my glasses would be ready the following Wednesday and THEY would call me. The next week on Friday I realized I never heard about my glasses. It's now TWO weeks. I called there and was told the called me the previous week that my glasses were in, but no answer. I said I never got a message. I was told they DO NOT leave messages? They never tried to call again either. My glasses are paid in full so there was no need to contact me? This is an outrageous excuse. They are defensive, no apology. I will go elsewhere next time where I expect to get more professional service, you should do the same. read more

My biggest gripe is not with 20/20 its with Yelp for not allowing me to give zero stars or even NEGATIVE stars. That being said I bought a moderately expensive pair of glasses here back in March and was talked into getting a "new prescription" because my old one was "no good" reluctantly I agreed .. they're the experts after all... I wanted new lenses in my old Prada frames because the old lenses were scratched and was told that I would not have a warranty if I used my old frames (a ploy to buy new frames I'm sure) ... once again I agreed albeit reluctantly... "you need lenses that are for seeing far" but I see fine... yes but not for long...don't worry you will get used to them (Ive had this same script for years‍)... anyway... $500 later and I had a new set of glasses ... I picked them up a few weeks later and wore them for a few weeks and just couldnt take it... I felt like I was cross-eyed, beside the lenses were scratched. I did not know I only had a 30 day warranty and now they want ANOTHER $400 JUAT FOR NEW LENSES!!!??? Fool me once shame on you... fool me twice.... I might be out of $500 but hopefully I can someone ELSE $500. read more

The doctor my husband and I was very nice and she took her time. But when it's time to pick out glasses, the place is a rip off. They are not honest about their prices. I was there the week before to order glasses and sunglasses, the First Lady gave me one price, when I went back a week later to actually place my order because I didn't have the time to pick anything out and I was told no problem when I return. I recently went to 20/20 eye care to upgrade my lenses b/c my prescription changed. I used my old frames b/c they were $220 Gucci frames and didn't see the need on purchasing another frame. When I went to pick up my glasses with the new lenses everything was fine except the frame was a little wide. The girl said that can be adjusted so I let her fix them. After putting the frames into the machine the frames cracked. The girl said she will try and find a similar frame that the lenses can fit into. She calls me the same day to tell me that she found a frame and they are $60 and store policy is that she can only give me a discount and it would cost me $40 for the new frame. Not only did I not like these new frames but I had to pay for them!!! After Spending nearly $500 on frames and lenses they have the nerve to charge me for a new frame after they broke my previous ones. The least they could have done is replace them with lenses of similar value and given me a very good discount or given me these cheap $60 lenses for Free. So instead of loosing $60 they lost a costumer. Actually more than one because I will never step foot in their again and neither will anyone from my family. read more

Staff confuses customer's orders and keeps very poor records. Very irresponsible. Orders are lost. And when orders are fully paid for but lost by the staff there is a NO REFUND policy even though it was a staff error and no order was put through. If you enjoy taking time off to pick up an important order that you are told is "ready for pickup" but is nowhere to be found when you arrive, this is the place for you. And if you feel confident when a staff starts laughing when you advise them that they put down the incorrect vision information on your chart then look no further and hurry on in. read more

Dr Napolitano gave a very thorough exam and even took the time to explain what type of lenses I needed and why.
