From the moment I entered the establishment, I felt that I was treated differently than other customers. The manager's demeanor toward me was cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming from the very beginning. Rather than feeling like a valued guest, I felt as though I had already been judged before any interaction even took place. Throughout my visit, several staff members were rude, unprofessional, and made me feel uncomfortable. Their attitude and treatment left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Based on the way I was treated compared with others around me, I left with the strong impression that race may have played a role in how I was treated. Whether intentional or not, the experience made me feel singled out and discriminated against. No customer should ever leave a restaurant feeling humiliated or questioning whether they were treated unfairly because of the color of their skin. Restaurants should be places where everyone is welcomed with dignity, respect, and professionalism. I chose your establishment expecting excellent food and courteous service. Instead, I left feeling disrespected, deeply disappointed, and disturbed by the overall experience. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I respectfully request that ownership investigate this incident thoroughly, review the conduct of the manager and staff on duty, and take appropriate action to ensure no other customer experiences what I did. 9:31pm 7/25/2026 My husband who's a truck driver was professionally asked to leave this establishment because he was on a phone call while eating his dinner.. Mind you there was no one at the bar with him. He was on the phone with myself & child; the music of Michael Jackson was just as loud as him speaking to me. Your Manager was asked the question " If I was white on a phone call would I be asked to leave?" Her answer was NO... Mind boggling.... As a transportation person (Truck Driver) there is not a lot of time from one destination to the next, so he has to knock a few things out at once. I would not suggest patronizing this restaurant at all since a simple phone call was a problem. I'm gonna assume the food would have been good had he been allowed to finish his meal to get back on the road to get to his next destination. Highly disappointed. Ordered the Create Your Own Seafood Combo with king crab, shrimp, potato's, corn, and sausage with a side of the Cajun sauce and rice. Normally go to Mighty Crab in Bossier but we were In Shreveport and just decided to try it since we were there. King Crab and Shrimp are we extremely over cooked. Shell was very bendy so when you went to crack it, bent and the crab was very rubbery. The shrimp took me LITERALLY 5 minutes to peal just one, which indicated it was over cooked because you could hardly get the shell off. The Cajun sauce was 90% seasoning. So there was a GLOB of seasoning at the bottom of the container. I have had my fair share of seafood and never have I been this disappointed. The only thing good was decent was the potato's. For what they charge, especially for King Crab, they needed to put more effort into cooking it. MOST DEFINITELY will NOT be coming back. Will just stick to Mighty Crab in bossier!! read more

I fought not to give a two star rating. When my meal arrived in the steam bag, (shrimp, sausage, corn and potato), I opened the bag and to my chagrin, there was no steam. I was in a hurry, so I did not complain. But the greatness to really good seafood at this establishment add others like it, is getting 'cooked to order' food. With the current reviews, I was skeptical to come to Laughing Crab but I couldn't be happier that I did. Laughing Crab is in a strip mall and I almost drove away to find another place instead of going in but I figured I would give it a shot. Once inside, the establishment felt nothing like what it looked like on the outside. It has a fun, nautical vibe with decorations and a layout that makes it feel like it should sit on the water. For lunch, I ordered the snow crab cluster and shrimp combo for only $18. It was a steal for the amount of food I was given. Brandon, my waiter, was very kind and patient with my request. They have all sorts of different spices but I ended up ordering mild old bay for my crab legs and shrimp. Brandon brought me gloves, a bib, crackin' tools, and a shell basket before I got my lunch. He also brought tasty garlic bread that I nibbled on before my lunch. My food arrived after a short time in a bag - which I guess is normal but I'm from out of state so was a little confused. I dumped out my food and got to work on my crab cluster first. I dipped my crab in drawn butter and it was the perfect salty, spicy, creamy bite of seafood! Even the shrimp were amazing and I finished every one! I wish they would have had actual silverware because I like to use that as a tool to get into my crab legs. I used the red tool but feel like I could have gotten more crab if I had a regular fork instead of plastic. The food was so good that I may go back tomorrow for lunch. We were on a road trip from Dallas to New Orleans and decided to stop in Shreveport for lunch. This was my first time in Louisiana and my parents first time in almost twenty years, so we were all eager to try some Cajun food. Cajun wings - Deliciously fried, Cajun seasoning is very prominent. Goes great with the ranch that comes with it Fries - Cooked almost perfectly, maybe could use a minute more in the fryer for some browning but still fluffy and seasoned. Sausage (with house seasoning) - A little creamier than expected, but that's probably because we ordered mild. It was still very tasty and great for a family of four or five. Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered, which consisted of spicy Cajun seafood and a chicken tender basket. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but pretty clean. Y'all we have been here three separate times after the initial visit and it's been wonderful every single time. The food is always amazing and worth the price for the amount and quality you get. The hostess is always friendly and welcoming. Our waitresses have varied from fair to really excellent (which is anywhere really). I believe from reading the previous negative reviews that those people are ordering the cheap stuff. Yeah, maybe the fried baskets aren't great, but when I go we get the fresh seafood and it's worth it. If they had bread, I would have my plate perfectly clean. The leg combo ( 1lb king crab, 1/2lb snow crab, and 1/2lb dungeoness crab) is my new go to favorite! It comes with corn, potatoes and hard boiled egg! Visit #2-- It just gets better! This time, Charlie got the crawfish - 3lbs @ $25 with corn, potatoes, and egg - with House Seasoning and Medium heat. All I heard was slurping and soft moans. I did the crab legs again, but this time a full pound with corn, potatoes, and andouille sausage - also $25. I couldn't eat the corn and potatoes because I was STUFFED from the crab legs. This time, I chose butter and garlic seasoning and medium heat. Perfection. I did ask for bib and gloves. The bib worked perfectly. The gloves didn't fit well, so I made a mental note to bring my own next time. I am that person who has made merciless fun of the "Glovers" in the past; however, as Charlie so poignantly put it, I needed a shower after my last visit. This time, even though the gloves didn't fit as well, I left the restaurant feeling much more tidy than last time! LOL Our bill was 54 bucks. We left satisfied and happy. It was also an added pleasure to be served by Ms Wana who was attentive and pleasant, and to meet Ms Maggie (Yoki's - owner's - sister) and Ms Judy (general manager).
