They came ready for business! They had a variety of products and could accept any version of payment your pajama clad self offered -- including Google pay! I had a good time laughing and exchanging jibs about Garrett's popcorn in my childhood hometown -- Chicago! I was told to try the "Chicago" label from this shop. I warily agreed and promised to write what I discovered! First, let me say! Garrett's is my all time FAVORITE!! I am one of those people who would stand in the line that wraps around the block for hours in the sub zero weather just to buy a bag of the cheesy caramel mix! I have to report, with a heavy heart ... I will not be driving to Chicago for Garrett's again! As the owner promised, this popcorn is wonderful! It was WI cheesy and the caramel made me feel all Christmasy sweet and buttery inside (and I don't celebrate Christmas)! I only wish I could have had this cheesey popcorn warm right out of the kettle. I can just imagine what THAT tastes like! I will definitely have to make a trip to Cedarburg to find this shop. In fact I'm going to have to walk there from Grafton so I can burn enough calories to earn the right to eat a bag of that popcorn right in the shop!

We were very pleased to see it was comparable to the store in our home town, only better! The owner did a great job renovating the old building and it has a very welcoming feel the minute you step inside. There is a fine selection of flavors to choose from in various sizes, and very reasonably priced. We purchased 3 flavors: Butterscotch, Cinnamon, and Pickle Pop. All 3 are amazing, but the Cinnamon - oh my gosh! Sooooo good! I had a hard time putting it down! Price was also a bit high for what I actually received. Next time I am in the area, I probably would try Chocolate Factory for nostalgia's sake as I haven't had it since they left the Prospect Mall forever ago! I've had Kohler Chocolates before and have always been impressed. Since we were staying at the American Club for the weekend, stopping by the chocolate shop was a must. As part of the stay, you receive a small box of Terrapins as a welcome gift and then a couple of square truffles with the nightly turn-down service, which only made us more excited to visit the store. We went on a Sunday morning while they were just putting out their selections in the display case. It isn't a huge assortment, but everything they offer is beautifully crafted and clearly made with care. I was especially surprised and impressed when we asked if it was possible to sample something and they offered us an entire truffle rather than just a small piece. That was incredibly generous. You can purchase pre-boxed assortments, but if you want a custom selection, you can choose any combination you like and they will box it up for you. They offer gift boxes for four or nine pieces, which are perfect sizes for sharing or giving as gifts. We will definitely enjoy these chocolates ourselves and share them with some of our favorite people.

WI Campfire S'mores: Cedar Crest Ice Cream is a premium ice cream company that has been located in…read moreCedarburg, WI since 1976. They offer around 80 flavors of their delicious ice cream and their claim to fame is that they invented the now widespread "tracks" in ice cream. WI Campfire S'mores is an ambitious ice cream flavor comprised of graham flavored ice cream with crushed peanut butter cups and a marshmallow swirl. The marshmallow swirl is a little tough to see visually because its white color blends in with the light brown/tan color of the ice cream base. Trust me, it's there though. Separating a spoonful of the swirl out, it does have a texture that differs from the ice cream as it is more aligned to marshmallow fluff. Although the graham and marshmallow flavors tend to get somewhat lost in each other, the peanut butter really comes through when you get a piece of it. The problem is the peanut butter cups are few and far between. Imagine eating an actual s'more that's only graham crackers and a marshmallow. The chocolate (or in this case peanut butter cups) is needed to complete the experience. Cedar Crest is not the only company to do this, but the picture on the package egregiously exaggerates the amount of peanut butter cups. As good as this ice cream is, I think Ben & Jerry's (B&J's) does it better with their PB S'more pint. I'll leave it up to you, but for me this is a Doughboy approved if I have it pre-2024 when B&J's introduced the PB S'more flavor, but after already being exposed, it's just okay *Addendum: The bottom quarter of the container had significantly more peanut butter cups, so more of an equal distribution issue than quantity problem My favorite Cedar Crest Flavors: 1.
