Paid $10 for a brat at Strawberry fest and it was super small and undercooked! Definitely not worth it!

I found the perfect place in 3rd Street Market Hall, just a block and a half from my conference hotel. I loved the food hall and had two lunches and one dinner there during my stay. There is plenty of seating. The people at Dawg City were incredibly nice and made me feel like family. Service was excellent. I opted for their Classic, which was a beautiful, meaty beef dog topped with mustard, ketchup, relish, and finely diced onions. It was outstanding! Every bite had the topping mixture. Yum! The fries deserve their own paragraph-crispy with a delicious seasoning blend, which I dunked in ketchup. Pure heaven! It takes a lot to impress me-i've eaten a lot of hotdog and fries in my time-but Dawg City would have to be one of my top best, for both the food and the experience!

I decided to try the Santa Fe, and it was topped with a squeeze of smooth guacamole, pico de gallo, and cotija cheese. Maybe the toppings cooled the hot dog down a bit...I would have preferred it to be warmer, but it was good. Mr. R ordered a chili cheese dog, and he kept talking about how good the chili was. He talked to someone at the stand and found out its homemade. I tried a bite, and I agree it's quite good, with a nice cumin flavor. Next time I would take a pass on the Santa Fe and go straight for the chili dog!

Got greeted by a nice young woman. I ordered the root beer float, and he got the Black Cow. They use Cedar Crest Ice Cream, which I think is high quality. The float came in a glass mug and looked amazing -- and it tasted excellent. To me, the Black Cow looked a bit watery (overmixed), but he enjoyed it. It was rainy, and we got the only picnic table that was covered. There were plenty of other picnic tables on the grassy areas across the parking lot. Don't know much about the food, but would definitely come back for the root beer float.

It was great to see it was a hot dog place instead of a burger joint; I ordered a hot dog with ketchup and relish and a side of onion rings, but no beverage as I had one in the car. Anyway, the hot dog was ok, but the meat itself was kind of soft and spongy, not to my liking. The onion rings, described to me by the order taker as fantastic, were, in reality, disgusting. They tasted like old, rancid oil and consisted mostly of a thick batter with the thinnest actual onion slice. I ate two small rings and tossed the rest. Just gross. I really wish I could have had an excellent dog and rings, because when I indulge in a fast food meal, that's what I love, and few places offer hot dogs anymore.
