I really like how they use local in-season fresh ingredients. Smoothies are delicious. Great place for lunch with a friend.

Get the Korean bowl (I get it with tofu) or the Zappatista salad (healthy version of a taco salad). This place is further from my work than other places, but I still come down (3 times/week) to get a healthy, delicious lunch. The employees work very fast and super hard, as they are filling call-in orders in addition to serving a huge cafe of people, so leave 'em a tip! read more

I had a seasonal special, which was some kind of magical burrito filled with BBQ pulled pork, collard greens, squash, black beans, cheese--it was delicious and filling. Chips and salsa and guac are a happy thing. Niece had the seasonal bowl special with tempeh and gobbled it all up, so I'm assuming it was good, too. It had been six or seven months since I was in Corvallis and my friend recommended trying Laughing Planet as one of the better new cafe options and a I could not agree more. I honestly could not believe the price (for both food and beer) at this cafe. The food was outstanding - fresh, tasty, and full of flavor (holy mole burrito!). Chips and green salsa were great as a side, and they were even serving all local (Eugene and Corvallis local) beers on tap. This place isn't mind blowing or a super classy sit down restaurant but the burritos are some of the best in Corvallis. Come here for lunch if you are downtown. Lots of vegetarian or vegan options for our animal loving friends. I enjoy the chicken burrito here with the habanero salsa on the side. Funky atmosphere and decor that you would expect to see at your friends moms house. I'd give it 5 stars if I were only basing it on their homemade sodas. Their root beer is on. point. The food is hit or miss...some things are great (Ché burrito & some of the seasonal offerings)...some things not-so-much (from what I can tell, everything my wife has ever had...she's not a huuuge fan). I ate here a ton when I first moved to town - super fun environment (and soda refills) if you need to get work done - but eventually the food's luster wore off. I got a BiBimBop Bowl while others in my group got a burrito with chicken. It was pretty meh. You couldn't really taste much of anything except for the cause that they put on top. When you actually bit on the pieces of meat, they were pretty bland. The others in my group had the same complaints about the burritos. All sauce and very little real flavor. read more

Love this place! Che burrito is a new favorite (California transplants: it's a lot like a smokey black bean burrito from el pollo loco - on steroids, with sweet potatoes and plantains). Aqua fresca was great! Ginger and mango - refreshing. Service was friendly. Not typically a style of restaurant I would visit, but my daughter insisted, while I was visiting in town. I have the "Che" Burrito (a Vegi \ sweet potato base) that was favorable. Although you can add meat, I would go with the way they intended it, very nice! Also I have the Ginger Mango Lime drink (juice blend). You have to be a major fan of Ginger, which I am. It was very unique and complimented the meal. The over all atmosphere is light and the prices are reasonable. A one of a kind that you should experience while in Corvallis. read more

I got one of their bowls with quinoa and kale. Quinoa was so warm and well cooked, it tasted delicious! Being pampered by amazing spice-pairings in India, I can vouch for their sauces -- especially the hot sauce. Cilantro-pesto sauce was ultra bland, so I wouldnt recommend that. Friendly staff -- the lady who waited on me gave me tips to shop around in Corvallis too -- nice of her! I can easily recommend this place -- pretty cool to hang around here with friends. Place kind of reminds me of Cafe Yumm, but it doesn't taste as good. Service was good but nothing special about the overpriced food.

I went here today for lunch and was very happy with the bowl I had--Lebanese--grains, lentils, tomato, cucumber, lettuce. There was dressing/sauce on it. There was also another kind of sauce served on the side. Since I am a meat eater I added chicken, even though it cost me extra. It was a special, so you will not find it on the menu. Time for a Laughing Planet update. First, their Corvallis location in the summer (not sure about other locations) had a $7 burrito and beer special after 7 PM going on. I don't know if this is still going on as of November, but I can say that when the place sells burritos for $6.95 you're pretty much getting a drink for free. That is a pretty good deal. Second, I've tried stuff other than the Bollywood bowl and honestly, everything else was much better than it. Their burritos are good, and most of their other bowls are well-done. Their stuff is pretty saucy, not too hot, with good variety. These aren't Tex-Mex style burritos, they're fresh and tasty. Occasionally I have the bowls but really the burritos are worth going for. read more

I've visited this restaurant in May when I came to visit Corvallis and I must say that I was not wowed by this food at all. There's something about the seasonings that are off and I wish they would increase the amount of seasonings to make the food taste a little bit better. I do think that the food was very fresh and the staff was very friendly however I do believe they can improve in the quality of the seasonings they put in their meals. read more

Visiting OSU and a friend-student took us here. Really great find in the quaint downtown area. The food was excellent and unique. They had a hard time handling the lunch hour crush with the cashiers being the same ones who had to step away to make the smoothies ... could have been a little more efficient with that. Ordered for our company lunch, we were over charged for two extra Thai salads we didn't order. We ordered a smoothie with a little ginger and the smoothie was ALL ginger, extremely overpowering and actually ruined the appetite of one of our employees. When we ordered, the customer service on the phone was rude and neglected to listen to our order properly. We will no longer be ordering from here for our employees lunch. read more
