The doors on the machines were very hard to open and close, maybe new latches that feel like they're stuck and I really had to pull to get them opened. Before I could even get my money in the machine the manager came up and told me to stop slamming the doors and then showed me how to open and close the door. I explained I wasn't trying to slam the doors to me they seemed just how they opened and closed, and told him when I searched for a nearby laundromat many yelp reviews speak of how rude he is. I know tone and intonation are hard to convey via text but the way this guy spoke to me was enough to make me pack my things and leave. Not a local business I'd choose to support, especially as a first time customer.

There are customer-only bathrooms, plenty of seating and folding areas, and both self-service and drop-off laundry options available. While I was there, attendants were continuously cleaning -- wiping machines, sweeping, and even cleaning inside the washers and dryer vents. The space stayed quiet, but the staff was friendly, said hello, and were helpful to anyone who had questions. The machines are modern, in great condition, and clearly well cared for. They also have several newer machines, including large-capacity dryers that can handle huge comforters -- even multiple at once, which is exactly why I came. There are two vending machines on site as well. Parking is another big plus: free, plentiful, and easy. Prices are reasonable too, with machines ranging from $3.00, $4.00, and $6.00, depending on size. Overall, Star Coin Laundry was clean, efficient, and surprisingly pleasant.

Some updates have been done like newer washer machines, but they still have some of the older machines which load from the top which I prefer if you need to do some prewash scrubbing. Many of the hampers were also changed which is great because they now move much smoother when you push the hamper. They pulled off the old flooring, but I hope they are planning to place new flooring because the "floor" looks horrible! The dryers are ok if they clean out the traps which I think they don't do often enough because often I've had to use another quarter after putting $0.75. Depending which dryer you use, three quarters can last up to 15 minutes vs 24 minutes. Even with that amount of time, I usually end up adding another quarter in order to complete the drying process. Only one out of two TVs work and sometimes you can hear the sound. There's a small sink to wash your hands. Thin paper towels are available next to the sink. Plenty of tables to fold your laundry. Plenty of free parking in front of this establishment. Open till midnight.
