it's so disgusting and gross. there's sticky stuff and hair everywhere. you can tell it's just lightly cleaned with a dirty rag on its best day. plus their kiosks only take cash. so i had to first get cash by paying the ATM fees, then i had to get change again because the new card kiosk only takes $1 bills only. then i bought the card with cash and the card slots have so much gunk stuck in there that my card almost didn't come out. the place is just run down, nasty, and not card friendly. tf read more

This laundromat is open 24/7 and is the cleanest one I've seen in the area. They always have someone on-site who's willing to help you carry your laundry to and from your car. Instead of using coins, it uses a magnetic swipe card that you can keep recharging. It's the only one in the area that I've seen that has this easy to use system set up. read more

The dryer was cold. There were people hanging out and talking loud who were not doing any laundry. There was only one stool in the place. I give it the star because there are a lot of machines and the staff was kind and helpful getting laundry out of and into the car. I will not be going back. read more

Found myself stranded in Newark one weekend with just a single change of clothes while my boyfriend took care of some family issues (No, my life is not an episode of the Sopranos, I swear.) Laundry Fresh was my savior and kept me from looking like a disheveled hobo for two days. As a resident of NYC for the past several years, I've seen my fair share of laundromats and consider myself an aficionado. Using Laundry Fresh was an all-around pleasant experience and while I probably won't have to return, I wish more places in the city would catch on to how it's done. It's true, this place is open 24 hours everyday. The facility has a parking lot and lots of machines to use. This review is for the wash & fold service; I dropped off my laundry around noon. Since this was my first time here, the gentleman behind the counter answered all my questions and helped me sign up for a digital wash/laundry card. Nevertheless, I was not aware that you MUST PAY CASH ONLY before using the service. However, there's an ATM there to use. Received a call at 7 PM to let inform me that my laundry was ready to be picked up. At pick up, you must sign out your stuff (I believe I signed in my laundry too) can't remember, sorry. How can you get excited about laundry? Spend three weeks on the road and a nice laundromat can be wonderful, as this is. Do yourself a favor and do the wash 'n fold. From drop off to perfect packaging, double-bagged it took four hours - sheer joy! Just plan on taking a taxi to/from and have them wait for you. it is well lit, spotless and they use a reload-able payment card system so you don't have to lug around rolls of quarters. My downstairs neighbors had mentioned Laundry Fresh to me, so when I found myself with a pile of laundry that had reached ridiculous proportions, I headed over there. The two laundromats near my apartment are pretty horrible: one doesn't take the 'new' dollar bills (which have been out for years) and is known for crackheads who try to steal laundry. It's rundown and depressing, and the owner doesn't care how bad the service is. The other one is a bit better, but I once left laundry there for a wash and fold and found it was moldy when I came to pick it up. It hadn't been in the dryer long enough. Laundry Fresh looks exactly like the photos. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped me fold my sheets. There isa juice and snack machine, detergent, softener and other useful items on sale, and washing machines in three sizes. There is also a children's play area with a TV playing cartoons and another TV that was turned to the news when I was there. Pleasant music plays in the background. there is a computer that allows you internet access by the minute. I didn't get a chance to play Ms. Pac-man or Galaga, but I will have to do that next time. Most importantly, there is a clean and tidy bathroom that is large enough for a wheelchair and a ramp up to the door, as well as a parking lot. I will check whether there is Wi-Fi next time. I liked that I didn't have to bring coins or dollar bills. The washers and dryers work on a card system, and if you put $20 on your card (it costs a dollar) you get $2 more added for free. The prices here are very reasonable and it was a totally pleasant experience. I was even given a calendar in honor of the holidays! This place is a haven of customer service, and deserves to be recommended, especially in a city like Newark where doing laundry is often a horrifying experience. The only way to make this place better is for the owners to throw wine and cheese parties for their customers. read more

Decent enough to wash your clothes. I came in the morning, now crowded, that's a plus. They have food but I'm not trying it, also a play pen for the kids, so they won't drive u to crazy. Incredible establishment. As soon as I went to lift my laundry bag out of my car, someone ran over to place it into a cart and push it inside for me. I had come in for the drop off service and was greeted immediately. The staff was very helpful and friendly, I couldn't be more pleased. They only use tide and downy products and everything seemed clean and tidy to me. They have a spacious parking lot which is very convenient. The only complaint I had, which is not the establishments fault, was the people around the area. Very aggressive, rude people, will block you off from leaving the lot and not move when asked nicely. Not such a friendly neighborhood, no big deal! It was worth the service. My laundry was perfectly folded and washed immaculately! I will definitely be returning. read more

Customer service, machines, and environment is superb! We came with loads of laundry and the employee came out to load up and help bring in our laundry. He was very friendly and helpful in instructing us what to do and how to work the machines, seeing as how we were completely lost as to using a laundry card. The washers and dryers were very good and pretty reasonably priced. They also provide free wifi and a nice little lounge area. We went around noon time and it wasn't too busy, but even if it was I'm sure there would still be enough machines for all! I will definitely return to this laundromat as well as recommend it to others! read more

I think that the owners are really friendly, and the laundrymat is always clean, and well stocked with supplies to purchase. Laundry sometimes can be a daunting task that many find unpleasant but, going to LaundryFresh makes the experience much better to deal with. The hours are also convenient. I'm glad it's also in walking distance from my home. I'm not fond of the surrounding area but the laundry is one bright spot, in the dismal surroundings. read more
