I was expecting a professional hem, not an unusually expensive alteration. I mentioned that the prices seemed high, so I decided to skip those items and asked about replacing the closure on one pair of pants instead. That's when she told me the seamstress wouldn't be there until Monday. I asked, "You're not the seamstress?" She said no. That left me wondering how she was able to quote exact prices for the other alterations if the person actually doing the work wasn't there. It's not even noon yet, there's no way they had enough time for that. I've been coming here for years - I know what it's supposed to smell and feel like when it's washed. Typically, in the last decade or so, the cost of alterations for me have surpassed the cost of the pants they are doing the work on which I find insane but what can you do? This place charged me $14 a pair. It took them exactly a week to complete the job which is a little long. Generally, should take 4-5 days. I would plan ahead, just in case. The quality of work appears to be solid with the stitch intact. I recommend.
