What I think is nice is that the view is not just of the park and all the distant rolling hills, but also Jenny lake itself, which is unique to this area. Some other great lookout points include the hike to Delta Lake, but you're not gonna get that same view directly over Jenny Lake, which is the most popular area in the park. If you're going to do the hike up to hidden Falls, this is basically on the way so you should stop and take a picture or sit for a while. It's definitely worth the time to go out of your way for this!

My group stopped at the top and ate lunch on some rocks under a tree. There are so many chipmunks looking for food, and they look like they get it. You can take the ferry to the beginning of this hike to make it easier. The walk down is a little rough on the knees. Still loved it!

Gros Ventre Road will take you on a gentle roller coaster ride with crest, valleys and turns through this special National Forest that is often overlooked by visitors. As you crest parts of Gros Ventre Road the magnificent Red Hills will catch you by surprise and loom large in front of you. The Red Hills are a backdrop to crystal clear rivers and streams below, ranch lands kept manicured by exquisite grazing horses, and a lovely mountain chain on the right. Check your favorite hiking guide and camping guide for the perfect get away. Turnouts with informative signage about this area are dotted along Gros Ventre Road. Important to note, you will not have cell service as is the case in most areas of National Parks. However, on our recent drive to the Red Hills the Waze app, without cell service, continued offline guiding us on Gros Ventre Road. From Jackson you'll take 89/191 north towards Grand Teton National Park. At the traffic circle you'll take the first right toward Kelly. Drive through Kelly (don't blink you might miss it) and turn right on Gros Ventre Road. As you continue on Gros Ventre you will be entering Bridger Teton National Forest. This approximately 10 mile winding road will turn from paved to gravel to dirt. The potholes are there to slow you down so you can "smell the roses".

Schwabacher Landing is a very popular visit in Grand Teton. This is partly because people stop at…read morethese types of overlooks, stops, and short walks so it gets really crowded. This is a great place to take pictures and we saw lots of people here with professional cameras and tripods. The road getting there is narrow and the road is congested. I would recommend coming at sunrise or sunset for the best views and to avoid the crowds. It's a short 0.2 mile walk out and 0.2 mile walk back so it's an easy walk with gorgeous views. I would recommend getting farther away from the main road and crowds and explore more in nature if you are able to!

I would strongly recommend it,…read morebut just be aware that the parking is competitive at Jenny Lake visitor center because it's the most popular in the park (despite there being a massive parking lot with an overflow area). One of the nice things about this visitor center is that there are clean bathrooms with running water, food, options, and gift stores. The lake itself is absolutely stunning, and you have two options to get to hidden Falls - you can either do the actual trail, which takes anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, or you can take the ferry shuttle across the lake ($20 I think), which cuts your trip down by a solid mile or two. In fact, it ends up only taking maybe 15 to 20 minutes of an uphill walk to get to hidden Falls from where the ferry dock is after you ride it. Honestly, though, I think that the hike itself is absolutely worth it because the views around the lake itself are absolutely stunning! I think if you only do one hike in Grand Teton National Park, this should be it.

My group opted for the hike, and it made getting to the waterfall, where it was incredibly cool, extra sweet. The water created a much appreciated swamp cooler effect. It was also super pretty to look at. This part of the hike was definitely the busiest with lots of people taking pictures and eating their lunch by the waterfall. Really gorgeous! Great views on the hike up. Great stop on our trip to the Tetons!!

This is a gorgeous community park with everything that you could possibly need. There is natural…read morebeauty everywhere. There is a lovely shaded parking area and dogs are welcome here on a leash. I was very disappointed that the other dog owners I saw immediately let their dogs off luche even though there are multiple signs asking you not to do this. We were very respectful and kept our dogs leash on the entire time. I hope people like that don't ruin spaces like this for people like us. We walked some of the trails and it started to rain lightly, but the sprinkles on the water just added to the beauty. We walked on the little island and across the smooth stones in the water and small bridges and it was just magical. I would love a space like this near where I live and I hope those of you who live nearby don't take it for granted. There is art throughout the park and on our way out we were able to use the clean restrooms and get a drink of water. If I lived closer I would come here all the time. It is definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic little trail - the views just can't be beat and there were SO many birds and…read moreeven several butterfly species along the way - what an overlooked gem! The trailhead is found easily - right out behind Jackson Lake Lodge and is well marked - so it's very convenient if you're staying at the lodge as well. The whole trail is a loop and is only about 1/2 mile long with just a tiny elevation gain of around 100 feet - most of which is done right at the beginning. It's all gravel and very well maintained. In the spring, the fields are covered in these short bunches of bright yellow blooms (arrowleaf balsamroot)! And the last 1/4 mile is through a small aspen grove - so lovely! The views on the west part of the loop look out across Willow Flats and over to the grand Teton range and Jackson Lake. The views to the east look over the lush green mountains of the Bridger-Teton National Forest - so it's pretty much 360 degrees of majestic beauty! And then there's the birding - wow!! I saw several lifers here - including numerous Green-tailed Towhees (which was one of my target species!!), Pine Siskins, and Ruby Crowned Kinglets! We even happened to catch a Northern Flicker belting out his noisy song repeatedly in the tree tops! There are bear warning signs all over the place - but I wasn't surprised with Teton NP being a hotbed of grizzly activity. There are also numerous information signs along the trail that discuss the history and wildlife - really interesting stuff! At the end where it starts to loop around, there's an off-shoot that keeps on going way off into the distant tree line so you can do more than just the 1/2 mile. It's truly just a fabulous trail all around and I think it gets overlooked in favor of the more popular trails - which is fine bc we had this trail to ourselves and I hiked it several times during our long weekend here! You don't have to be staying at the lodge to visit - the grounds are open to all. Highly recommend!

The Bike Park is AWESOME! Not sure what else they provide, but we had so much fun riding the…read moretrails. It's $119 for bike, safety gear and lift ticket for 3 hours. Sounds pricey but I considered going a second day in a row but would've had to go solo. The one downside is risk. My brother in law was not as comfortable on the bikes and took a spill. Luckily no big injuries but there are a lot of rocks and trees to hit if you're not careful.
