First time I went, they couldn't fix my problem and made it worse (at least they didn't charge me) second time took my wife's car, they fix the ac problem but broke the plastic on the steering wheel dash board and when I came back to tell them about it, swore that it was not them and that the tech was the only one touched it. Funny how I can hand off a car and that item is working but when I pick it up it's broken and they swore it wasn't them. Go somewhere else, I can deal with mistakes, we all make them but when it's denied and you are treated like a fool to get by with it. That's not ok with me. My Low tire pressure light came on. Check my tires and definitely had a pending flat tire. I took my car into Laurel Hill car care. I actually was wondering why the check & repair of my tire was so fast. All the tech did was over inflate all 4 tires (46 psi & higher) and sent me on my way. The very next day driving home, Low tire pressure light comes on again. My anger and frustration does not come from the fact that the tech did not even look for the issue to repair it. It's the inconvenience he cost my time to drive my car to Costco (tires purchased there) and have it looked at and repaired because he did not do his job. I literally lost two hours of my evening because that asshole was too lazy to do his job. On a very positive note, they did not charge me to look at an inflate my tires. On 3/23/2019 I took my car to Laurel Hill Car Care to have my emission test performed. I young guy who waited on me stated that I failed the test due to the check engine light not coming on. He further stated that my no codes were found and if I bring back my car within 14 days I with the check engine light fixed I would not be charged again. I reviewed the emission report he provided and he only highlighted the line that stated "The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is broken or not functioning. The MIL light must be functioning properly. The ODB Trouble Codes indicated PASS and ODB Malfunction indicate lamp indicated FAIL. I brought the car back today and showed the mechanic that emission report on 3/23 and explained I failed due to the check engine light not functioning. He asked if I was still within 14 days and I stated no so I understand I will need to pay again. After about 15 minutes the mechanic came back and Bob stated that I failed my test for 2 trouble codes. I asked him how that was possible since I have been only been away 16 days. He stated that the emission tests will not continue if the check engine light is not working. I asked Bob how does the emission report show PASS if according to him the test did not run because the check engine light stops the OBD diagnostic. I reiterated to Bob, the mechanic on 3/23 stated I PASSES and the so does the emission report. He stated that I might have not understood what the mechanic told me. 3 stars for the staff being professional and getting my inspection and emissions done quickly but can't give more than that. The guy inside the service office didn't wear a mask and was rude. Even though there's a plastic covering between him and the desk, we are living in the middle of a pandemic and he interacts with several people a day. At least put the mask on when someone enters the office and take it off if it's empty. If you require your customers to have masks on (I hope you do), then staff should as well. read more

Pulled in with a problem tire. Had it diagnosed and fixed in under 15 minutes and I was back on the road for $20. We took another car in to have a hidden hitch installed and everything went well from beginning to end--including them alerting us to a damaged part. Highly recommended. read more

This is definitely where I go when something is wrong with my car... and unfortunately this year I have visited more than I would have liked to. They were very professional and COMPLETELY honest about everything. It is extremely hard to find a place that is honest when it comes to having your car fixed and it can be so stressful. My 2000 Toyota Camry was a complete mess before she bit the dust this weekend and they always helped me out, knowing I'm just a poor girl with no intelligence in cars. They helped her stay alive for longer than I thought she would last. This last time my car broke down I just couldn't take it anymore (not their fault at all, it was just done after 13 years of wear and tear) but I appreciated their work and will be taking my new car for inspections and (hopefully this won't happen but...) repairs in the future. read more

Horrible. I made an appointment to get my oil changed and tires rotated, showed up and they didn't have it in the system. Waited 50 minutes for them to finish, drove home, only to find THEY DIDNT CHANGE MY OIL OR ROTATE MY TIRES. And they charged me for it and changed the sticker for the next oil change. They will tell me if something does not need to be done, which I appreciate. Hourly labor charge is same, if not cheaper, than nearby places. Absolutely fantastic. Over the past few years I started learning more and more about cars. My car has had a handful of problems most of which I have been able to fix myself. I had a mechanic that I used to go to, but I know for sure this place is where I will get things serviced from now on. My old mechanic started to push towards me getting more and more unnecessary services and I decided to leave there and took a shot here and I'm glad I did. My car is typically difficult to service, so what I needed I wasn't able to do it myself and brought it here with a good idea what was wrong. They identified the issue and fixed another unrelated issue for free. The owner seems to be incredibly friendly and isn't looking to upsell or cheat anyone. I am so disappointed with Laurel Hill Car Care. I had a tire that needed repair and had our van towed to this auto repair shop. They replaced the tires but had to take the van to the Springfield shop for an alignment. After 5 days of our van sitting in their parking lot, we picked it up on Friday. My husband noticed that when he opened the driver's door, it was damaged and made a loud screeching noise because it was hitting the front wheel panel above the wheel. There was a large amount of mud kicked up from all four wheels onto the side of the van. It appears that someone got our van stuck in the mud and used the passenger door to "push" it out, damaging the door. We are now going to have to pay to have it fixed so it doesn't continue to rip the molding piece of the side of the door. Laurel Car Care denies any responsibility and refuses to help us pay for it. We have been loyal customers and trusted them with our vehicles. They just lost a very good customer. Be careful folks! read more

Really great guys at this shop who go above and beyond to serve their customers. Long story short- the nearby Autotrain fried my entire car because they tried to jump it incorrectly. This was the closest garage to tow my car to and I couldn't have gotten luckier! I was basically stranded in Lorton, Va as I live in NJ and was left without a working car. Laurel Hill Car Care (unlike Amtrak) worked tirelessly (pun intended) to find out exactly what was wrong with my car, fix what was fixable and one of the guys even drove all the way out to a Hyundai dealership to obtain a part for me- all so that I could be back on the road home on that same day. They really do care about you there and the bill was extremely low given the amount of work and time that was put into fixing my car. Thank you guys! We were driving down Lorton Rd on a Friday afternoon heading for the Amtrak Auto Train as we were to leave for FL on it that afternoon. All of a sudden the car made a clunk and grind noise then I saw the heat gauge start to climb and knew I needed help fast. I could see a gas station across the street and it turned out to be Laurel Hill Car Care. Their waiting room was full and I could see they were very busy however when I explained we were trying to make the train they got our car in as quickly as they could to give me an evaluation. It was the water pump. One of the mechanics said he would stay over to get the job done so we could have the car that night as they do not have mechanics on the weekend. Amtrak rescheduled us for Sat. and Bob ,the manager, called the Comfort Inn nearby and asked for the shuttle to pick us up so we could wait in our room. Service like this is rare and to be commended. I have an older Japanese SUV that I have had repaired here before and they did a great job. They even told me how I could replace my own antenna to save some money so I bought my own antenna and installed it very simply with their advice. They do vehicle inspections also, but get there early in the day because they get pretty backed up later in the day sometimes. One of the few repair shops I trust around here. read more
