Their garden & nursery specialists are very helpful & well educated when trying to identify plant diseases when bringing clippings in ziplock bags & will test your soil's ph. They have a good selection & variety of all your garden needs; from tools, supplies, plants, pots, trees, decorative garden items to delivered stone, mulch, sand, garden top soil, rain barrels to Ladybugs. Ive gotten other plants, trees & garden soil from a dozen of the local nurseries & landscapers from this area & was truly disappointed after doing so. I ended up with diseased areas from their bad soil that had invasive weeds to finding an animals leg in it; their trees died after arriving sickly & most or all of the plants I picked up died were already sick & none of them survived or stood by their warranties. The only reason I even went somewhere else was because Primex didn't have it in stock or I was out in the area & wanted to try some of their plants in my garden & picked them up on the fly. Never again. I lost a lot of money & won't ever go anywhere except Primex. They are the best of the best!

A few weeks ago, I purchased 5 roses and 4 are doing fine. The one is dying. I called today and…read morethey don't guarantee their roses like the other places do. I didn't even ask for a refund but an exchange. It's beautiful nursery, so it saddens me, but with other places offering guarantees, it's not a place I'll go back to. I don't lightly ask to return anything. I only do it if I think it's fair, example Trader Joe's has policy you can return anything you don't like. I've never done it.

The place is popular, for very good reason. The nursery for garden plants and shrubs (with a speciality in native species) is also a great resource, particularly with Amanda's helpful advice. There's a one-day winter market, too, which is coming up in a few weeks as I write this.

The little tomatoes are the best thing I've had here. I don't know what's different about them but they almost have a slight sweetness. But really I've never gotten anything bad here. The Bread loafs they have are great. The pizza dough is too. You just need to use it and not let it explode in the fridge. I did that. More than once. I'm an idiot. Everyone that works the stand is super nice and helpful. They are always down to make suggestions on how to use what you buy. Now my favorite part is the coffee. They rotate their small coffee companies. Not sure if it's on purpose but I love it. It's a great way to sample local coffee shops. Sometimes it's out front with a truck and sometimes it's out back with a tent. In the back there is a small area you can sit and hang. We can't get enough of this place AND YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.

Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.

They really go the extra mile when it comes to customer service. Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. I've been blessed that I haven't had too many emergencies in my house but knowing a Stanley's run can be done quick sets my mind at ease. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.
