This place has everything you need! They've got flowers (annuals and perennials), bushes, trees, outdoor decor, etc..... One of the bigger nurseries I've seen!. Staff is helpful. Prices are a little on the high side, though. I'd recommend! read more

When I come to Laurel Nursery, I get the misguided idea that I should be a gardener and feel I should buy every shrub, tree, or flowers that I see. Thank goodness, husband is with me to bring me back to reality as he usually does the planting part. One can go to the Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart for the usual flower baskets and flats of vegetables, but coming here, we can get special variety of herbs, tomatoes, hot peppers, white pepper plants, and different annuals that the chains don't carry. I like to look around and get ideas on how to put together a unique hanging basket with different flowers and plants. Prices can be high for some items, especially in the gift shop. I found most of the staff to be helpful. If you ask a question and they don't know, they try to find another employee who does. It's a small business and I like to support it. read more

Went to laurels this morn to ask what could be wrong with two 25.00 coleus bags I bought. Leaves are all drying up and falling off. Was talking to a clerk when another woman working other register yelled, No Refunds, I turned and said I don't want a refund, I want to know what's wrong with it. I spent 1000.00 on a Weber grill, 300.00 for flowers, they have lost my business. Still couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. Do I water it? No, I buy them and don't water them, omg!!! read more

I attempted to return 3 spider wort plants a few days after purchase. They were watered every day, by me, & in better 'shape' than those on the lot. The sales clerk (understandably) said I needed a receipt. So, the next day I returned--but, having a broken foot ( In a cast) --I again schlepped them from car...to cart....to register..to cart...to car. The owner, Benjy, was extremely rude, stating his 'girl' erred. THERE ARE NO RETURNS. He then walked away. The girl was humiliated, the customers lined up were shocked, & I was left to 'fend for myself', trying to hobble out the door. Why didn't he honor her word? Well, I left the three plants there. This business owes me $50. My guess is he sold them AGAIN. Numerous customers expressed dismay, a few suggested alternate nurseries & a many there & then decided NOT to buy, based on the owner's stance & behavior. I will never return. There is no excuse for rudeness as a business owner. And, to treat me as he did, while I was temporarily disabled (?) is a disgrace. Shame on him. read more

Not the 1st time I was given conflicting information here. They don't seem to care after that. That's why I stopped going here the last time. I also had perennials die before the 1st year. Desperate to get a certain type of pepper, I called ahead. They wasted our valuable time and gas. I wasn't given a call back by the owner. Very disappointed. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars at this nursery on trees, hedges, plants both hanging and for my garden for years, however, we had 1 tree that started dying after they planted it so we brought it back for a refund with the receipt within the allotted time frame. First return and only return. Well..... the lady at the front desk was so rude and disrespectful telling us that trees die due to environmental reasons. So basically they have NO returns allowed because they can always say it's an "environmental" issue. She put all blame on me when I paid them, the experts to plant the tree which cost as much as the tree along with a 25.00 delivery fee to go less than 1 mile. She was verbally abusive to me while her employees stood there in shock. I could have gone to Lowes or Home Depot and if the tree dies they would refund it NO issue and with a smile. Lesson learned. I hope to spare others from this terrible experience. read more

Wonderful, helpful, knowledgable, and friendly staff. I have brought in leaves with a bug or disease problem or other issues, and the employees here have helped me solve them every time. They have a vast knowledge of plants and are eager to help. Laurel Nursery also has a wide variety of plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, pots, landscaping accessories, and other inventory. be very cautious when buying plants here. they sold me a small pink lemon tree that obviously isn't going to set fruit in the first year. i grew this thing for two summers and finally got fruit this year only to find that this is a regular ol' lime tree. i call the store to see what can be done about this and as basically told they hold no responsibility, can't give me any contact info of who they bought it from, can't do nuttin for ya. so apparently i didn't read the tiny print on the bottom of the label that says laurel nursery holds no responsibility for this. unfortunately trusting that a plant nursery is on the up and up on what they are selling wasn't good enough. it kinda leaves you feeling like they figure that by the time the plant fruits, they'll be far from any range of responsibility. luckily this thing only cost me about 20 dollars. but, just know before you spend any significant amount of money on a plant here that doesn't already have fruit or flowers hanging off of it that you can verify, if it turns out not to be what they told you it was, too bad for you..... read more

The staff is always helpful and friendly. Fantastic selection of plants. The reason I come here is that the quality is always above and beyond anywhere else I've ever been. You instantly get value for your money. It's the difference between a tree/shrub that grows exactly as you expect it to and enhances your property versus a plant from a box store that looks like it belongs in front of the Bates Motel. extremely overpriced for the quality of the flowers. the flats are nothing but stems. bought a potted geranium a couple days ago and upon further inspection, noticed that the leaves were not only scotch taped onto the stem, but the main stem was cut at the base and stuck back in the dirt. there were a couple of market packs that appeared to have cat feces in them. i noticed two feral cats running around the premises. witnessed one walking all over the herbs to get to the cat nip. what if someone that was extremely allergic to cats bought a plant that they rubbed themselves all over? the staff looks overworked. i asked multiple employees simple questions, and they could not provide me with answers. the cashiers have bad attitudes. asked for some assistance carrying out my plants to my car (i had a broken arm at the time) and got eye rolls from them. nobody looks very happy to be there. the owner scares me a bit. he tried flirting with me and taking me on a tour of the nursery. i had my toddler with me. will be going to lowes to buy plants from now on. much cheaper and friendlier staff, no cats, and much more clean. read more
