I want to share my experience that I had at this wedding chapel June 13 2026. I spoke to Jennifer I…read morewanted to speak to her about her behavior during and after the ceremony. She was rude and condescending during the whole ceremony. I understand it's 45 minute ceremony we were advised 50 per person if we had additional guests after the initial package. Which we all were aware and most people don't carry cash so we had credit cards and some people had cash there was 13 extra people. She talked about not having enough staff we didn't complain ...I said you seem upset she said I think it tacky to have to take several credit card payments..It's NOT her job to have to take multiple payments for our wedding!!! Who says that to her guests and paying customers with a nasty attitude!!!! This is your business and you're upset you're collecting 500 plus dollars. There were no other customers there and we were her last customers...Jennifer the owner was TERRIBLE she used the word tacky so many times. I felt if we were another race it would have been different I also said we're NOT tacky and that she has POOR customer. So I'm wondering if this what she thinks about people of color and she kept saying YES I'm frustrated I advise Jennifer if you're frustrated the paying customers should NEVER know how you feel...It's funny a lot of guest felt the same way saying she was very rude...She expressed it several times...Yes I'm upset. I advise how I felt in a positive way she was the aggressor.Just a fyi when you mistreat your customers we should NEVER know how you feel as a customer most people never post the good experience but the bad experience all of the time!!!!! The internet is very powerful tool...

She was very impatience, disrespectful, dismissive, rude and racist! She told me and my family it was tacky to make her take payments for the additional people who attended my wedding. we gave her a additional $500 for the additional 12 people and she explained she would not be taking indivual payments because it was extra work for her! She told my family hurry up she is ready to go! Told us she would charge my card an additional $400 every additional 10 minutes and rushed our pictures and celebration even though we were the last wedding. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone! I very horrible owner and experience! Do NOT have your wedding here it will ruin your special day!

Tracy and Todd and the rest of the staff at the Meeting House made the entire experience so incredibly enjoyable. From the first meeting to the final exit Tracy and Todd were - friendly, respectful, helpful, attentive, responsive and incredibly kind to say the least. They fielded phone calls, emails and many may questions from myself, and parents of the bride and groom. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding the venue was beautiful. It exceeded every expectation and with much help from the entire staff at the Meeting House my wedding was as cliche as it sounds. The best day of our lives! The space was incredibly large and laid out in a very cool way, the high ceilings and wood floods with grand piano and fire place made it such cozy, beautiful venue for our wedding day! I would recommend the Meeting House to anyone looking for a venue in the metro Detroit area. - Happy Bride! :-)

Meh. We went for my…read morehusbands holiday party. It was just not glam. A rickety tiny elevator ride up with tacky sheets as decor. It about summed up the experience. Luckily decor was much better when we reached our party room destination. Travelling apps were not terribly impressive but still tastyish. The bacon wrapped chicken on a skewer was ginormous. Awkward to eat. Tasted the best of the three though. The crabcakes were miniscule and mostly breading. My husband seemed unimpressed with the shrimp. The salads were simply dressed with no option but with what I guess could be called vinaigrette if I were being generous. The rolls were very grainy and not my thing. My salmon would have been terrific if it had been fresh. It was a huge portion but cold and the sauce had congealed. I liked the roasted potatoes and the veggies but again, cold. My husbands sliced steak concoction was at least warm and it was super tender. It was also well beyond a generous portion. He disliked the sauce though. The bar staff did well. We avoided the pitchers of flat beer and bad merlot, which helped. The mixed drinks were stellar. My Tito's and soda with a wee splash of cran and a lime were perfect. My husbands tequila and pineapple was also delish. Dessert was as good as the alcohol. Fantastic apple spice cake with cream cheese and caramel and a creamy chocolate pie. Yum. It was just typical wedding to me. I would never choose it myself.

The facility…read moreitself was stunningly beautiful, but what really makes this place amazing was Mary and her unwavering support. I could visibly see my bride and mothers shoulders relax after meeting Mary for the first time, a few weeks before the wedding. Mary had all sorts of supplies we could use (all for free) and really knew her stuff. During our rehearsal, Mary instructed everyone to come to her on the day of the wedding. Not me (the groom), not my mother, not the bride, but her. She played the QB and handled everything. Guys, and girls, in a world where couples getting married are nickled and dimed for every little thing, this place is the opposite. Never once did Mary say something like "Sure, we can do that for an extra fee". Everything was "Oh sure, here's what I have, what do you think?" You can tell both Chris and Mary really enjoy their work. I have nothing but glowing comments to say about them and their facility. I would recommend them a hundred times over if I could. Go with them and their facility, you won't regret it.
