Walking in the store, we were surprised to find out that we were the only customers. I think it's great that our friend booked their earliest available appointment. So pro-tip: if you are planning on coming here, try to get a super early appointment. From my experience, going here in the afternoon is too crowded and you might not get as much attention and support from the ladies working in the store. We were assisted by Ada, and let me tell you, she's the best stylist anyone could ever ask for. Their manager is also very supportive and genuine. Both ladies made the experience less overwhelming and they certainly went above and beyond to cater to our vision. They listened to our concerns, worked with our budget and accommodated our needs. Ada was the sweetest stylist. She assisted in the whole process without being too pushy. I think the two biggest things that really made our experience enjoyable was one, we came to the store during their slowest time, so they were very attentive to our needs; and two, the ladies that assisted us were really genuine and helpful! If you are wondering if our friend came home with a dress, the answer is yes. She found the one here and we are so so happy for her!

The selection of dresses was everything you could want and the prices were so reasonable. Let's just say I expected to pay 2-3x's more than what I did. My experience with J. Alan Formalwear in Clarksville was extremely disappointing and, honestly, the…read moremost stressful vendor interaction I had during my wedding planning. I purchased a wedding suit package for my brother after relying on the store's measurements, fit guidance, and fitting process. At the initial visit, we were measured, shown sample garments, and ordered the suit in good faith. Based on the way the store presents its services, I expected a professionally guided process that would result in a properly fitting final suit. That is not what happened. When the actual ordered suit arrived, it did not fit properly at all. The original jacket was too short, too tight, too short in the sleeves, and did not properly cover the backside. The pants fit badly through the seat and rise and rode up visibly in back instead of hanging cleanly. This was not just a comfort issue or a small tailoring detail. It was a real fit problem. We did not complain once and disappear. We came back multiple times over roughly two weeks, raised the same concerns repeatedly both in person and in writing, and genuinely tried to work with the store to get the issue resolved before the wedding. The larger jacket was only tried after I pushed for a different size, and it was immediately obvious that it fit better. The pants issue, however, was never meaningfully resolved. What made the experience worse was the way we were treated. I repeatedly raised the same concern and did not feel heard. The communication became defensive and dismissive instead of solution-oriented. After the suit had already come in and we pointed out the fit problems, we were repeatedly told, in substance, that this was just how the suit came or how that size was supposed to fit. That was incredibly frustrating, especially because we had relied on the store's expertise in the first place. The bigger problem is that the goods and services I received were not what was advertised, not what I paid for, and not what I reasonably expected. I did not go there just to order something from a catalog and hope for the best. I paid for what was supposed to be a professionally guided fitting process resulting in a properly fitting final suit. Instead, I ended up with a jacket that originally fit badly, pants that still did not fit properly, and no reliable no-cost remedy. For pants costing around $250 and a jacket costing around $450, I expected much more in terms of fit, professionalism, and customer care. Instead, we were told that any further alteration would cost extra, and that we might be better off taking the suit to an outside tailor ourselves. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store.

They came undone at dinner before even getting to Prom. My son had to leave dinner to come back home to change and was late to prom. Very disappointing experience for his first prom. When returning to the store today, the sales associate was very rude. Implying that we did the damage not any poor workmanship. We will be looking for somewhere else next year, and will definitely make sure to inspect the quality prior to taking possession.

Asked for a 32 1/2 outside seam it was cut to 31 and 3/4 now I have pants that won't fit and weren't tapered at all same with the shirt at least she did double up my cuff in the shirt. 90 dollar pair of dress pants and a 50 dollar dress shirt almost ruined and the pants are rag material now thanks. Also called her numerous times and about getting the clothes back that were there for over a month and they should be done this day then maybe done this day literally told her not to worry about the shirt because it was taking so long she then had it done a couple hrs later needless to say I absolutely wouldn't recommend

A Bride's Dream delivered on all of these counts. Donna was excellent with communication and was able to coordinate payment, ordering and shipping for my large bridal party group of 9 bridesmaids spread across multiple locations. I reached out to her quite a few times throughout the wedding planning process and she was able to provide status updates and warn me if I was starting to get close to the ordering deadline. This was invaluable as every group inevitably tends to have a few procrastinators. There was an issue with alteration work on one of the dresses. A concern was raised at the time of fitting and we were assured that the issue would be addressed and be unnoticeable after work was done. This was not the case, and while the result was still lovely I know my bridesmaid would have been more comfortable in the dress had this been properly fixed. Aside from this, everything went smoothly. I would recommend this vendor for their nice selection of gowns, though I would likely advise finding a different seamstress for alterations.
