I originally went to Peggy Dixon, the owner and operator of Snapdragon Florist upon the…read morerecommendation of a friend. I was seeking a florist for my wedding and I knew that Peggy was known for giving great services, so I was immediately enticed. I emailed her and she said that my wedding date was definitely open and we set up a date to discuss flower preferences. We met on September 29th and after meeting, I was feeling GREAT. I thought Peggy was very personable and would completely be the person who I would want involved in my wedding day. She said that she would have a quote and a contract to me within 7-10 days. Finally on October 23rd (not 7-10 days later) I receive an email stating that she hasn't forgotten me and she will get my quote done that weekend (by October 28th). She told me she had been tied up recently because her daughter just had her first baby. I said I completely understood. I went a week without hearing from Peggy and then on November 7th I contacted her asking if my quote and contract were ready. She then responded that she will not be working my wedding because her brother who is engaged just picked that date and she is the family florist. She said she knew he might pick my date and was now letting me know after he and his fiance decided to go with an offer at their friend's lake house. I was horrified at how unprofessionally Peggy handled this. Her brother is going with an offer at a friend's house, not a location where only one date is open for a period of time. I am by no means a bridezilla and I understand that family is a priority, but for her to lead me on for over a month and not give me any notice until I CONTACTED HER is terribly rude. I should've received an email from Peggy as soon as she knew her brother and fiance were considering my wedding date. I would never count on Snapdragon Florist to work my event. Clients are clearly not a priority.
