There is something to be said for working directly with your designer, especially when you are investing so much of yourself into a project. I believe that Lauren Brown was excited for the concept I was working on and totally poured herself into the design of my logo. After seeing what Lauren put together for me, I hired her to do all of my branding. My shop is only a couple of months old now and doing well. I have to give Lauren some credit for our initial success. Our logo and branding very effectively communicates who we are and attracts our target market. My inspiration for taking time to write this comes from a compliment paid to me by a customer. They first asked who had done the design and then went on to say that they were also a graphic designer ( he shared his portfolio with me and it was impressive). This guy then admitted that he is usually quite critical when it comes to logos and branding and finds most people get it wrong. They did a wonderful job then, and those paintings are still hanging in my home. Last week, I took a few more things in for framing. I was framing pieces my youngest daughter had done as well as a print she had given me. I was blown away. First of all, Megs is a pro. He took time with me to help me find reasonably priced frames and helped me trim down cost when we could since the art was more "sentimental " than valuable without compromising quality. I picked up my pieces and they were beautiful. He floated two little drawings and trimmed a print and framed it. So many details! Hangers in the back with everything attached so I could easily display it on my wall. The prints were framed beautifully and are clearly professionally done. But what really blew me away was the detail on the back of my print that displayed the artists name and work. I couldn't believe it. (See photo below). My daughter bought the print for me at the Christmas Village in Philly from a local artist. This was completely unexpected, but so lovely! This work and these details go above and beyond. So happy with this place. This type of personal attention doesn't really show up so much anymore. So thankful to Megs and American Picture Framing.
