My husband and I have attended plenty of weddings, and I've even worked behind the scenes at one or two, and I've never gotten to go to one that ran so smoothly. Everything we planned, all the little details and documentation and extra treats for our guests, it all went off without a hitch! And everybody had such a wonderful time, including us :) Usually at weddings, it seems like the bride & groom don't have time to eat or dance or talk to their guests, but we got to do all three, and have beautiful photos & videos taken with our friends and family and guests, because Kristan scheduled everything out so beautifully. The whole wedding day, my husband and I just kept marveling to each other that everything had gone so well and so smoothly, and how genuinely PERFECT the day was! At the end of the night, she helped us with our exit, and we couldn't stop thanking her for making our night so perfect! We really couldn't have asked for a better partner - the smile on her face made us feel like she was just as happy for us as our own family :) Other than our wedding day, I also have to mention how incredibly stress-free the weeks leading up to the wedding day were! The week of our wedding, I mostly just took my dog to the park and went for hikes with our friends and family who were in town for the wedding. Kristan was cc'ing us on all the confirmation emails to vendors, but to be honest, I barely read them because I knew she had everything in hand haha! She had us make all the major decisions weeks and months ahead of time, so by the time we got to the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day, there was nothing left to do but enjoy our time together! Kristan also helped us to find an amazing vendor team and she helped me to articulate my vision. She immediately understood our vision and suggested vendors that were on point but still within our budget. I especially appreciate that she is up to date on the trends but can also advise on what will look timeless. I also liked that she'd text or share instagram posts of things she thought I'd like and was totally willing to adjust orders (multiple times!) and communicate with vendors if I did want to incorporate something new. We had our wedding at my in-laws' home, so I was nervous about all of the vendors working in an unfamiliar space (especially catering using a home kitchen!), but Michelle managed everyone flawlessly and did walk throughs with each vendor to make sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day. Michelle is also the most detail-oriented person I've ever met. She was always five steps ahead of me and thought through every detail down to timing the shuttles so that they didn't have to pass each other on the narrow road leading up to the venue. When I mentioned that I was worried about it being too warm during cocktail hour after checking the weather forecast, she had already looked into renting umbrellas to keep guests comfortable and moving the charcuterie table to a cooler location. She kept us on track for paying our vendors and was knowledgeable about how the rental companies drop off and pick everything up. My husband and I had the BEST stress-free wedding day because we had full trust in Michelle. We miss planning with her, but we still keep in touch. We are SO grateful we had Michelle on our team and can't thank her enough!!

Hire her. It's the one thing I tell everyone you absolutely need. So let's break it down. Either you don't want to do anything for your wedding and you want someone to help from soup to nuts OR you're OCD af and want to plan every little detail of your wedding until you absolutely drive yourself crazy. I guess there's like an in between or something, too. If you fall into the first category, you're going to want to hire Michelle as your full wedding planner. She'll make that ish the wedding of your dreams. If you're like me, you fall into the second category, and you're going to want to hire Michelle as your day of coordinator (DoC), since she's the only person detail oriented enough to handle yo' a$$! ;) Now, there is DIY bride, and then there is me. I made e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g for the wedding. I mean, you find it on Pinterest, I made it. Down to the personalized cornhole, the marquee letters, and the laser cut dessert table signage. That might seem like an easier wedding from the outside, but for a coordinator? That is an absolute sh*t show. She had to set that e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g up day of. I would not trust anyone else to have gotten that done and made everything look perfect. This girl put in 29,000 steps. That is almost 15 miles. Google it. My ceremony and reception were all at the same venue, everything was less than about 500 feet away. You do the math. Beyond that, wedding vendors in general suckkkk. They require so much coordination (assuming they reply to you at all). Michelle is the opposite. She will make you feel like you're her only client even if she has 5 other clients at the same time. She will always get back to your promptly. She will whip your less-than-amazing other vendors right into shape. And above all, she is organized. So organized. She thinks of all the things you won't. I was getting married in Sonoma. She remembered to ask the venue if they had a generator and a backup plan! If you heard about a recent wedding (Sept 2019) at Cornerstone that got evacuated, you know how important this is. Honestly, anything could have happened on my wedding day, and Michelle still would have found a way to make it look just like a fairytale. You absolutely need her in your life if you're getting married and you'll be so glad you did. In closing, let me give you one last example. The week before my wedding, I decided I wanted a horse and carriage for our sendoff (long story). Michelle totally took it in stride, updated the timeline, and made sure to ask us if we wanted to change the photographer's hours so he could stay later and get pics of it. WOW! 10/10, would recommend. Period. Mic drop.

SO BELIEVE US WHEN WE SAY HIRING BRADIE WAS HANDSDOWN ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS WE MADE IN OUR WEDDING PLANNING. We interviewed a couple of other folks, but we knew Bradie was our person RIGHT AWAY. She is warm. She knows how to navigate complicated family dynamics and she is culturally competent (we are both Mexican-American with extended family and also had lots of queer folks at a Catholic Church, which is not an easy feat). Bradie is great at her job, including her timelines, her checklists, her ability to track every contract and vendor down, her day-of emergency bag, and her ability to advocate for the couple and keep spirits high when it gets stressful. Bradie always responded to my MANY questions quickly. And, it rained on our wedding day, but Bradie was prepared. She worked with our venue and redid the whole seating chart just days before so that all were dry. Bradie made the day a lot less stressful, a lot more smooth, and ultimately a lot more special for us and for our friends and family.

We had the vendors but not a clue about the details of how the event should go. That's when we found Kerri. We actually met her through another vendor and got to talking about all sorts of wedding things. During that conversation, it became pretty obvious she knew A LOT about weddings. We asked her at pretty much the last minute to be our day of coordinator and really helped pull everything together. She went above and beyond! She helped organize the vendors so that everything went smoothly. She knew our vision and helped everyone execute it. Admittedly, we weren't the most communicative. We literally had a box of greens and random decorative elements dropped off without telling her ANYTHING. What she managed with those random elements was better than we has envisioned. And while we had people set to help us out, the beautiful floral arrangements we had picked up still hadn't been hung on our arch 30 minutes before the ceremony. Kerri found all the tools she needed and went out in the blazing heat and made it happen. She's an MVP. I knew with her running the show everything would go smooth. Jennifer acted as my day of coordinator and helped me plan my wedding! Before the wedding: Jennifer was easy to contact, I sent her countless emails and chatted with her frequently. She gave me a list of to-dos leading up to the wedding and reminders as it got closer. She came with me to visit the venue twice, was flexible with the schedule, and communicated with all of my vendors leading up to the wedding! Jennifer also sent me timelines of what would happen during the day (almost by the minute)! The day before the wedding, Jennifer helped our bridal party through the rehearsal and even had the officiant (her husband) there! She calmed my stresses to say the least! During the wedding: Though my vision was quite simple, Jennifer helped me execute it to the fullest. After our initial run through Jennifer knew exactly how things needed to run and look , I did not have to ask for a single thing to be changed. Vendors knew where to go, things were set how I wanted them, and she never once asked me for anything (and neither did the vendors). Everything was perfect! She even helped me write a beautiful wedding sign at the last minute!! She was never stressed and that really kept me at ease! Our officiant, Jennifer's Husband also did a fabulous job!! We gave him little direction, keep it short and sweet, involve the guest, and make it fun. He did all of those things and more. I've had many friends compliment how wonderful the ceremony was! At the end of the night Jennifer also took the time to keep many of the mementos I would have forgotten. She saved my bouquet, boutonnieres, the speech my maid of honor wrote, and the little knick knacks left around the venue.
