Fun rise. Holds one parent and one child or two children.

Interesting and fun park in the midst of Pittsburg, CA to take your children to! There are a lot of fun areas to let your children play. Once you pay the entry fee, all the rides are free. Our friend's 7 year old daughter loved the zip line area. You have to wait in line and usually the parents make sure the children take their turns. During the summer, there is a train that goes around the park and there is an area to have picnics and BBQ. There is a wooden house with a rube slide and a mechanical ride that kids will lov This is an older park, but well maintained and the children love going there!

We had my daughter's 2nd birthday party here and it went well! We reserved the Party Castle all day for a great price! Elaine had great communication with planning and reserving the place! Thank you again!

We had the most wonderful experience having our daughter's 2nd birthday party here. Wow. I can't begin to explain how great this place is and what a hidden gem it is! Firstly, Elaine, the woman who runs the place and organizes all the parties, was so patient, helpful and easy to work with. Elaine is the bomb! She hooked us up with a party in the castle on the Sunday before labor day and it was such a great set up, because apparently most people thought it was going to close early that day, but last minute they changed the schedule. It didn't get changed on the website so there were not very many people at the park that day which was great! There are soooo many things to do here. Many playgrounds, different play houses, a zip line, a few rides (the train and carousel are down for an indefinite amount of time, but you don't even need those with everything else going on). If you rent the castle, you only get MORE things to do! There's a huge slide in there (it goes really fast, so rider beware), and there's an obstacle course type thing upstairs. The other incredible thing about the castle is there's a huge table inside with more tables on the outside area, air conditioning, a full kitchen, a BBQ, and a door out the back so at the end of the party, you can drive your car in to load up. The pricing is good! You get discounts if you're bringing over 15 people and then a further discount over 25, I believe. There were so many steps along the way that I was worried the calculation of the reservation or the tickets wouldn't be done right. Or we wouldn't get our deposit back from the city. Everything went so smoothly!! We got all our money back, we were always charged the right amount. I honestly was mad that I hadn't used this place more for my kids prior 6 birthday parties. So don't delay! Have your birthday party there now, you won't regret it.

This is a new discovery cute place nearby! Small amusement great for kids of ages 2 to 10. We love this place for our kids ! I can honestly say that this small is reasonably priced better than the other small amusement I know nearby that goes by tickets. I love how you pay for each person to go in and all rides inside are unlimited for kids. They have lots of cute playgrounds too and cute little ponds and river streams. This place has a nostalgic feel too reminds me of when I was young. I also love how you can reserve a party here for a good price . Only thing is wish that tickets were included with the reservation fee for the spot for all the guests. And maybe if they can add a few more rides inside. This is a truly hidden gem! I hope they don't change.

Small World Park is the kind of place you'd expect to find in San Jose or Oakland - wait, they already have one. But this is in Picksburg? Wow. It's a small-scale park, with several rides, several play areas, several party areas to rent, several places to fish. Geared toward the younger set. And for the majority of parents who are low on cash, the prices are small-scale too. It's somewhere between a neighborhood park and Oaktown's Children's Fairyland. We finally went, and come to find out that my daughter is already near the upper age range of who it's built for (she's 7). A birthday party was held here. The girl's grandmother booked the Party Palace, and was amazed at their rental price for 2 hours: "Because sometimes I'm involved in renting rooms for the women's ministries for the church, and over the hill [Concord] we have to pay around $300-400 and still need to provide our own tables and chairs, and this was only $55 for residents for 2 hours. They want a place where residents who don't have a lot of money can rent a room to have these kinds of parties." It looks rinky-dink, but the kids don't care, they'll ride the rides all day. We didn't have or see any incidents, so I don't know first-hand how they handle wild kids or dangerous adults. So Small World is another place where, if you keep your expectations in check, then you'll do fine.

Small, but fun, this park is great for taking the kids for a few hours to play on a carousel, zip line, go down a slide, and ride a few other simple rides. I was able to ride in a ferris wheel with my 1 year old daughter for a few minutes, which was very fun! They have some wide open areas that would be great for children's parties and birthdays. There is a couple of small snack vendors, though we didn't buy anything so I'm not sure what they sell. There is also a train to ride in a circle around the park. I recommend sitting in the far back, away from the noisy engine and gas smell. Avoid the mistake we made :-) It's $6 per adult, $3 for any kid older than 11 months (free if under 11). There really isn't TOO much stuff to do here, but considering the price, and how kids can entertain themselves fairly easily in this place, I'd recommend checking it out at least once. I can definitely see myself bringing my kid here 1-2 times a year. Only downside was we saw a bit of the Pittsburg ghetto here. Heard several people cussing, dropping F-bombs, a woman wearing a shirt indicating she's a pot head, and another dad with his daughter wearing an IPA Lagunitas beer shirt. Not exactly what I want to see at a child at a small children's park. I'd hardly complain if they instituted a "Don't wear drug and alcohol related clothing to the park" policy, which I think would be a good idea. This park is one of those "3 stars is too low, 4 stars is too high" places. I wish Yelp would allow people to rate businesses 3.5 or 4.5 stars for example, but until they do, I'll go with 4 stars. Last but not least, check their operating hours! They arent open year round.

Hiya B.U.M.S., The…read moresummer heat has been absolutely no joke lately, so we packed up and headed over to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Concord to soak in some sun and cool off. Rolling in around noon, the parking lot was surprisingly empty, giving us high hopes for a day of zero lines and endless rides. Of course, a theme park day always comes with a few twists. Here is the summary of our day--the good, the bad, and the delicious. Security screening felt a bit random. While my wife's sandwiches were cleared without an issue, my cousin's chips were a strict no-go. I also forgot I had a tiny Bluetooth speaker clipped to our bag; security let us bring it in, but requested we keep it off (fair enough--no one wants to hear someone else's playlist!). We initially scored a nice shady spot, but the sun moves fast and the shade vanished within an hour! Luckily, we stumbled upon a total "secret spot" to hang out for the rest of the day. (Want the inside scoop? Follow us and drop a DM on Instagram @advntrbums_mb or visit www.advntrbums.com to find out where it is, plus get more of our favorite park tips! ) We purchased the Premium Food Pass (allowing a meal every 90 minutes) and set phone timers to maximize our windows. Our first meal of pizza and breadsticks was decent but a little dry. However, the cheeseburger and fries meals were a massive hit. We ordered three of them throughout the day, and our 11-year-old son chose the burger every single time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The park left the condiments out in the scorching sun (nobody wants warm ranch!). Worse, the fine print failed to mention that desserts were excluded. We saved our last food window for a funnel cake, only to be denied at the counter. The staff couldn't explain the policy, which wasted 30 minutes of our ride time. My waterproof phone case gave out early (cough cough, OtterBox, hook me up for a review! ), so photos were limited, but here is how the rides stacked up: The Big Winners: Tornado was beautifully terrifying--my son and I rode it twice, both taking turns going down the drop backwards! The Honolulu Half-Pipe (the "Blue Taco" ride) was also a massive hit for an 11-year-old. The Water Slides: On the Four-Slide Tower, the Orange Slide had two solid drops and the Yellow Slide was plenty of fun. We skipped the White Slide, and the Blue Slide was closed. Breakpoint Plunge was awesome, and Splash Water Island was a blast to explore. Pools & Rivers: Caribbean Cove won points for having genius in-water benches. The Lazy River was a great length (despite a little floating debris), but Breaker Beach (the wave pool) felt like it was operating at only half-power. We had to skip Big Kahuna entirely due to a massive line and a slow tube-loading system. The biggest drawback was ride efficiency. The staff lacked a smooth system for loading and unloading, making wait times much longer than necessary. Additionally, the restroom cleanliness wasn't up to par for a Six Flags park, and we noticed quite a few ants hanging out around the food shack. Between the line inefficiencies, warm condiments, and the dessert pass surprise, the park layout easily sat at a 2-star rating. However, the sheer amount of smiles, laughs, and pure excitement from the kiddos boosted our final score to a 3 out of 5 stars. Would we go back? Surprisingly, yes. When the California heat is beaming down, you just need a place to jump in and cool off. Hurricane Harbor did exactly what we needed it to do: it kept our family refreshed and making memories together. Until the next adventure, stay cool!

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit, although at times it felt like some areas could have been run a little more efficiently. The biggest downside was the cost of food and drinks, which were very expensive. The restroom facilities could also use more attention and maintenance to improve the overall guest experience. Despite those issues, we still had a great day and enjoyed the attractions. We will definitely be coming back!

I think 3ft is the minimum for getting kids access to 2 of the waterslides. My son just hit that requirement and he had such a blast just with the two slides. I think the 4-5 year olds loved the tide pool and the slides as well. This spot is really convenient for families to just have a place to stay, food, and entertainment all in one place. There are activities like yoga, story time, and arts & crafts. They also have a candy and ice cream shop on site. I really think we could probably come here annually and our kids can keep coming back to experience new things. My son only explored a fraction of the park, so I think by next year he'll have an even better time. Food here is mostly fried and not super diverse. Manage your expectations for healthier options because they really cater to the kids with pizza, burgers, nachos. The one salad they had on the menu was shockingly nor good. I don't miss like that bathrooms are available in the front and back of the park. The front bathrooms in the check in area have lockers and showers. There is also a bathing suit spin dryer. We also witnessed adults walking around the top floors with their kids and going down the slides. It seems that the rules aren't applicable to everyone. Tons of balls in the ball pit were deflated, the ball cannon shooters were not working and that's pretty much all there is to do if you stay on the ground floor. Older kids can play in the ball pit and it's simply way too small for that. My daughter was terrified of the older kids running and jumping into the pit around her. It was a rainy day outside and very crowded. I asked one of the floor workers if she could turn on the giant overhead fan to help move some air around since it was very muggy and warm and she said she had to ask the owner first. She even admitted she was getting hot as well. 20 minutes went by and it was never turned on. I guess it doesn't work? Not sure why you need to ask the owner for permission to turn on a fan. The layout could use a little rearranging. It's a cool concept, just not executed nearly as well as others with the same idea. For the price, $40-ish for two adults to accompany their toddler, it's absolutely not worth it. We won't be returning. Also keep in mind, if you order tickets and sign the waiver ahead of time, you'll still have to wait in line behind people who didn't. Just one person in front of us with one child took 15 minutes to buy their tickets and sign the waiver. Once we were checked in which took less than 5 minutes, the line was out the door. There are also no lockers to safely put your belongings in, just open cubby's.
