Whatever you do, do not use this company. I was loyal to this company for over 5 years. Here's why they are terrible: -Their quote is a lie. For many years they quoted "tip-included" which the driver would argue it's not. Nothing like ending a wine day like fighting with your limo driver! -They'll cancel on you last minute and make it seem like it's your fault. -Simon, the owner, is incredible rude, arrogant. and the last person you want to deal with when they screw everything else up. This business is shameful. Found the business via Groupon was quoted $375 plus $100 for an additional hour. I was told that included gratuity. The limo was nice. The driver was excellent. The driver told me the cost was actually $375 not $475 but I told the driver i still would pay $475. I paid $50 in cash and charged $425 to my account. However, at the end of the night my bank flagged the company charged over $640 to my account. It was then that he sends an updated bill after the ride had ended with additional charges that were never previously discussed. I would not agree and blocked the payment. I called to check in with the driver and he told me to hold my ground and have my paperwork in order because this is Simon's mode of operation. To say the least, Simon loves running to small claims court. Despite trying to pay the original $475, even tho the driver text me visual proof of the final $375, Simon would not accept. When we went to court, despite the judge pushing for simple mediation he would not budge. Ultimately, the judge agreed with original price and stated I pay $425. I was delayed in receiving the final court documents and had serious health issues mid Jan. 2019. I was unable to mail the check until Jan. 26. The following week i had surgery and have been down the past 5 weeks. I reached out to Simon to ask why the check had not been cashed and he lied and said he didn't receive it and filed another court motion. He now says I need to pay an additional $60 to cover his new filing despite the note that I was making the payment. That is ludicrous nor is it court ordered so he will most likely try to take me back to court for $60. All in all, this man is insane. Save yourself the time and trouble and find another company. Paying an additional $100 - $200 for high quality service is worth it. I am reporting him to BBB and every other place I can file a complaint. read more

I have done multiple wine tours since moving to the area. This is by far the worst. Our driver barely spoke any english meaning more the 90% of what we said to him he didn't get. I mean "please turn on the A/C" isn't that difficult or "we're at the intersection between Market and 2nd." Not opening the door for you, that's common courtesy. He wasn't apologetic for anything even though the limo was super hot and humid for most the trip because a.) he didn't know how to turn the A/C in the back for the first hour and b.) the limo was SUPER old and it took forever for there to be actual cold air AFTER he finally learned how to turn on the A/C. Shouldn't he have been taught how to manage the car before taking people???? Think about the safety issues of not knowing how to drive a car. Also, because he was unfamiliar with the car he was driving super slow with cars passing us left and right and then we get a surcharge after he was driving super slow and he was late. Also, we almost left someone because he started driving with the door open and didn't hear us screaming to stop from the back until i had to pound the divider. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Save your money and go to another Transportation company like I did in the past not only are they cheaper but YOUR DAY won't be RUINED. read more

We used Lau's for my sisters Batchlorette party and attended a SF Giants game. We had a wonderful time and an exciting ride.

Three of my friends and I went to Napa on 4th of July with Lau's Transporation to taste wine. To my surprise, we discovered many new places that we never been to, thanks to Mr. Lau's local knowledge. Oh and did I mention for the price, you just can't beat it. Call around and you will realize he is the best deal in town. And of course, the more friends you have the cheaper it gets. His Lincoln limo sits up to 10. That means it's about $10/hour not including tip, of course. For that price, you can't even get into a bus. I am also planning another trip to Carmel & Monterey with Lau's... his panoramic windows will be great to see the ocean fronts. read more

Our experience to Napa was absolutely wonderful. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit nervous, but I had absolutely no issues. However, after digging through the reviews, it seemed like the biggest problem was hidden fees, which I knew about because of the comments. I listed them out via email and confirmed them with Simon a week before the trip. He was really helpful validated my pricing. The limo was fun and stocked with drinks and Simon was able to come to where we were at a moments notice. He also dealt with 8 new grads and Lizzo blasting in the car, so props to him! Would definitely recommend the service with Simon as the driver, but make sure you understand all the fees (and potential fees) beforehand. read more

BEWARE booking with this company. If you think the price is too good to be true, it's because it is with Lau's Transportation... I was quoted $325 total including gratuity, tax and tolls for a 6 hour ride for 8 people. At the end of it all, I was forced to pay $686. I chose to pay cash because I didn't want the 5% credit card fee. After the driver dropped us off, he said he needed to collect $550 right then. I gave him the amount, thinking I could get my money back after calling and clearing it up with the company. Which was stupid, but I had emails and a signed contract stating the agreed $325 amount. To add, I found an additional $136 charge on my credit card (CC was required for a security deposit). After several attempts calling the company (I only got a call back once I pretended I needed to rent a limo for an upcoming event), they said they would email me the breakdown of the cost. Included in this email was: -- Double the gratuity/tax/toll originally quoted -- Alleged we went an hour into overtime - not true -- Bogus $100 fuel charge -- the location we went to was LESS miles than the Groupon we referenced to get the 'deal' -- Mysterious $50 weekend rate -- never mentioned in original quote I won't be surprised if Lau's transportation comments on this review and gives another BS response. Please do yourself a favor and do NOT do business with this shady company. Even if you get them to 'confirm' the total price, they will surprise you with extra fees in any way they can. This was the least of my worries, but we were told we would have a limo with bluetooth, which wasn't the case. The glasses in the limo were extremely dirty. The only plus side was that the driver was pleasant and surprising to me, they did credit me for the extra cash that I gave the driver the day of. read more

We planned a girl's trip to San Francisco, on our itinerary was a visit to Napa Valley. We booked transportation with Lau's Transportation and it was a very enjoyable experience. We had a very nice 8 passenger limo with a stocked bar, champagne included. Simon was very patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. ** Update on ABYSMAL customer service ** As a response to our problems, we were accused for not informing them of the issues before they quoted us for a surcharge. WOW. We spent the weekend together and were billed for the surcharge Monday morning.. we had already been planning on filing an official complaint when we got back but they beat us to the punch. Seriously, PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay away. ----------- PLEASE BEWARE. I don't know what happened since the last positive review in 2015, but our experience was simply awful. We were part of a group of 8 on a tour of Sonoma this Saturday. I didn't handle the booking, but was told that it was a smooth process. But that was probably the only good part. Our driver reached new heights of unprofessionalism: 1) He was late by 30 minutes and did not apologize for being late. 2) He got lost, and at one point, drove straight into a vineyard and took 5 minutes or so just trying to turn around-- I was worried for the grave vines!! 3) He was incredibly unresponsive/rude - Drove right past us despite the fact that we were waving our hands trying to get him to stop for us (we had to chase the limo down to get in) - NEVER took a single step out of the limo (forget about opening doors, he literally drove away the second we stepped out of the limo without even a goodbye!) - Had no idea how to operate the AC, radio, or the divider and did not even seem to care. During this entire time, we didn't get a single apology. Instead we got annoyed looks when we asked if he could turn on the AC or if he would mind pulling up the divider. Oh, and the best part? We actually got a SURCHARGE of $100 for overtime. Despite the fact that the only reason we were late was because his tardiness+getting lost pushed our schedule to a time with worse traffic!! The limo was beautiful and fully stocked with complimentary champagne, water, soda and glasses, of course! Charles, our driver, was extremely friendly and flexible because we changed our itinerary at the last minute. I highly recommend Lau's Transportation, especially for tours of wine country. They know the area and can customize your wine tour so you can visit as many wineries as possible. read more

This company has serious issues with customer service. I saw a Groupon for a Napa trip offered by this company for 6-hours. They sent me an email telling me we could settle outside of Groupon for the same price with the breakdown of charges. At the end of the trip, I was charged $620, with $100 overtime and $150 gratuity irrespective of quality of service provided. Also, I was charged $42 for 2 broken stemware. Only one broke of no fault of the folks in the limo. The driver applied a sudden brake and the sparkling wine glass popped out of the holder ( we were not informed that we were not supposed to use the Rock glass holders for sparking wine stemware!) and broke, spilling the wine on me. We told the driver immediately what had happened and he told us not to worry about it implying it probably happened before. This company is a scam, you will end up paying almost 3-times what you sign up for in Groupon. I even included the pic of the glass right before it broke, with no one holding it. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I booked for Labor Day Weekend and Lau's helped me plan out 3 wineries in 6 hours, including pickup from SF. Charles was on time and very informative about the amenities in the limo. He immediately adjusted our schedule so we could pick up an additional friend from a different location and even offered to adjust our start time. He was very courteous and fun. He went with the flow in terms of adjusting to our schedule due to traffic and having to make a bathroom pit stop on the way. He was reachable via text throughout our trip. I even left my ipod and Lau's service delivered it back to my house two days later, without me even requesting this!!!!! I was planning to have to pick it up myself but they had a driver in the city. It was amazing. This was by far the most affordable service I found after much searching, willing to beat their competitors prices, and NO hidden fees!! Make sure to ask about tax, tip, and service fees from other companies because they are no where near as upfront as Lau's. Thanks so much for a great trip to Sonoma. read more

Simon was our driver for a Napa trip and he did everything right. He was at our pick-up location 30 minutes before our actual pick-up time which is really important, considering that a lot of the other limo offers on Living Social had yelp reviews complaining of tardiness. Simon knew where he was going and what he was doing, which allowed us to get as wine wasted as we wanted without having to worry. Simon responded to my previous review with lies. He never mentioned the additional $300+ fees prior to the services rendered. He chose a limo, I agreed assuming that it was the same pricd previously agreed to. I should have asked if it cost the same but I expected h to inform me that there would be a $300+ difference. He also mentioned that I redeemed an expired voucher but again our original date was past the expiration date and he didn't mention it then that it would be an additional $300+. For the foregoing reasons, I believe he deliberately sought to grossly overcharge for fees that most vendors, with integrity, would have informed me of prior to services being rendered. read more

This is my first Yelp review and I'm inspired to right because it's so rare to find true examples of customer service. I contacted Lau's only a week before arriving in Sonoma and hadn't yet found a tour company. Lau's great reviews and reasonable pricing were then matched by responsiveness and flexibility. The driver was early and always waiting for us at each of the vineyards. He too was flexible, friendly and not intrusive. I did have some minimal feedback for Lau's afterwards but their quick response and actions make me think it has been fixed.
