Disappointing first and last experience at this unfortunately dishonest business. Long story short- they quoted me $17, then claimed they made a mistake and that it was actually $55. I negotiated down to $35, and they refused to return my jacket for less than that. I came in with a coat, and was told it would "$17 for a jacket," and I could pickup Tuesday afternoon. The website says $15 for a jacket, but whatever. Tuesday evening, first I try to pick up the coat and the store was closed for a little while randomly so I had to come back. Second, the man told me he called me earlier to notify of their mistake, they charged me for a "regular jacket" instead of a "warm jacket," and had to charge me $55. I asked for the original price to be honored. After a discussion, he lowered the price to $45, and after he made a call, $35. Mind you, the most expensive price on their website is $45, for a down coat, and this is just a felt winter jacket. I feel baited, switched, and taken advantage of. I was supposed to get 20% off just for being a new customer! And I ended up being charged double what I was told and what was printed on my ticket. read more

BEWARE - Dishonest and Irresponsible Cleaning! I brought in a delicate vintage dress and specifically asked if they could clean it safely. They assured me it would be hand washed and that they were experienced in handling fragile materials. Then, I get a call from a different cleaner they outsourced the job to--without telling me--saying the lace was ripped and offering to fix it for an extra charge! My dress had just come from alterations in perfect condition, so I immediately went to pick it up. When I got my dress back, it was clearly machine-washed despite their promise to hand wash it. The fabric was ruined, and the lace was damaged. To make matters worse, they denied touching the dress at all, even though it obviously smelled freshly cleaned. DO NOT trust them with anything valuable. They are dishonest and careless with delicate garments! read more

Was given my brand new shirt bleached And I was told it was my fault and my " oils " when the shirt was dropped off with the tags still on it and never worn. Owner argued and berated me saying it was my fault. When I asked if they washed their washers between customers at first they said they only wash the outside and then that they used Clorox and then Eventually I was told they don't actually wash their washers. Update to owner response Once again I'm being gaslit, owner responded and said it should have separated my clothes form whites to darks. And that the shirt was bleached previous .. how? Which makes no sense since I had zero whites to be washed. Your pathetic excuse of a response shows just how in the wrong you are. How is it possible that a BRAND NEW shirt with the price tag still on it comes back with bleach spots ? I argued with the front desk guy and he did In fact tell me it was my fault multiple times as well as the owner when I called. Not to mention the way he spoke " look lady your oils ruined your shirt " And lastly, do you or do you not wash your machines ? Since I was there in person and the person who responded to this wasn't. I was told they only wash the outsides of the machines. Own up to the the fact you ruined a piece of clothing. Ok, so, here we go...Lavi Cleaners is probably, literally, the best dry cleaners I have used in the over 15+ (and going strong!) years I have lived here in Manhattan. Vincent, the owner, works along side his parents, and they put a great deal of effort and care into making your garments sparkling clean-if not even cleaner than when you brought them in. Have sensitive skin? Fear, not! Vincent and his team have you covered-and will use, at your request, special detergent to dry clean and launder your clothes. Most recently I brought in some items to Lavi Cleaners that I picked up at a thrift shop. Wow(!), is all I can say!! The clothes came out looking like they were laundered and cleaned at The Ritz-Carlton and wore veneers (professionally done, super -"white" teeth for those who might not know)!! Highly recommend this place to alter clothes! I brought several of my pants to get the waistline shortened, some of them are designer brands, it was risky I thought initially because I requested to shorten almost two sizes down, but the result turned out very great! The alteration lady did a perfect job to make the pants look exactly as how it looks like originally, and they fit me perfectly now! I don't have to play russian roulette with my laundry anymore, wondering if I'm going to be getting everything back!! I submitted an order for a 7-8:30am pickup the NIGHT BEFORE after hours. Despite the short notice, they confirmed the order, and was extremely punctual, and showed up at 8am SHARP. Rather than having to contact customer service, be put on hold and wait to hear back within 24-48hrs, the driver is directly reachable via text or call, which is super convenient. The next day, delivery was exactly on time yet again. This is such a rarity: They followed every instruction for the laundry, folded them so neatly and tightly that I don't know how they could've humanly managed it, and even their price is more than reasonable. I live in HK, and they're only $0.05/lb more expensive than the local laundromat that is 5 streets away from me. Seriously, I cannot express my gratitude and relief to know that I FINALLY found a reliable, punctual and trustworthy laundromat. I don't have to worry about carving out a day on my weekend, just to account for late pickups or deliveries like I used to.
